FRUSTRATED
Overly religious
Somewhat contagious
Satisfyingly together
Representing the Father
I tried and I tried
But they just kept on lying
I tried and I tried
And I said to myself, what is it all for
The beauty of it all
Is that we (none) of us has to fall
And I just received the call
Don’t hang up it’s from God
I tried and I tried
And I said to myself, what is it all for
I tried and I tried
But they just kept on lying
They sin and they have sinned
The people keep on dying
I must apologize for the wrongs I’ve done Lord;
I repent and recognize that you are glorified
And you died for all of my sins
No longer I’m I reprobate
And I am not a longer frustrated

Oh, I have become
Satisfyingly numb
Conceal the way you feel tonight
Oh, I have succumb
To a saturated crumb
Deal with the pain I feel damn right
I...have...become...undone,
A neglected, sad boy
Ease the dread frustration
Just give me some joy
Give me this bravery
Give me attention
The right that's loverly
Feels like I'm in detention
But, Lithium gives a helium high
This rum and coke, I can't deny
Give me something more
Not this feeling of sore
I will soar somehow
I want to, want to now
Not another pill to swallow
Or I'll feel less than human and hallow
Heartache and sore throat
Got me by the gravity afloat
Got me in your grasp once more
Just let me free through that door
I have been down with the fever...
Yet, I survived and am a believer...
I...have...become...undone,
A neglected, sad boy
Ease the dread frustration
Just give me some joy
Give me this bravery
Give me attention
The right that's loverly
Feels like I'm in detention
But, Lithium gives a helium high
This rum and coke, I can't deny
Give me something more
Not this feeling of sore
I will soar somehow
I want to, want to now
Not another pill to swallow
Or I'll feel less human and hallow
Just think for a moment
Don't you want freedom?
Gotta start to repent...in my only tent...
Captivity makes us feel numb
Don't you want me to be happy?
Instead, you make me feel crappy
I...have...become...undone,
A neglected, sad boy
Ease the dread frustration
Just give me some joy
Give me this bravery
Give me attention
The right that's loverly
Feels like I'm in detention
But, Lithium gives a helium high
This rum and coke, I can't deny
Give me something more
Not this feeling of sore
I will soar somehow
I want to, want to now
Not another pill to swallow
Or I'll feel less human and hallow
Oooh...let me feel love above all
I'm sick of being as stiff as a wall
I wanna belong, so I made this longing, tear-jerking song
Hoping someone out there can relate and sing along...along...
I wanna be gone, so I grab remaining hope
I wanna belong, so let me sing as I hang on this radiant rope
Boy, I...have...become...undone,
A neglected, sad boy
Girl, ease the dread frustration
Just give me some joy
I never meant to annoy...
I want to...I want to bring you joy...
Hm, a bravery
That's loverly...
my cigarette carton smells like gum
like my mothers bag when i was young.
the cicadas are hidden in the bushes
as if surrounded by the dwell of freedom
which follow me throughout the country.
i prefer the houses far from me
and the floor boards wooden
as the dust that collects is far better than the glass floors that collect crust.
does whispering reveal to me the hidden truth?
then does yelling over the loud thumping music inform me of everything i wished to know about you?
sometimes i wish i didn’t
then you’d save me the trouble of having to find a new you.
you never cared to know me as i did you.
you hurt others because they hurt you
you cheat others because cheating is a rush for you.
you’d made me feel special because life was not so simple for you.
it hurt me at first but i won’t hold it against you.
if you ever truly cared, you’d know
i see things you don’t see
feel things you will never feel
experience life in ways you would despise
but that’s okay.
i live my life in my own way
and i’d hoped your way is desperately despicable
as my life is satisfyingly simple.
Mum, The Financial Advisor
‘You are the tea leaves I am the teapot, I the tiny snowflake and you the snow’
Thus sets the stage of similarities and whatnot, lighting the mood for the afterglow,
The morning after, we see what had been taught, not much but the status quo,
You are the cream and sugar, I am the coffee, I the beehive and you the honey,
Taste has sweetened, well-brewed and lofty, firm prospect meaning money,
More meaningful, and the setting more warmly, gainfully significant and carefree,
Ergo, breakfast entertains calmly and promptly, ending in a financial apogee,
Good morning moments, familial time, satisfyingly, and a future that was meant to be.

Poetic lines from a Poetry Soup Poet - Maria Williams
~~Silent One
My last poem will be a humdinger, will include
a hummingbird in a ruby throated cowl
sipping satisfyingly in Caren’s Krutsinger’s
faerie garden - we’ll be sipping tea or something
stronger. Our muses are quite old by then,
and surely friends. One’s feigning on a daffodil.
The other’s wrinkling her teeny eyes - a scowl.
Instead of Chris Green’s good morning verse,
mine will say farewell to friends. I don’t think
I could cut it short as a monoku but if I’m going
fast I might need to be brief. Perhaps I’d be
silent, as a lightning bug on a Summer’s day —
I’d have to have my mouth
wired shut, my hands in casts (they’d talk too)
I might say, “toodle-loo,” or “ta-ta,” if not too trite.
I’d turn out the stars and the moon, say, “good night.”

You are far away from me,
But don't worry you always belong to me.
When we were kids we often played together,
Now we are apart but suffering together.
I remember, the first time we met,
We shake hands & it felt like we always met.
That day I was not nervous that much,
But our next meeting set my heart on fire so much.
We had started talking happily,
Everyone except me decided our relation easily.
Then I started avoiding you lightly,
But in mind you were my future slightly.
One day we had a fight,
You apologize asking " Are you alright ?"
That day I understand your feelings,
And decided not to face any dealings.
Even after 6 years of love,
You are still like a silent dove.
We haven't meet satisfyingly till now,
But I know we will keep loving each other anyhow.
I just want you to say " You are mine,
And I'll wait till you shine".
I don't want you as a brightest start of world,
I just want you as a part around which my life Swirled.
The poems I never wrote are exquisite
Deep clear pools that reflect and reveal their readers
Nuanced and subtle, full of symbols and hidden meaning
Peeling back new layers upon each return
The poems I never wrote are bestsellers
Attenborough voiceovers and roadhouse storytellers
On bedside tables, dog-eared and marked up
The subject of disagreements over coffee house scones
The poems I never wrote are a perfect sigh
Lyrical, rolling off the tongue, effortless as breathing
Resolved with delight on the final line
Lacking nothing, possessed of no excess
The poems I never wrote are an enigma
An unanswered question desirous of much
A doorway into a new world fraught with possibility
Mysterious and unresolved, yet satisfyingly so
This is not one of those

At only eight weeks, your entire kitten form fit easily into my cupped palms come together as if in -
So satisfyingly soft, your striped fur and your new baby purr. I could not resist your warm cuteness.
My little alarm clock. You're standing on my resting chest. Carefully keeping track of the tick tocks
of time between tender-pawed padded taps on my cheek. Yes, yes... I see the time my sweet friend and I know you depend on me. I again doze, until once again rose by my other cheek tap-tapped. Uummm... hhhmmm I say. Roll over. Snooze. This our morning routine you precious thing.
And other times... many times, you have gifted me with kisses. No no... now, now. I refuse to believe
it was merely you grooming yourself with your pink sandpapery tongue inadvertently tickling me
When you stare into my stare, you always win, as you are unblinking in ways that I am not.
What are you thinking little friend? As you look deeply with your clear, clean, sea foam green
eyes. Then, when your unbroken gaze lifts up to the same place on the ceiling in the corner of the room, above my bed, it is prolonged, pensive, uninterrupted. Taking something beautiful in.
Now, we both, a decade older...Oh other species, whose senses far exceed mine in scope and sensitivity, I wish you could tell me what you see. Hopi, don't leave me wondering. Do tell of a wonderous white angel, a cloaked counselor of sorts, an aura of the purest light surrounding him,
A heart-arrow equipped cherub, or spirit guide shape shifting into an orb of other-worldly hues
It couldn't possibly be the Face of --
Come near to me. Curl into my gently bent arm - the small, small weight of your chin on my
shoulder anchors me. Your rhythmic purr begins to align with my pulse. Calms my earthly anxieties
We don't know which of us will remain, miss the other. Thank you for letting me be your cat mother.
