Time has passed

It was a painful bad time, but its memory has transformed someone’s life
Love has completely trampled him, but its power has ruined the heart

Poor poor man, his feelings were numbed and anesthetized by a hope
He doesn't need this hope anymore, his heart and soul have become…
… completely ruined, a longing desire, he loved this lady; sad desire

Oh, what did this phenomenon sight do to him? To a clean soul
The affection he felt extinguished the flame of his heart
Evil's love saw his pain, his lament, the suffering of his heart

Forget this love, my friend, time has passed
Time has passed, and it will never come back

LEISURE FROM LISTFULNESS
A long & dreary time,exquisite
delight has passed.A perverse
unaccountable feeling.A moment’s
reflection,a store of recollections
a painful task to concentrate upon.
Questions come thronging my pen,
difficult to convey,a matter of doubtful
expediency,leisure from listfulness,
dreamy,beautiful,inconsistent,reflective.
Passion and affections a mute sense of
attachment, yet gratifying. The end of a struggle
From Letters of Charles Dickens

A Phrasis is a structured verse where the poet uses selected prose phrases of another writer’s(not a poet) to compile unique poetry therefrom as a tribute thereto, the word phrasis is Greek for phrase.

Premium Member Haunted Highway

All my life, I've bled my mind
It's painful and it's tolling
Cuz all those dreams I left behind
Is why my head keeps rolling

Chorus:

There's no free rides, they say
No free rides will be coming your way
No free rides today
You know you still have to pay...down this Haunted Highway

I found no reasons in this life
No reasons to be lonely
But heartbreak seasons, they cut like knives
So, no seasons for me only

Chorus:

Boy, there's no free rides, they say
No free rides, I tell you, no way
No free rides today
No matter come what may...down this Haunted Highway

All my life, I've fed the lie
That I could have love my way
Still my head keeps wondering why
Rolling down this endless highway

Chorus:

There'll be no free rides, they say
Pack it up and go your own way
No free rides today
You know we all have to pay...down this Haunted Highway

Premium Member I Do Not Do Confrontation

Confrontation is something other people do
I will lie my way into a corner and beyond the veil
So I do not have to have an altercation with anyone
I cannot fathom bickering or arguing
My parents taught me the value of silent disapproval
Wearing a pasted weirdo Cheshire Cat smile
You would rather lie than tell the truth, my husbands have said.
I have had six of them, and they were not wrong.
Why can’t you just say it like it happened?
Truthfully, I have been fabricating so long, I do not know the truth.
Truth could jump up and bite a giant hole in my cheek.
Yes, that cheek, and I would still lie.
Because I knew that lying might be a way out of a belt whipping.
There is a book called “Why Children Lie.”
We learn to lie if the punishments are too severe,
And we know telling the truth will be painful.
Spoiler alert. I have only had one husband, but I lie.

She

I don't think she needs any sort of introduction.
Forever on my mind, a thought obstruction,
she waltzes through my brain- the angel of seduction.

How could she possibly be of our world?
Her heavenly hair that’s so naturally curled,
And that wonderful face, so pristine and pure.
She is adored by him, too, I am completely sure.

He thinks of her often. She's even in his dreams.
Every single one rips me apart at the seams.
She visits him there, and though it is painful,
I know in my heart that it isn't unfaithful.

But she brings me feelings I haven’t felt before.
A feeling of longing. Is it her I adore?
I understand now why exactly he loves her.
I were him, she would be the one I prefer.

I've come to realize I don’t think I compare.
My hair to hers, though the color we share,
hers is tamed and pristine, unlike mine.
My ugly, choppy hair, the texture of twine.

My boyish body to her feminine curves,
How her perfection can get on my nerves!
Her complexion is favorable, her walk is elite-
There is no fathomable way I can compete.

Maybe I love her, too, for I can now see,
when I truly look through thick clouds of jealousy,
that “she” is the one that I wish was “me”.

The Painful Pedestal

You’re on your own pedestal and I can’t reach out to you
You’re standing tall while others fall behind you too
Sorry if I let you down, but you rise from the ashes somehow
You ride the flames of your passion while I drown in rain anyhow

I’m the best failure you’ve ever had
You’re the worst success and it’s sad
That you had to depart from the light
You’re like a lifeguard without her might

Without you, I can’t breathe anymore
My weak lungs are enflamed and sore
The sky of rainfall collide from bitter clouds and I’m drowning in my lonesome soul
I’m confident that you’ll get out of darkness and enter the crowds of happy people

My chest is sore from a heart beating evermore —
Open up the corridor of my heart’s ability to adore you as you are
I’m trying my best to seek peaceable hope in store —
What more can you ask for? Another remedy to undo your scar?
Torn into pieces and still, I rise to meet my end once more, once more
Could’ve sworn you had me breathless against my will to the core, to the core, to the core

Trapped within this chamber of hell and I insanely call out to you in vain
You zapped the energy out of me in this cell, then I fell down the drain
No one can tell that I was a monster back then
Neither can they tell I can never be a ten again

Reminding myself of the past mistakes I’ve made
I’m sorry I threw at you so much hatred-bitter shade
Envy weighed me down till it made me feel incomplete
Now, I’m barely trying to get back on my weary feet

You held so much abominable regret and I got you so upset
I apologize for the times we accidentally or purposely met
I’ll take responsibility for my heartless actions by satisfying positivity to the max
Have mercy on me, for this pain is uncontrollable…it’s so difficult for me to relax

Hunting In Hollywood

Sweet, little blond thing,
just off the plain from Kentucky,
she’s a solid seven, no higher,
painful to listen to her
reciting lines out loud.
Wants to be an actress,
fresh-faced and eighteen,
just have to dangle bait,
a few bit parts on a sit-com,
walks into the trap, doesn’t resist
just takes of her top…

Thirty-something Asian actress,
has played the ‘best friend’
several times, wants a
leading part. She’s afraid
her career has stalled,
doesn’t know what to do next.
Her agent tells me he
told her to be ‘nice’ to
the producers, and they’ll
be nice back. Looks ashamed
as she unbuttons her jeans…
I love that look…Such easy prey…

Forty-four-year-old pin-up blond,
has graced men’s magazines
and summer blockbusters.
Lines form around her eyes,
the roles stop coming
but she has a mansion,
and an ex-husband on alimony,
needs to work.
“Let’s get this over with,”
she says, walking right
into my sights…

You asked about hunting…
Wait, you men those people
who go out and shoot deer?
Bunch of monsters, vicious
backwoods hicks. Thankfully
we have evolved past that…

Premium Member Notes

The notes from piano keys tap on my heart
This music reaches a sad place, a very sad place
Where tears hide and heartbeats hold painful things
My mind tries to sort out so much that hurts
Some things are stuck and rusted from the past
The rest is right here, happening right now
To acknowledge, but also to distance from
To grieve, but not get stuck in any dark hole
To keep on surviving, when that has been a theme in life
And to still know my limits, when there is much to do
To have faith in the darkness as past and present merge
I can still see, I can still be thankful and I may still rest
I watch my friend suffer and I look back on others I couldn’t save
The tears begin to fall from my flooded heart and I tell myself,
I’m cleansing once again, once again, skies will clear
I must be alright, I will be alright, peace will return again

Premium Member Conjecture Of Love

I don't believe that
one can measure love --
subjective as it is selective

don't believe one can time
love -- schedule and depot
all its own

can't give it a firm reference number

one's so-called all-knowing, reliable
Smart Phone

(only a naive fool would think that love
is intelligent)

ether with you...or alone --

however, love is always compassionate
and sharing~ while forever remaining
a mystery as to its true method of divine
pairing

(all will be said of love
or not said~ not debatable,
its painful, confounding silence)

often usurped by evil -- falsely
accused, love the protagonist
of, not only all healing, but

man's abundance of violence --

Silhouette of a Broken Home

[5]He sits in a corner
Like a stranger in wander.
He knew it wasn't worth it
Yet asunder became winner,
Now he is a lone ranger
For giving in to the
Home breaker.
Anger, slander, character,
Causing matrimonial
Disaster.

[10]He carried his lunchbox
In order to catch up with
The school bus...,
Pale, pathetic, not to
Miss daddy's absence
Is a paradox,
For he could not understand
Why things are thus.
All he knew is daddy's
Painful absence.

[15]All day long his image crept in,
She tried to let it go but
It remained within.
Her bed seemed bigger
And the time looked slower,
Love missing in action,
For anger, slander, character, causing
Matrimonial disaster.

[20]Silhouette of a broken home,
Love turned sour...
If you think is to garbage
And retire, then you're
A lair and a romantic slacker
For letting the innocent
Child suffer...
