Trust in the Lord!

Hey you
Why so silent with no words?
Your indifference say no more
Of your value towards us
Every sunday and fridays are the holies of purity

When our purse do make yours to laugh
How much now is garri?
How much now is fuel?
Not to say of the exchange rate today

Yet in your dignity prayer walk was made
To honour the man in power.
87 naira was more of a deal than 1k we celebrate today,
Not only is the 1k such a bound of joy.

That rehabilitation of those making us smile to our grave
After ransome demands without release
Is your focus.
It is in your ways to say that those good people are our brothers

What an audacity?
What a complicit?
Daily bath in our cry and blood
Is your joy and money bank
But on the sabath you stand on pulpit to preach salvation

Oh tell me not that you are not part
But your complicit and defense of them says it all.
The trauma and death cannot be quatified
Yet your loved ones are in massions with hefty guards ,

While the innocents are in the forest
No facility to be used to get the good guys
Yet Kalu was picked without a blink
Keep praying to God to secure you.

So you preached
But countless of armed officers are your guards
While yours have all relocated from our space.

Oh my bad
Why not dicharge those armed men from being your guards,
Relocate yours to this space?
For us all to keep trusting in the lord to secure us.

Orire has not recovered from the friendly lash
And the demands of your brothers are not limitless.
In a land where witches have the powers to fly
But cant fly to secure our beloved in the forest.
Where herbalist can call on sango, esu, ogun
But cant call on them to savage our land.

Have they all been blindfolded against our land?
Should we say this is a game of the capitalist against the poor?
What then shall we say?
Trust in the lord with all your heart
But where it is neccessary, apply your brain!

The Condition We Living In- Part 1

THE CONDITION WE LIVING IN:Part 1:

The condition we living in,
Kindly ponder over it…?
Hello, Isn`t it intriguing to see the nation loss of hope?
The powers of oneness is no more in existence,
The spirit of patriotism is cast under sections of canalizations,
And everyone seems to put on bright eyes enforced by a grin on a face?

In fact, that’s just a mirage of uncertainties.
The individual heart is yoked with disappointments and depression.
It seems the nation have given up on her benchmark,
Only to pursue paganism as a solution.
Truth is lost in the mouth of our ignorant leaders.
Yet, they come to spit words of promises to propagate relief.
The nation is now reconstructed with deceptions, favoritism and jeopardy.
This is causing millions to be poverty-stricken,
And also plaguing livelihoods with extreme maleficence.
Indeed, this is the condition we living in.

The Spider's Wish

 I tried to be patient
I tried to keep my cool
I tried to be pleasant
And not act like a fool
I tried to be soothing and calm
Like the smell of rose balm
But....
My feelings got the best of me of course
What's worse? I feel like a spider on all fours
I'm burning bright
Right in front of you
I isolate and ignite
Left in back of you
Maybe....
I might have some good news for you -
You're mine and I'm not letting go
You're the victim and I'm the predator or vise versa
I have weaved this web with articulate woe
Collect my tears in your decrepit jar
I like you a lot just the way you are
And....
I'm wishing you'd be my victim forevermore
Well....
What are you waiting for?
Come spend a little time with me, myself and I
Pretty soon, you'll see, with no web of lie,
That I'm in love with knitting ancient grief
I beg for your silent plea and utter relief
I'm underneath you and above you...
Regardless, I'm always there with you
Even if you try to avoid me,
You can't
Where can you flee with my grasp? Will I set you free?
I won't
But, wait...wait!! Please...
I acknowledge you so
Let my weaving powers show
A future for you and I that will grow
Listen to my many legs, scuttling and crawling right next to you now
I am like the mysterious sweat on your brow
I can clearly see...
With a million eyes...
I'm no longer blind
When you're my lovely find
All your callous lies and crooked lullabies - feed to me
All your wretched goodbyes and your sad cries - take it all away possibly
The tiny hairs on my shapeless body stand up a tad
You're my best friend that I never had...oh well, too bad
I tried to be serious
But I got too curious
I tried not to make you uncomfortable
But, I read and taste you like a delectable fable
I'm scorching ice
Right in front of you
You're my living sacrifice
If only you...knew...
What our future may hold
You are beautifully bold
While I'm just a worthless insect
You're just a priceless human being
I wish you were my bug as I expect
When I see you, grace and benevolence is what I'm seeing
You're sweet...and...
Rather salty and
BLAH!
Bitter

College Days
Kevin Davis 2025

Before college, my path was dim, unclear;
I searched for wisdom—something to hold dear,
To hear the call that I was meant to heed,
And shape my best in every thought and deed.

So filled with questions, restless at the gate,
I stepped inside to test my budding fate.
The first year brought the tasks I’d long been told,
Yet each small spark began to kindle bold.

One course, though, stirred a deeper, brighter fire—
It's quiet call awakened true desire.
Beyond its pages, all my thoughts broke free,
Like rivers swelling toward a boundless sea.

By the second year, my hunger sharpened still.
New texts revealed a wider, richer will.
I sought out minds where insight could be bridged—
Where living thought and practice were unfettered.

Then came year three—I pressed with steady aim,
With kindred spirits drawn by equal flame.
We turned to mentors, eager to be shown
How questions grow where seeds of thought are sown.

With tools in hand, with punch cards set in line,
We tested truths by method and design.
We watched, we weighed, let curiosity lead—
Each day a lesson, each attempt a seed.

From patient work, new understandings grew,
Each one a mark, each one a path made new.
Then graduate halls called deeper still my name,
Where discipline refined the inner flame.

Through theses and long, unyielding hours,
I learned the quiet strength of seeking powers.
And colleagues there became enduring friends,
Whose shared pursuits still echo without end.

Even now, though years have drawn their line,
Our paths converge in thought and grand design—
In work, in wonder, still our spirits blend,
For knowledge gained is never at its end.

A Murder of Crows, A Pantheon of Gods!

A Murder of Crows, A Pantheon of Gods!

Monotheism, we’re told, is the way it should be.
But the Heavenly Court doesn’t make it agree.
Similar to the pantheons of many a belief.
All kinds of beings with a head guy as chief.
Whether Zeus or Odin, whatever their name,
The behaviors and hierarchies are always the same.

(The heavenly court or angels in this dictation.
Where do they fall in the story of creation?
Nowhere mentioned in the seven days.
So what do we make of this obvious daze?)

Within the Courts we find all kinds of entities,
With differing functions of various complexities.
Hermes was the messenger for the Olympian Zeus.
And the word angel, means messenger, not really abstruse.

And then there are maidens the gods choose to take,
And often in them, babies they make.
These girls never have a choice in events.
The gods never asked for their consents.
And famous these children did become.
Not hard to imagine, with whom they came from.

So once again, mimesis comes to play.
God impregnates Mary without her say.
And a baby is born and when an adult,
Becomes famous for his actions as a result,
Of being part god as well as part human,
And able to do things, superhuman.

So in the end, we have this god,
In a book which clearly shows a facade,
Of a single deity who reigns alone,
But seems too similar to another’s thrown.

Angels, archangels, principalities and thrones,
Powers, virtues, dominions, all clones,
Of other pantheons in the region.
Really no different in its legion.

So monotheism? Not exactly true.
It doesn’t matter what they tell you.

The truth is there, it’s again, mimetic,
It just keeps repeating as if synergetic.

It is not enough for Man to become

Conscious of himself:

Of his powers

Of his obligations

Of his divinity

Of his communion with the

Totality of things

And

Of the universal truth

But

It is also imperative for him to act,

According to the laws of this truth, physical or mental,

So as Man

To live in harmony with the Cosmos

Thus

The functioning of the world he lives in, would never be disturbed

By

His presence, consequently, the harmony will be

Maintained into eternity

As

The Great Designer Himself has intended to,

From

The first moment of creation!

Accountability

Just read in the papers
your name once more;
illogical the powers
which huddle unseen.
You sat in my class,
scholarship’s pilgrim.
I recall your nascent soul,
tranquil but with drive.

Now, your face, a shock
which scorches my eyes,
Pondering your death
mercifully, my spirit cries.
Last year, reports of gangs
front page news, three guys,
a dusting of charges
assault, theft, DUI’s.
A battle raging.

I thought at the time to call you.
Would it have helped?
Then last month, I read
where you chose to combine
drugs and murder
and it landed you in prison.
The essence of deceit,
you found in suicide.
When did you quit
your search for truth?

As an earthly priest
discreetly I pray
knowing your reward
is beyond my ken.
Your funeral I cannot bear.
An unyielding sense of
guilt shouts, "Shame!"
within this teacher’s core.

My LeftBrain dominant voice
has been almost Either/Or
Win/Lose persuaded

To think accurately,
robustly,
resiliently
requires tuning out RightBrain dissonant feelings
intuitions
flow of conflicting emotions
must not over-rule logical flow of thought,
or effective win/lose communication
will give way to affective lose/lose non-communication
of what is monoculturally significant
useful
valued
healthy
egocentrically wise.

Whereas, my RightBrain recessive integral-spiritual consciousness
prefers transparent flow powers
as more traditionally We-spirited
and immediately health-bound
with bilaterally informed emotive/cognitive resonant wealth.

Here comes World War 3
A song

Look into my eyes son
Tell me what you see
Look up to the skies lord
Here come a world war 3

Line em up and shoot em down
I love efficiency.
wake up and scream
Here come a world war 3

I dont pretend to know
What you're going thru
So dont pretend you know
What I know about you

Time to stand up and see
All the powers that be
Thank u mr. President
Here come a world war 3

Pickin off the enemy
I love the anarchy
Peace thru war
I love the irony
Goodbye world
hello eternity

We cant keep stacking up lies
We need our people back home
Mister cant you hear our cries
Or are we all alone

Welcome to the poker game
You cant bluff me man
My face is like stone son
We holding all the shame

This ain't no game of hearts
Ain't got no cards to dump
We flying all the aces man
And all our kings are Trump

Better together
than falling apart.

Inside I sigh
between sad traumas,
mad bad dramas
fading together
when not
not
not thought and felt glad

Better left together
than falling
falling
falling right wing exhausted
apart

Outside we cry
for fair healthy justice
restoring wealth
amongst resilient us,
becoming enlightened
and left-right co-empowered.

Better communion together
healthier together
wealthier yang-strong union
together co-passionate becoming
learning
knowing
feeling yin-flow reunion

Better together
than falling
falling
failing Sun's spirit
reversing Earth's nature,
bright light
slighting shadow showers
of EarthTribe powers,
roots failing
despairing apart

Inside against outside
ego against eco...
apart

Returns better together
better inside together
better outside together
than falling inside
against outside
apart.
