The level of Brokenness runs so deep even if I tried to explain I feel no one could understand. The pain in my heart has left a hole in my soul, and only God Yahweh can make me whole. My past haunts me, and how I long to be free
My heart is broken and just like humpty Dumpty, I just want to be put back together again. I want to be loved, but I think how someone loves somebody as broken as me.
I carry around this burden in my external body seeking sweet release in smoke, in a bottle, or in a package, but no relief. I'm screaming inwardly, but no one can hear me, if people could see what I see. They would see a person dying slowly, and I long for the Lord to deliver me.
My Quirk
A thing that bothers me the most,
the quirk that nags at me each day,
my study desktop capped with stuff -
its cluttered surface on display.
Poetry books, card-making drafts,
some poem lines on scribbled notes;
variety of pencils, pens,
and spaces filled with filing totes.
Perhaps an empty coffee cup
and crumbs from lunch or tiny snack.
A cell phone charging, tablet too,
and sheets from folders not put back.
Computer, printer, stacks of poems;
scattered photos, mail not read.
Some bills to pay, and some to file;
this vision messes up my head!
It drives me crazy! But, I smile
and disregard my mind's complaints.
My picture-perfect desktop dream?
Perhaps in heaven with the saints!
Outside my study, rooms are neat;
most things in place and looking fine.
But in this wild space, I create!
My freedom to compose, design!

A shadow of the self
but a sliver of me
you know the inner self
and the turmoil that can be
Perhaps I have shown
you more of my self
then I should, or was wise
But for once I could not cover with half truths
and never do I speak lies
Perhaps its the outer me
I should have shared all along
The person with all the strengths
and no cracks to be shown
And yet the seams are there
the careful repair of my life
The jagged edges filigreed
embellished against the strife
The stress fractures of my soul
gave to your gentle hand
And it frightened you
to meet the depth
and the truth of what I am
So I will seal up the cracks
put back up the structure, hide inner
me from view
And extend the hand of friendship
start over
and clean up my "act" for you
You say I make you dopey,
well I am goofy in response
All I know is I care
and not just for a romance.

Father and Father
Im leaving shallow waters
Im leaving all my dreams of you
I can't go on
I want to run away
I want to run back to the arms of you
Everybody hurts
When tears in heaven
And the Raven
Is waiting on the other side
Like a jilted bride
Favorites and memories
On the cliff edge of a prehistoric mountain
Scattering the ashes upon the winds of truth
Hoping and praying the fountain of youth
Can put back Father and Father
Back together again
But even i don't believe
That when 1 leaves
All the kings horses
And all the kings men
Can't bring the dead back
I was taught only God can do that
And he wouldn't have taken him
In the 1st place
Because he doesn't make mistakes
He just poses question's
And hurtful lessons
I borrowed a colour from the ocean today,
Placed in my blue denim jeans,
In my pocket along with all of my love,
With all of my stowed away dreams,
To brighten and lighten my fantastic hopes,
Be a rainbow of trust with a crave,
With gold at the bottom of both of its legs,
My colour that came from a wave,
It radiated love like a story made now,
It fed every wish I had thought,
It fed and grew every little piece of here,
Grew tall from the shortest of short,
This colour I borrowed from the water today,
Was a free sort of abstract,
Idea that nourished all in my pocket,
That I used and now will put back.
Feelings I cannot explain
Sends chills through me everyday
Like a ghost is passing through
Haunting memories of you
That I dream of every night
Of a very deadly sight
That will not let go of me
I will never be set free
From tears rolling down my face
I live in a darkened place
With no lover by my side
Ever since we took that ride
Hand in hand-- sharing our hearts
Till a drunk tore us apart
When he didn't stop on red
Alcohol filled up his head
Causing all my dreams to crash
Fading away in a flash
Why can't others stop and think
Of the dangers when they drink
Getting behind a deadly wheel
Not caring how others feel
Ripping their lives all apart
Leaving them a broken heart
That can't be fixed--Put back together
Their happiness is lost forever
The world is filled with good people
But sometimes they just lose their way
As newborns, we all start out the same
With the same joy for life and enthusiastic outlook
THEN we grow up and think to ourselves
“WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING!
If I'd realized what the world would be like
I'd have yelled...
“ARE YOU NUTS... PUT ME BACK IN PLEASE!”
Too late, guess I'll just have to make the best of it
So that's the crux of the matter, this whole thing called life
We can choose to grumble about
What we DON'T have, rather than appreciate we DO have
It's the down side of human nature it seems
I choose, and everyone else can
To live life to the fullest with a zest for the simple joys
I hear ya yelling, “GET BACK IN YOUR CAGE!”
No problem, I'm convinced an upbeat and happy attitude
Is what's got me through these eighty-seven years
So when things seem like they can't get any worse
Remember, you can't be put back in
So try to be the best person you can be
And trust me, LIFE WILL BE A BLAST!
I heard a phrase
Broken Crayons
Still Color
So I take a shade of blue
And sprinkle it on a better version of me
You see
If a crayon still breaks
It can still create a master piece
Each line
Is filled in
Where do I begin
A broken ?? piece
Can be put back together
It may require some work
To move pass the triumphs to get pass the hurt
The crayons still create beauty
From different shades
That are being displayed
Broken Hearts
Still mend
Broken friendships
Can be fixed
Broken records
Can be remixed
Broken vessels
Can be repumped
Broken love
Can be unbroken
Generational curses
Can be changed
Mindsets can't be blamed
It's time for a change
Don't stay the same
Just grow
It's your season
Time to show
Show the world
Who's been waiting
With your dreams
Continue to chase them
With regrets
Don't keep having them
You are amazing and extragravant
Above all
When the name greatest
Your name is called
Take the crayons
Make a mural
You are amazing
That's for sure
You are the cure
To a cureless situation
You are a healing for a nation who need help
You are the awareness to a world that has kept
Kept falling
Live in your purpose
The Lord is calling
For you to be all you can be
Be Great , we all can relate
This is true
Be the best color , be you
Paint the picture
Doesn't mean the picture is perfect
But in the end it will all be worth it

You know its so short lived but do we not think or realise
Who gives it a second thought, it's gone before your eyes
It sounds cynical your born, you live, you die, end of story
One frowns but guess it's part of the cycle of life’s journey
Though I would still question what about the in-between
What’s ones intension we ask our self’s what dose it mean
You know I was once told that time, it will wait for no man
Go with the flow, whinge and whine, or do the best you can
With obstacles to tackle, herldes to jump ,bridges to cross
At times there’s miracles, theirs hope and too, love and loss
What a drag, if not enjoyed, it's endured, where is the rapture
A zigzag, getting annoyed or bored, moments we try to capture
There's no straight path in this life, it's like one side or the other
Makes you laugh or cry at times it's rife , so much too discover
But gone so fast, like your picture taken then faded into obscurity
A touch of a button, a flash, I guess it's just apart of life's journey

Why emotional starvation can be far more devastating than physical deprivation. The choice of iambic tetrameter in place of pentameter gives the sonnet an urgent ballad-like rhythm that mirrors a heavy heartbeat matching the theme. The sonnet is followed by its sequel.

The dismal most of human dread
That might hit a man ‘pon this earth,
And scarce of flesh, nor bleeding red,
Be loveless life of utter dearth.
Faults of flesh can well be treated,
Alleviated if not quite cured,
But no one hospice has e’er made
Wherein a lonely soul’s assured.
Nor yet are medicines invented
To soothe a soul, put back on move,
Many may die for want of bread,
A mere morsel, a roof above—
More die of hearts not beating red,
And perish starved of little love.
And why
We build a world of glowing glass,
Where distant voices crowd the air,
Yet lonely ghosts in silence pass,
Through crowded files of cold despair.
The much-wired grid is deeply cast,
Where sterile screens and sensors peak—
But isolated to the last,
To cold screens the soul scarce can speak.
We scroll through lives of phantom light,
To find a spark we cannot hold,
And starve within a crowded night—
While algorithms grow more bold,
The spirit, frozen stone of blight
Left loosely joined and deeply cold.
