There was confusion
and devastation
followed by a feeling of extreme desperation
as I longed for rejuvenation
so as to go back into the world that I once knew
a world where equanimity
was so true.
But this I was helpless to achieve
just as I was not able to foresee
all that was in store for me
and as I tried to understand
through a persistent desire
to make mind sense of the circumstance
I was devoured
by an emotional fire.
And more confusion
because of all that consumed me
and the feelings that entombed me.
And I eventually started to see my limitations
while hoping for reconciliation
from those feelings I could not control
By way of logic that I knew the mind could hold.
Though benumbed
I desperately attempted to explain the mind’s realizations
to the heart
but logic had been torn away
from my being’s state
for I was now lost in a life of hardship
in a confusing dream
and I was left with my heart’s
subliminal scream.
And I asked…
Where can I find tranquility
from this calamity
that is in the here and now?
And then I finally realized
what I had been offered
and what was now proposed.
I had to let it be.
How could I hold on
when it was so painful for me?
So I surrendered
to the morning seed
which had inseminated my world
and I succumbed to an existence
that seemed surreal
but the course needed
so as to heal.
Final exams start Thursday,
and it’s giving us all the feels.
Finals have a gravity of their own.
Are the papers worse than exams? Maybe.
The tension can be relentless and heavy.
“It’s finals week, see you on the other side.”
As for me, I’m almost packed up.
Time is an odd and unpredictable beast.
It’s hard to believe that in two weeks, I'll be a junior.
It’s an unimaginable prospect.
To work, for a long time at something that seemed impossible
- head down in concentration - then suddenly, like a passing,
cotton cloud somehow became a bunny - everything came into focus.
I’m halfway done. I’m going to make it. I got a chill.
I wanted to throw my lattice windows wide open and scream for joy
- but it might’ve been taken wrong. I’ve no time to give mental health advisors.
Next week might be a more plausible time for wooting.

It has to be said. I’m in love with these songs:
‘Arizona‘ by ‘Ms. White’
‘Blood in the Cut’ by ‘K.Flay’
‘Time Machine’ by ‘Willow’
‘Relax’ by ‘Vacations’
‘Do the motion’ by ‘BoA’
“Tender as a bomb’ by ‘tennis’
A sailor I am, a sailor of life
Who
For decades have been navigating over the
Seas of existence
Many fierce storms I have faced, during the daring
Voyages that I took,
Tempests that have instilled much fear into my heart,
Much dread into my soul
For
They constantly, my very being had threatened
But
All this never were able to deter me from riding
The mighty waves
Because
The intrepidity of youth was filling my hope’s sails with
Dreams so daring
Thus
Amongst the perilous reefs of failure, I cruised, without
Any troubles,
Guided by the beacon's light of expectations that shined
Forever bright
So
After the hurricanes of many disappointments
The calm oceans of realizations, eventually I reached, that
Crossing them, a great joy it was, a cause for celebration,
Thus
When my adventurous self, finally, reached its destination,
Into
The age's harbor of tranquility, triumphantly, I entered, just hours
Before the sun went down, and there
My life’s battered boat I anchored, having pulled first down
The sails.
Now, as I am preparing myself for the closing of my days
Very nostalgic I have become, just thinking with delight
The countless fearsome storms, I once, so bravely had
Faced!

THE LAST NEGOTIATIONS
The child that I was – Never believed in death-
Loving life so much that I cud not conceive of it.
Time – states of minds- growth-maturation
New realizations, that interfered with my own
Understanding of, life death and purpose.
Collecting bits of earth- I loved her
Wanted to hold on to whatever came from her.
Butterflies, fire flies-lady bugs and praying mantis.
Geology was my solace.
The sun kept my “pet rocks”
Warm for me –
Unlike the trees, Moon, and Stars,
I could hold on to them.
Rocks, stones, and driftwood and the like- All
Had the formation and the beauty
That drew me in as if it had a personality.
I loved them, and knew they each had a story-
Unlike living pets, I also knew my rocks would never die.
I had grown up to find that the deal I made with God.
{To never let me die}, was neither, doable, nor had the Bargain
Been sealed on the other end.
I have seen people suffer and grow old.
Therefore, I have made a new deal, asking God.
” Please do not let me grow old”
with incontinence and feebleness;
Afraid while moving towards my
impermanence my mind may tell me to;
Seasoning my food with cleansing powered instead of salt.
Once I never wanted to grow old-
Once, I longed to stay upon on the earth forever:
With the promise of the unknown heaven as a reward,
I still opted to stay.
Today I have Different eyes, think different ways.
I have made a new deal with my creator,
Which is: “Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord my breath to take. I pray
my kept soul be set free,
and my loved ones to keep,
Come gently and swiftly
I speak the uttered lines.
To fit my worth- Not so eager to
remain on earth anymore.
No longer is the earth my turf.
Not the version prayed for as a child.
Let me Die peacefully in my sleep.
Bury my Ashes in the Black sand,
Cover me with beautiful Stones.
Until I take root and grow something
healing from my rich soot.
Greater now is my faithfulness.
For I no longer fear death.,
But fear what has become of this earth.
I want no turmoil to spoil my peaceful transition.
A definite air permeates
When in the walls of my room
Projected productivity is it?
Or rather the reflection of what those expect of me
Identity found... lost, through my grasp
Hard to dicier or fully know
Craving change, something swift
Yet nothing short of raw, with nature as my muse
Possibilities seem infinite, away from these parts
Just the sheer art of crossing unforeseen paths
Evoking my soul and lust for life, I sit and wait
As if the trust I should place in myself lies agape
Too close to home, I feel exposed
To judgements, expectations, and morale I hope I lack
By that I mean from their skewed sightings of things
And so the awe of discovery calls me
Replacing shame, resistance, anger, yet-
Through times of stagnancy I surely say...
Have I truly surpassed these past felt ways?
Assured, I realize triggers do arise, often times
Standing in the kitchen, pacing the halls, walking
Phone calls, a pause, anticipated familial talks...it all
Tales to be told to the generation to be
A family I will hold dear, never inflict previous cycles upon
Shared highlight reel of what once was, and everything in between
I love certain
if I then to what extent
I see all have their own thoughts
realizations and actions
sometimes though there's no mention
I fall in to conflict and contradiction
What is good then
either adjusting with all
or carry on my own duties and responsibilities
disregarding their actions
Is it possible to do that
If I do then will it be justice to me and reasonable
I love certain
by expecting nothing
better to do good for all
keeping silence though inner burning at all
Drink deep from an uncaring mother's breast
As the sole consolation prize for the sin of aging
Break yourself upon a wave of malice
Sweeping the unworthy along for a ride
And thus, some men are born as magnets
To attract a certain type to them
How many hammer blows can a sheet take
Before breaking and requiring reforging?
Thus does God cradle me in his lucky embrace
Handing me opportunities perhaps unearned
Allowing me to skate by unscathed in so many ways
In exchange for all the other ways that make it through
A pillar of Luck, both good and bad
To roll one number shy of the winning one
Is also a form of incredible luck
Take solace in knowing you're lucky
Hammer fall, hammer blow
Pound me into mochi and dye me with your matcha
Soft and malleable; a perfect flavor of your choosing
And tear me apart with those perfectly straight teeth
For the sin of overstepping
For the sin of being born lacking chemicals
For the sin of desiring you
For the sin of being one man
Slammed against the ocean floor
An endless rain of hammer blows pounds me into the sand
Worn down by the abrasive crystals
And born anew as sea glass by your wave
"Break yourself upon my wave," you laugh
As six months pass with startling realizations
Craving more, but not from your farm
A brutal tyrant burns down a forest
Your cinnamon poison courses through me
As I forsake medicine in exchange for it
Depressant upon depression
To kill my brain to save my liver
Endlessly gazing forward to stop myself from giving up
When does forward end?
When do I see I spent my life saving myself up
Merely to leave a prettier body behind?
Are you watching, O Sainted Phoenix?
Was forsaking you the event that set me on a cursed timeline?
Was that the moment I should have looked forward
Instead of self-medicating?
Endlessly lost in logic loops
Preventing me from choosing either happiness or despair
Living in a constant state of static stasis
Breaking myself upon your waves.

Not only talking about the tummy
When I say I'm hungry
Always grew up out in the country
Where there weren't always paved roads, it was dusty
And more bumpy
The days usually sunny
Muggy
And occasionally gusty
Certain items left out in the elements turned rusty
Forming a layer that was somewhat crusty
Not yet have I played rugby
Or sipped a double cup that was muddy
Can't see any good in being a druggie
Or whatever you want to call it, maybe a junkie?
History has shown, so you don't neccessarily have to trust me
The times have always been bloody
And rather ugly
Can't rely on being lucky
Because that logic is nutty
I want to see my mother living comfy
And never again crummy
To put it bluntly
Got to think and get that money
Daily not just monthly
Not concerned about any who choose to judge me
Or wether or not, others shall treat me justly
With wisdom realizations came abruptly
Still I try to learn and study
Some say we evolved from monkeys
But we
All have our own opinions and little to any proof of the truth
After all this time, is that sad or funny?
Brainwashed individuals being molded like putty
Behind the scenes things happening corruptly
Try to not be clumsy
And always grumpy
Car crash tests being conducted with a dummy
And at times the end results are so far from lovely

I could write to you about what it feels like to be
unhinged, untethered, to float on a breeze of malintent
But what would it matter to you?
Thinking random thoughts anchorless,
adrift in a typhoon of emotional baggage
for which you have lost the claim tag.
In this flash bulb, pop snap, presto-chango world
where the only sane thing to do, or be, is to be insane,
I could talk to you of that……
Of the parenting child, wiping up the vomit
of a blighted gene pool.
Of the wound-up, pent-up,
morally straightjacketed, youth who has no example
of the rightness of creation or the necessity of destruction.
All this masticating, ruminating, procrastinating
does not stop the clock,
the pendulum continues its swing….

Sometimes within an all too ego driven self,
I assume you don’t know this!
The masses of opiated, upward looking
stiffs, passing through, and over their
pap driven lives don’t know this?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ah, but after realizing I realize nothing
I conclude… you have been there haven’t you?
Perhaps, your realizations did not arrive
from the same lessons as mine.
But after searching through an exorcism of soul
I would think You know,
in your heart of hearts you know.
In one form, or another, at one time, or another,
you have all been there blessed with insanity,
in a world which leaves few other outlets
between life and death.
For the sensitive’s in life are surrounded
with knifes, and guns, and drugs..lures
to cut the tethers, burst our bubbles
and rock our boats.
Deep down in his heart was the draining of sorrow,
Despite the reality of his faith grabbing the dew of every morning,
He forms the power of stable mind but never turns a candle light on,
Whenever words get full in his mouth, darkness fence him tremendously,
He paints down every imagination,
He pens down every echoing sound,
Immediately society set out to brag of their partners, he perceives unsensational dispensation appearing from the ground,
They only haste to rule his meekness with a vile, making him feel bound,
They had no figured realizations to dispose their murderous acts firmly nowed,
In a cage was he alone, despite his presence among men identifiably and unidentifiably yoked,
Finding himself a dream took his spirit toward a lonely road,
Many had the thought to drag his individuality into a black sack,
Hey, those squad never knew what he terms, “logical man of unperforated fact”,
Firmly did he sat to establish a compactible gust,
Since those unaware nuisances steam their senseless passions to mislead with sprinkled dust,
A dagger he raised to butcher their inequity was rightly sharpened for a total must,
And the state of their recalcitrance was divided into shame,
Stelled eyes behind the scene elaborated the story of the meek,
This finely fortified the “ready aimed” of this generation to step up their game,
But the pride insane refused to listen and understand what every sage need,
He was an exradictionary caliber pertain without greed,
And he had it all written on his face, how he wishes all those weakened get freed,
That`s a factuality roofing the head of “THE MEEK”,
Yeah, he was meek…
And no one dares to deny it as truth.
