Look at them, tangled in insignificant conversation
about politics or stereotypes of blacks, whites and Asians,
lack of youth education, weather ruined vacations, how inflation squeezing their arm like “yo, I got you taken,
and how fuel became a bill from the money that we are making.
They sacrifice the savings to keep a standard of living.
I hear then talking about their lovers lack of love that they are giving
I say communicate or leave because time is steady ticking
Look at them
Buying expensive rims, and high fashion clothes with sneakers, lugz, and tims. Inside I soul spy like
magnified mri’s an imaginary field force of selfishness and pride.
Careless if they fetus die, cry internal cause maternal really means giving up a lot.
They sacrifice the club shot for shot life and dreams and the scene of kings and queens all decken together…
and their business is each others infused for forever playing tether with the ball of a pendulum. Uncovered
are their memories of covers and words they’ve past uttered…it is just another case of lack of patience
Like gimme good but hold the impregnation. Bright futures still there steady waitin
Look at them
Thinking they can plan their lives, brake the rules of the beehive that ran their lives, make a little honey to
expand their lives, then forget they folk turn around forget they wives.
See she lost her heart and he aint got no eyes but in such a dark world that man is king.’
Look at her flaunting that ring then pawning that ring because all that mattered was a shiny thing. Not the
signs
Look at them tryna rewind. Relight the spark that wouldn’t stay the last 20 times
It should be a crime to try to live back there. Yo people do change but change is rare
They put it all on retail so it can be re-teared
All the hurt made them cold so they don’t care
Blinded by the glare, and the lights and such
Look at them! Don’t they know they done sold too much?
In for a short time touch instead of long term goals
People drive through they souls without no tolls
All control each other’s minds fueled hearts by coal
So hard, so swoll, so invincible is external
Look at them bout to blow so internal
Would you look at them actually living
My observations vicarious as information I’m giving
Look at me all input but no answer
All I am is input but not the answer
Form:
How I have to ponder why I ponder.
How curious am I to know
What it is that draws my thoughts
Like a magnet to
The Meaning of Personality
And how it's everywhere
Yet no where
Because we perceive it
Without needing it
And we use it to describe
Individuality
How curious am I to know
What it is that draws my thoughts
Like a magnet to
The Physiological Process of Thinking
And how our thoughts are physical
While we think of them as
Non-tangible thoughts
While in reality they are
Electronic signals traveling endlessly
An infinite loop of chemical interaction
It captivates my mind
How curious am I to know
What it is that draws my thoughts
Like a magnet to
Who We Really Are
And how other people change us
And how we change over time
The wolf
That started out as
A lamb
How we say we can change
Yet we have no control over it
How we feel ourselves changing
Yet we have no control over it
Just the initial push
From then on
We are rolling down the side
Of the mountain
Only able to change direction slightly
How curious am I to know
What it is that draws my thoughts
Like a magnet to
What Religion is and its impact on Us
And how it is our core belief
We base all our decisions off of it
Whether we planned to or not
Our core beliefs
Make up religion
So that what we truly believe in
Shapes our path
The iron thing leaped
Tiger like at the son
Not quite Icarus in madness from reasons sane
It growled with pain
And shuddered to the brim of tantalized hearts
So all who did not blink saw
Against the sheet of morning light
The debris like feathers
Littering the sorrow of the sea.
And I pondering asked
Just because its wings sizzled off
Could it not swim
Away from the tyranny of fate?
We are such feeble kings
If we cannot recall tomorrow,
If we cannot bind today
And we cannot guarantee tomorrow.
Without power to change time
We change nothing at all,
But are changed to believe
We rule the world
When truly we are ruled.
Out of the gray waters
Out of the salt sea
Comes the dawn bleeding
Tears ... dry as Sahara's sands they fall
Over the earth, a curtain of light
Separating us from memory and gall
