The a To Z of Karma

The A to Z of Karma

The Law of Karma is very deep
As we sow, so shall we reap
The bad we do will make us weep
And the good that we do, we get to keep

It's a Law of Action, a Law of Reaction
It's a Law that says, we get what we give
A Law that ensures what goes around comes around
A Law that's for everyone on this ground

The Law of Karma is born from our Dharma
Karma is a Law, A Universal Law
A Law that watches all our actions
And a Law that ensures the same reaction

If we plant tomatoes, we won't get mangoes
If we plant cactus, we won't get a rose
So also if we do good, our reward will be good
And if we do bad – what returns is just as bad

What is this Law of Cause and Effect?
A Law that ensures the balance is perfect
A Law that records everything we do
Good or bad, it must come back to you

But how does this Law work, we don't know
It belongs to the One who created this show
It controls how on Earth we come and go
Does it end at death? The answer is NO!

Our Body may die, but our Karma stands by
We CAN escape our Karma – that is a lie!
Our Mind will be reborn to live and to die
And we will continue to suffer and cry

Death is not the end; it's just a bend
Whatever we have done has to be undone
If our actions are rewarded as we live – that's great
Otherwise, the residue will decide our next fate

Is our body responsible for how we act?
No, it's our mind that's in charge, in fact
Thus, the Law of Karma is that of the Mind
It's the ego and mind that suffers we find.

It carries the good and the bad that we do
The score doesn't settle at death when we go
Life after life, the score goes on
The Karmic score decides how we are reborn

So should we suffer again and again?
When will we finally escape this pain?
We can if only we Realize the Truth
We must get to the bottom; we must get to the root

What is our purpose of life on Earth?
Are we just born to die and take birth?
Where did we come from? Where do we go?
The Law will go on till the Truth we know

Are we the Body? Are we the Mind?
Are we the Ego? The Truth we must find
The ignorance that's around us, we must rewind
We are Energy of a different kind

The Law of Karma makes this world go round
It's a Law that makes sure all's well on the ground
The Law is for all who come and go
Except for those who understand this show

Only a Matter of Time Part 1 of 3

(Gen. 1: 1, 14 / * Isa. 26: 4 / Isa. 43: 10 , Isa. 44: 6 , Isa. 45: 5-7, 17, Isa. 46: 9-11 /

The King Of Eternity Gave Me Laser Answers
So That I Would Know of All Matters
That It's All Only A Matter of Time
Yes, All Things Are Set In Time's Prime

Yes, It's All Only A Matter of Time's Size
It All Comes In The Frame As Time Supplies
The Past, The Present & The Future All Relates
It All Devolves Upon The Time That It Takes To Make:

Once Upon A Time:
One Drop of Water Pierced A Stone-Face Into A Smile
One Step Then Another Paced A Walk, A Million Miles
One Speck of Dust Then Another Made Earth's Mosaic-Tiles
... of Pebbles Into Boulders Until The Many Mountains Piled
& A Child Grew From An Embryo, As One Cell Multiplied
All In A Matter of Time's Length & Scope & Steady Strides

Once Upon A Time:
One Thread Joined Another Until Its Sewn Into A Fashion Style
& Years Reached The Hour's Stroke That Heralded End of Trials
Each Separate Instant As It Happened - Produced History's Files
See - Its All Only A Matter of Time, All The While

There Is A Time For Every Matter & A Time For Every Thing
It's All Only A Matter of Time's Space, Track & Sync
So It's Only A Matter of Minutes In The Continuum of Time
'Til We'll Meet The Moment - All Is Divine

Whether Its A Hard Conclusion or An Easy Climb
Whether Infinity Is Curved or In A Strict, Straight Line
Whether We Fail To Find Our Own Finally Arrived Sign
Or The Start & A Stop & In The Middle That Binds
Its All Only In A Matter of Time ...

Whether That's To Catch Ocean Waves or A Winds Cadence
Or To Fly Thru Galaxies By The Speed of Light's Radiance
Time Is Ever Moving Forward & Spreading In The Distance
Time Has No Break & Man Can't Hold Time With Resistance

Time Is A Touchstone, That A Traveler Uses As A Chart
Minutes Are Modes of Transport, In Time's Non-Stop March
A Moment Is Only A Motion, of Emotional Import
Yet Whether Its Digital or Analog or Of A Sundial Sort
We Can Touch Time - From Our Own Back-Porch

Time of Itself Is An Interval ... & Time Is A Track
One Can't Rewind Actions & Time Won't Run Back
(Unless of Course GOD Himself Designates That Act)
But Time Is Organized & A Tamper-Proof-Fact

Premium Member Silence of Suicide

Season of death plays her melancholic tune,
tragedy portrayed through a chorus of birds.
In regret, I ponder why you left so soon,
still mourning the impact of your last words.

Demons hid some pieces of your jigsaw brain,
lost in your black abyss, troubles began to form.
Alcohol, drugs and abuse turned your life insane,
but your tongue was silent, battling the storm.

Sometimes I read the note you left behind,
saying you were sorry, but life was not kind.
If only I knew a way for time to rewind,
maybe I could have eased that troubled mind.

Guess you felt death would bring an end to the pain,
hope you found peace from a life you left in vane.

Silent One
27 October 2020

I lost a very special friend to suicide, on new years eve 1996.
It was not my only experience with suicide, but it was one that had a big impact on my life, because, I was the last person she spoke to.
Sadly, I did not get to her in time and she had already departed the world that troubled her so much. At the time, she was only 18.

For years, I struggled to come to terms with it, my coping mechanism was to blank it all out, suppress the emotions. But every new years eve, I would not do anything, it was my way of rebelling against it, I guess. I lived with regret. Sad thing was I never spoke to anyone about it.

I learned to deal with it through writing. My first poem about what happened was in 2015.

Some think suicide is selfish, but it is not. It is difficult for those left behind to deal with it, but we need to understand, people who leave the world in such a way, do not want to die, they want to end the pain.
Sometimes, no matter what we do or say, it may not help.

Always keep an eye out for family and friends, who you may think are feeling low and at times worthless. Many of us, at times, feel we do not belong.
Sometimes, the smallest act of reaching out could make a difference.

If you are feeling suicidal, there are helplines available in your country. Please call someone to talk to them. It could make a difference.

When we feel confused, oppressed, worthless, low, unloved, live a life without affection and understanding... Please remember there is always someone out there who loves and cares about you and will miss you so much if you are gone.

Sorry for the sad poem and thank you for reading.

Stand Up For Our Freedom

I got drunk by my self last night
There was just nothing else to do
I told myself that itll be alright
If I could just get that memory out of sight

My eyes are half closed
From staring down the sun
I’ve been down in the dumps
I’ve had a lot of intoxicating fun

And I’m here to tell you
That life goes on
No matter what happens
No matter how much you hurt come dawn

Remember that hangovers are only temporary
No matter how much they hurt
Sometimes you won’t be able
To have memories of which you revert

The fun is what
Drinking is all about
Remember that yourself
You should never doubt

Instead of drinking in sorrow
And self pity
Get drunk with some girls
Who are kind of pretty

If the good looking ones won’t accompany
In your quest for intoxication
There are always the desperate
In this great nation

Sex is a symbol
Which has made America fine
Naked bodies
So sensually entwined

We are a country
Now based on rules
Created by the greed
Of those political fools

Our rights shall be taken
With the swiftness of the wind
We will not even know
For our perception has thinned

We no longer appreciate
Our gift to be free
And our forefathers
Would most likely agree

We need to stop and rewind
What has our country came to
I think alteration
Is far overdue

We need to remember
What the armed forces died for
Now
More and more

Disgracefully we are becoming
More concerned about police force
What has our country came to?
Shouldn’t we feel at least some remorse?

Pay attention to the news
And you shall see
That this proud country
Is not what it used to be

What have we done?
Is there any way to defend our rights?
There is
You’ve just got to fight

For you must make a stand
This is our home land
We mustn’t have empathy
About this subject at hand

Those who have the power to take action
Have the responsibility to do so
Meaning the tyranny on the horizon
We must overthrow

If we wait too long
We shall face monarchy
Yet rules must be made
For we need not anarchy

Remember what life
Is all about
Freedom is something
We must now bail out

So stand up
Be proud
And in unity
Say aloud

We will not fade into the night
We will not
Be taken without a fight

We’ve done it before
We must do it again
Once more our freedom
Calls for our duty to defend

Real Talk

I don’t know what the problem is

But one thing I can say

We need to get it together

In the very best way

It doesn’t make any sense

That lives are being taken

For idiotic reasons

Killers in the making

How can you speak to your Mother

In such a nasty tone

Having no type of respect

While living in her home

Don’t allow him to degrade you

Make you feel smaller than life

I don’t care if there was a ceremony

And you are his wife

Don’t let her walk all over you

Think she has a fool

Stand up and take charge

But never loose your cool

Don’t let people abuse you

Take things like a grain of salt

If you never stand up for yourself

You’ll continue to get got

Have some self-respect

Pull your pants up off your behind

Act like you have some sense

Because the clock doesn’t rewind

Cover up your assets

Stop walking around with little to nothing on

Have some class about yourself

I don’t understand what’s going on

How many young people

Own a library card

Knowledge is Power

Have some regard

For the older people

Who you cuss in front of on the bus

Smooth out your edges

Stop trying to be so tough

Be your own individual

Stop having such a bad attitude

It can hinder you

From reaching your latitude

Life will teach you many lessons

So be a kid while you can

Enjoy the burdens you don’t have

That you will when you become a woman and a man

Stop killing each other

Shooting guns for fun

Taking people’s lives

Mothers, Fathers, Daughters and Sons

Get your education

Make something of your life

Don’t keep holding up the block

From sun up to moon light

Stop having babies

Just to keep a guy

Most of you now realize

What he said was a lie

Thought he would stick around

Help you raise your child

He’s really still sowing his oats

Out there in the wild

Take the talents that you have

Drawing, singing, rapping, and more

Turn things into a positive

Allow your talents to soar

Don’t be so negative about things

Your output becomes your return

All of your experiences

Are lessons for you to learn

Take heed to what the old folks say

They know what they are speaking about

Don’t be so quick to judge their words

Because they are schooling you

And this is Real Talk

Look At Them

Look at them, tangled in insignificant conversation
about politics or stereotypes of blacks, whites and Asians,
lack of youth education, weather ruined vacations, how inflation squeezing their arm like “yo, I got you taken,
and how fuel became a bill from the money that we are making.
They sacrifice the savings to keep a standard of living.
I hear then talking about their lovers lack of love that they are giving
I say communicate or leave because time is steady ticking
Look at them
Buying expensive rims, and high fashion clothes with sneakers, lugz, and tims. Inside I soul spy like
magnified mri’s an imaginary field force of selfishness and pride.
Careless if they fetus die, cry internal cause maternal really means giving up a lot.
They sacrifice the club shot for shot life and dreams and the scene of kings and queens all decken together…
and their business is each others infused for forever playing tether with the ball of a pendulum. Uncovered
are their memories of covers and words they’ve past uttered…it is just another case of lack of patience
Like gimme good but hold the impregnation. Bright futures still there steady waitin
Look at them
Thinking they can plan their lives, brake the rules of the beehive that ran their lives, make a little honey to
expand their lives, then forget they folk turn around forget they wives.
See she lost her heart and he aint got no eyes but in such a dark world that man is king.’
Look at her flaunting that ring then pawning that ring because all that mattered was a shiny thing. Not the
signs
Look at them tryna rewind. Relight the spark that wouldn’t stay the last 20 times
It should be a crime to try to live back there. Yo people do change but change is rare
They put it all on retail so it can be re-teared
All the hurt made them cold so they don’t care
Blinded by the glare, and the lights and such
Look at them! Don’t they know they done sold too much?

In for a short time touch instead of long term goals
People drive through they souls without no tolls
All control each other’s minds fueled hearts by coal
So hard, so swoll, so invincible is external
Look at them bout to blow so internal
Would you look at them actually living
My observations vicarious as information I’m giving
Look at me all input but no answer
All I am is input but not the answer

"Kris Kringle Kisses Kalliope"

A Dream: the 4th Christmas.

deck the halls
with memories
poets whisper pasts
that are ne’er forgotten

where presents
a life
that’s neatly wrapped
and attempts at

frostily forgotten

tucked under
that big
beautiful
green fir tree

where all the dreams
of poets go
gold starred, tinselled
and angel mounted

ripe cherries
kissed
crassly
under mistletoe

Ah Christmas
capture me up
in your safe
magic arms

let me sip
the nectar from
your sweet eggnog cups
like Puck’s flower flows

on sultry lips
and eyelids
“love-in-idleness”
"The juice of it

on sleeping eyelids laid
will make man
or woman
madly dote

upon the next
live creature
that it sees”
poet or pup

crimson berries crushed
against a velvet tongue
bedazzled and
bewitched

fires crackling
logs like legs
drop and wrap around
the flames

while in my dreams
I await beneath
the sugar coated
blankets of a bed

charmed by snowflakes
dusting houses in a row
through misted windows
where “paper people....

dream
their cardboard dreams”

“how unreal
the whole thing seems
can we be living in a world
that is made of paper mache?

Everything is clean
and so neat
anything that is wrong
can be just swept away”

inside is very still...
not shaken
like a snowglobe -
surreal

damned be
the dams of
Love-in-Idleness
where eyes reflect

your shadow
in my dream
like opium smoke
across cracked glass

remember how we
all once were
some beautiful happy
if we could just pull the chord

so fresh out of ...
class

rewind our time
rewind it
to yesterday
like a toy

across the
ocean bobbing
like a buoy
an Iceberg keens and cries

Nutcracker twirls
Sugarplum
Kris Kringle Kisses
Kalliope

Oberon...

reals
Titania in
Slo mo’

Magic

mmm
Romance

lacy
frosty
melting
snow.

An iceberg cries
in time with
Christmas eyes

"There must have been some magic in
That old top hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around"

Nine of Hearts

the black word at the top
"Confuses"
probably not just me
but what does it me
on this card all about satiation of a puzzle piece of Freudian slips
of the ego maniac dealing me a hand
of a two sided card

The Blue "Spirits" written on the bottom upside down
I do no know the right side up
and the "masks is there on the side

just one card professor
just one card
the nine of hearts
a piece of the puzzle
a piece of the chapter
a legacy of five hearts upright
showing me there is more love than what may be topsy turvy
four hearts upside down under the top five

and when i flip this card over what do i find
on the other side
the six of clubs
a card of success
Blue on top a word that speaks "Alone"

Down at the bottom and upside down
an omen written "within"
and on the side i have "expressive"

My deck of 26 cards with two sides
and these are just a few of my favorite things

the puzzle of Freudian slips
the word game
spirits within
confuses expressive masks
alone

I'll never know

on card with two tails heads and tails
would you like a reading after you read the fairytale?
would you like to know more more than the yes or no to your answer and what
you found here to the question you didn't t know to ask

and what have you found in this moment you are made up
besides the greed and arrogance you pine and hide away?
did you cry
did anyone come to intervene
did the destroyer change your ways from those who could wipe
this place clean
and is time ticking tick tock ticking away
to reflect within the mirrors
around you echoing your souls
as we all cry
and cry like teddy bears
banshee teddy bears
is time still ticking away?

success of being satiated
cursed by being alone within and expressing it
to confuse your spirits and mask it all
such a poetic piece of art

my nine
my nine my valentine six of clubs nine of hearts
trump taking trick winning mastermind trump
hand winning card of the game fortunetellers jaw drop right now
because they are also god given
when they see the mirror magic of alphabets and words reflected in my living
room surrounded by tick tock ticking
clocks

and i cry every night
like a banshee
wanting to rewind the tapes see what i would have missed if i didn't take it all on
and what is left for me
are my hands gonna be clean?

Untitled-Free Thoughts-Rap

Oh well here I go again,
wishin for a dream that I could be wrapped in,
entrapped in,
torn away from addiction,
destroy the tele…
vision they strive to force upon you,
its all false but you know I’m true.
They will not protect you when you scream your broken cries,
they are merely evil faces of masked men behind illuminati eyes
with which they hypnotize,
brainwash you with their lies.
I've got those deep thoughts pouring in,
all the roads I've traveled down
conditions I have traveled in
here in my pretty town,
the 910 deserves a crown.
East Coast I'm representing,
I promise you I am not venting.
High on that purple haze,
And still haven't slept for days,
excuse these bloodshot eyes
with a krispy kreme glaze,
some will try to say its just a silly phase...
My mind is so graphic,
use words like special tactics,
unmistakable like D'Jango,
or a peace signs' angle,
destroy the crave for war and struggle,
no need to explain all the trouble,
with places burstin’ into rubble,
Rebel! Rebel! We’ll show ‘em hell!
I’ll be fightin’ when I'm dead,
kick and scream till my blood is shed,
let authorities know the message will be spread!
Put on a show with a little bit of passion
or the bad things will continue to happen.
Get the love through your head,
all this hatred should be dead,
what I'm saying must be said,
before the gauge goes into red.
With vocabulary this brilliant makes a female more vigilant,
like brothers boston what I speak
my words alone will make you weak, make you faint,
Like blood spilled by hands of a vigilante saint,
trust me lifes too short,
you dont have the time my young cohort,
wait until your words make an enemy
cause their threatened by the uncertainty
that you will make it this far
make a point unlike this war
next thing you know you see ‘em sweat
words fresh like paint drippin with purpose,
makin ‘em wet.
I finger paint a master piece with a just simple rhyme,
just don't pull your piece on me just let me speak, my mind,
while I unwind, rewind all this blasphemy,
continential catastrophe,
I may have to beg and plead so that my boys can rest in peace
sorry for the interruption,
don’t blame me for the corruption,
for now I'll put my words at ease,
hope you told someone you loved them today and that it wasn't a white lie,
just a tease.

Awol At the Aorta Part 1

Awol on the aeorta,
I've built a wall around my heart,
Trying to suppress that which is grieving,
But it's still ripping me apart,

The night falls, elevating whispers,
From the silent gasps and muffled breaths,
Of a young lady in her twenties,
Crying alone and quite depressed, (left in distress)

I recognize her, I recognize this,
A mirrored scene like deja vu,
A woman weaping for a fallen soldier,
Only this time, I am you,

Those last moments start flickering,
Upon the gloomy, dark display,
Of closed lids, soggy eye-lids,
Projecting everything on replay,

My hands grasping the sheets,
My mind on forward and rewind,
As if on cue, I hear you too,
Amongst my stifled cries

My conscience replaying the voice,
Hunting me now is the sound,
Of those uttered words, that still disturb,
You sounding so sure, it's resound

"Call me, I'll be here", I hear you tell me,
Though your presence now lost,
A call too late, maybe on the wrong date
My sanity (it) shall cost,

"Call me, I'll be here", again it echoes.
Best said, forgiveness I now seek
My heart racing, my memory chasing,
Every essence of you makes me weap,

I still remember you crying in Daddy's ears,
Moments before he passed me the phone,
Yet when we spoke you changed your tone,
For me you wanted to be strong,

How alarming it was to hear you cry,
Like a leap year, (it was) a rare occaission
You stood tall and with pride, taking fear for a ride,
Standing at a whopping 5'11,

But it seems one day on Friday the 13th,
While you were stationed on the army base,
A gun was triggered, by the love of your life,
Which continues to baffle me to this day,

It was he, who you cried for when speaking to father,
A lost soldier conquering demons of the mind,
A mental affliction called PTSD
Deteriorated his spirit over time,

He was a soldier in pain, with PTSD,
Even more a father, a spouse, in distraught,
His sweet baby, The heart of his world,
Now the source of his paranoid thought,

Persistent accusations of cheating,
And all the places his mind did go,
The struggle he bore to fight those demons,
Now just part of the media’s show.

I try to find a level of understanding
But this battle I fight on my own,
As guilt consumes me, recurrent thought
Why hadn't I dialed your phone...
