What Will My Generation Be Known As...

and as the wind starts to blow
I never will never ever know
who will be the one to show
up to represent the populations

and as clouds go overhead
I kindly hear what they said
promising to feed us bread
but give it to other nations

and as raindrops hit my window sill
I hope I can get my fill
of liberty and free will
and truthful realizations

and as the thunder hits
I gather all my wits
to make a stand against it
but I have no relations

as the storm starts to end
I try to make amends
with the political friends
who hand out accusations

who is it that makes a stand
and pull up all our hands
uniting people of the land
with freedom as a destination

all men should be equal here
but that not the case I fear
who will be the one to steer
us out of desperation

then through breaks the sun
promising us someone
who may get the job done
and hopefully meet our expectations

the beams of light cover us all
and we promise not to fall
and hopefully someone hears the call
of our voiceless generation
