Notes About The Poem

Self help: I Borrowed a Colour From the Ocean

I borrowed a colour from the ocean today,
Placed in my blue denim jeans,
In my pocket along with all of my love,
With all of my stowed away dreams,

To brighten and lighten my fantastic hopes,
Be a rainbow of trust with a crave,
With gold at the bottom of both of its legs,
My colour that came from a wave,

It radiated love like a story made now,
It fed every wish I had thought,
It fed and grew every little piece of here,
Grew tall from the shortest of short,

This colour I borrowed from the water today,
Was a free sort of abstract,
Idea that nourished all in my pocket,
That I used and now will put back.
