And That Was When...

                                                      1.

Those days were worlds unto themselves;
 Days Forever,
 The night Eternity
When the truth that makes liars of us all,
The knowledge of the Thing That Awaits Us All,
Had not yet tainted us.

You could
From moment to moment
Be anything, anyone you wanted
Minds unconstrained
We wandered freely, evolved on our own
Through all the uncounted hours

                                                       2.

Sunrise to sunset,
All a constant flow
All things aglow
With potential,
Nothing impossible, nothing implausible.

This was the time you faintly remember
Through the falling torrent of later years.
Those years bury memories
Until you call them back
In the simplicity
Of age.

The dawning of life, the era of magic
The crucible that mixes the elements
Of what we are to be,
Fires and forms the shape that is to come
The sculpture awaiting within the stone we chip
To reveal our true selves
To ourselves.

Premium Member RIVER FLOWS

              From the rigid stubborn mountain
              through chasms oozing free fountain.
Frolic fall broke in brook again,
shake pebbles, make way in stream.
              River flows fulfilling dream.

            Little brittle ripples to dance
            River runs, waves propagate, prance,
soak soil of banks and enhance
            deposit alluvial !
            Vegetation survival.

            Ripples roll in rhythmic patterns
Ebb and Tide to come up by turn.
In zig -zag line , river to run..
            Up-down going water flow.
from ebb to tide , high or low.

Rivers stir water fast or slow,
ruffling shuffling the speed of flow
Boatman free to float boat and row,
whirls water on stroke of oar,
waves to hit and thrash on shore.

               River always rushing restless
             vibrant, dynamic and ceaseless.
              Aqua flow runs in opulence.
               River flows for forever-
Next, what is its behaviour ?

           'whatever? then and then?
            what to happen?’
                         'It mixes with ocean
                                                on unison.’

Imagine.....
Scrunched lazily in a bed of your chosen leaves each and every night
To pacify your senses in the richness of earthy-scented legacies
Our ecstasy would prompt our dreams to drift away the moonlight
In nature's cupboard saturating us to delight
In this splendiferous ornamental landscape potpourri
Favorites......
There is of course dark green BAY, the pungent sweet shiny leaf
Loved in soups, stews and sauces and decorative wreaths
CILANTRO serves us tasty signals of subtle, herbal, lemony bright
When cooking in our kitchens playground with recipes just right
MINT is the refresher both clean and sharp - so snappy
Essential to the gum we chew, it makes our toothpaste happy
EUCALYPTUS is strong and bittersweet so conspicuously alive
Its medicine embraces our care in illness and with health to survive
PEPPERTREE stuns our tongues devilishly it tastes so hot and tangy
Rudely smacking our senses sharply burning us to the third degree
VERBENA lulls you to a deeper earthly perfume, lusty and titillating
A citrus romance for salacious hearts and sultry languishing
THYME and SAGE mixes well with much especially ROSEMARY and PARSLEY
It is the herbal gift to our Thanksgiving table as we are wise to use it sparsely
PINE has needles long and thin, its woodland floor fusion creates the pathway
For a long journeys venture of our illusions of forest and stream far away

A bed of leaves to lay ourselves each and every night
A gift of dreams these scented legacies, its ecstasy to our senses delight

Romanticio De Amarti

P. Mauriat Eldon she spoke his name for all to remember. His name means basso with the augmentative suffix -one. Her belief was that he was Italian. She spoke of him with a Peking Duck inspired meatloaf with brown rice and cabbage. I love his tone and suttle temperament.Echolocation used to create his image. She spoke of his brother as somewhat clumsy: clownish even, Puchner I believe his name was:Pushner Eldon. He wore rings as Cymbal of His Excellence. The minute the night sky appeared he looked to me to be his: I laughed and called to his brother: who I loved in the night in tones of vengeful desire. The next evening Puchner looked again to me and my suseries of intercessory prayers where answered. Steeped full of desire I allowed him to love me: and was pleased and satisfied. His claves were a rhythmic pattern of satisfaction, soothing my longing and desire." With you,an Everlasting Love" I was a tempress of passion, a lyre beneath the flute! Propulsive grooves, that created a duration of want and need.
The oils of the supper plate coated my mouth as he kissed me..Issuing me published to the world. I stood beside him for day's and at night I loved him with a deep neverending ppassion.People had to cause us to stand before God as one. In such doings I had achieve all that a woman could acheive in finding: the satisfaction of belonging until I was made his before God and man. I smiled in delight that some saw me different: he who I had learned to love had made me steeped into oneness

Premium Member The Duty of Some Poets

THE DUTY OF SOME POETS IS TO TO FULFILL THE TRUTH.THE DUTY OF OTHER POETS IS TO FULFILL FICTION. POETRY HAS A DUTY TO FULFILL WHAT EVER NEEDS TO BE FULFILLED,AND CAN BE FULFILLED VERBALLY! POETRY HAS A DUTY TO FULFILL,AND THE DUTYOF BEING A POET WHETHER YOU ARE RELIGIOUS OR NOT RELIGIOUS! POETRY FULFILLS FROM HEAVEN OR FROM HELL! POETRY IS THE WORD: HEAVEN OR HELL SENT! POETRY HAS A DUTY TO FULFILL: IT MAY NOT BE YOUR WILL,BUT IT WILL FULFILL!!!! THERE IS A DUTY TO GOD THE CREATOR OF ALL LIFE,AND THAT WHICH IS THAT THAT IS ANIMATE,INANIMATE,SPIRIT,AND IS DESCRIBED WITH POETRY MAKES THE POET WISE:EVEN IF THE POET TELLS THE TRUTH OR MIXES THE POETRY WITH FICTION ,AND TELLS LIES. WE AS POETS CAN FEEL THESE VIBES!!!!DO YOU FEEL ALIVE? VIBES,VIBES,VIBES!!!!! WISE,WISE,WISE: TREMENDOUS VIBES!POETS REALLY DO SAVE LIVES WITH OUR POETIC VIBES!!!!WHAT WE WRITE WE MAKE OURSELVES,AND SOMEONE ELSE FEEL,AND WE REALIZE THAT POETRY IS THE REAL DEAL!!! WE TOUCH BODIES,HEARTS,SOULS,AND MINDS,AND WE REALIZE "SPIRITS" OF ALL KINDS!!! PEOPLE NEED TO BE "AFRAID" OF THE ONES WHO CAN KILL THE BODY,SPIRIT,HEART,SOUL,AND THE MIND!!!!POETS ARE MADE POETS BY "THE ONE" WHO IS DIVINE"! MOTHER NATURE,AND FATHER TIME IS A FRIEND OF MINE,AND THAT IS REALLY SUBLIME. WHERE WOULD MOTHER NATURE BE WITHOUT FATHER TIME? WORD TO THE WISE POETRY STILL SURVIVES,AND SAVES LIVES IN A WORLD THAT NEEDS LOVE! POETS HAVE A DUTY TO FULFILL AND THEY MUST DO IT BECAUSE IT IS GOD'S WILL! LOVE APPROVES ALL SINS EXCEPT THE ONES AGAINST LOVE! WHEN WE ARE LOVING WE ARE NOT AT ALL ANGRY.WHEN WE ARE ANGRY WE ARE NOT AT ALL LOVING! LET US LOVE,BECAUSE LOVE IS "THE FULFILLING" OF "THE LAW"!!!

a secret rendezvous in the woodlands

trees dripping with soft morning dew

moss giving rise to our mounting desire

oaks seeding life and naked adventure

pining for cones of passion and pleasure

nature knows best how to release sorrow

in bed with soft undergrowth and canopies

base instincts foundations of new growth

an ocean of love passion and kindness

drift wood for shelter pebbles and shells

summer storms surfing a shoreline retreat

beach hut full of memories and reflections

tanned skin beach towels and seaweed

fog horns a lighthouse guidance and sun

flooding remembrance high tides of joy

nude commemoration of the cycle of life

mountains ridge in tune with our raw union

waterfalls cascades rapids wild water rides

meandering streams join a delta of delight

a kestrel approves and showers ovations

hollowed in granite resolve a cavern invites

to get in touch with karma and circular path

of an earth spinning tell tale meaning of life

a short spell of warmth after a timely solstice

while logs on winter fires gather in our souls

marshmallows melt on their own suspense

lavender scent mixes with cinnamon fragrance

mingles in anticipation of mid afternoon glow

as the days become shorter our longing remains

joins our blessed hips mindful of marital promise

the pure knowledge of winter heightens the moment

for when we get old our youth still holds us together

You asked us not to cry when you have passed on
But we do not need handkerchiefs we need storm water drains
May the flash floods of tears irrigate your memory and wishes

To dance on your grave and be happy was your final request
When the funeral director has gone home to his family
We will respect your rebellion and turn over the soil

‘I expect you to wear happy clothes tie dye home-made batik
Hippie gowns and torn jeans covered in ink with messages
Not for the dead but for the living who gather in full colours’

As we write our final farewells onto the cardboard box
You designed for your coffin with crayons finger paint and
The mud of the earth you smile contagiously from inside

‘One flower only per person but you must bring worms
A few butterflies a handful of moths and a couple of rodents
Crack open the container that holds my remains for I must breathe’

It is midnight and a full moon invites kind witches and spells
Of Karma on broom sticks and a bonfire of faithful disbelief
Fireworks are in order because Tom likes to go out with a bang

We sing Hallelujahs ‘Bat out of Hell’ and ‘Stairway to Heaven’
‘Born to be Wild’ ‘Wish you were Here’ ‘Bridge over troubled waters’
Remember that voices aren't mute when they’re encouraged to speak

Sandalwood incense mixes with smell of roasted chestnuts and
Fig jam to honour the Buddha and pink lemonade for chakras
To caress emotional reason as we hand over your torch

‘Adults must play with Lego please’ you decreed ‘Life is a building’
‘Find me a unicorn and fix stick on tattoos of impermanent shine’
‘Adorn you skin with jester’s wisdom and henna or heart blood’

Now that we bid good fortune to the future we will light paper lanterns
Watch the wax melt slowly and the sun to rise for your final departure
We know that you will turn to compost but will watch over our lives

Word Painting In Black and White

Cubed ice dismantling the plank bridge with pliers
made of syrup spilled with a dash of grief and brawn
the reptilian doughboy mixes up another cosmic batch
of truth cookies designed to mislead with wishes of
the big power grab all manifesting inside the largest
television set ever devised with a flat screen as big as
a flying saucer that has at last come down to earth
so large and compelling my eyes were sucked out of
my sockets for five seconds of blind purgatory something
I thought of as an impossibility what with the moon landings
in the last century and all the heart transplants with
a dozen doctors dedicating a day of grueling hours with
silver forceps and scalpels designed to cut and close
as with all relationships between a tight skirt and a mustache
on the floor by a black vent kissing with fingers touching and
moans muffled by the hand of fear there on the green carpet
in a mad darkness by the black vent and the trees with lemons
invading from days and decades earlier when young women
found the tile smooth and electric with sharp tingling sensations
on naked nubile skin rubbed down with cold creams made of fish
ransacking a thousand anchored ships with knives made of pearl by
old pipe-smoking hippies who make love all day with sprawling girls
looking for hot thrills inside gardens made of stone and bootleg love.

A Beggar For a Piece of Bread

Each Experience is locked
                                       within my heart and only
I hold the key of sadness
of a human being in town
                                           insight questions me

A beggar for a piece of bread
                                       cries with extreme hunger
                                         fainthearted, deserted
                                   belongs to present generation
with my eyes I do see

Takes the wastes all we throw
                                    eats on foot path,faded smile
along with street dogs and crows
                                           lives life like a beast
                                         My marketing goes on

                                    Sleeps under a leafless tree
                                           in railway plat form
near drain or under Over bridge
or under the sky for cold air
On costly silky bed I do rest

                                      Clothes are torn and untidy
a gaunt face is filled with sorrow
                                          sees with loopy eyes
                                     drinks water with dirty mug
                                     I like branded mineral water

                                           Tears mixes with rain
                                        no medicine for any pain
                                           vehicles are only legs
                                     a picture I enjoy senselessly
I am happy with modern civilization

Kingdom of Night

As the waves of heat
dissipate to mist
as the cauldron of tar
stops its boil to stick

humidity’s weight
lifts from all lungs
with a breath of breeze
my spirit kingdom comes

the dew of leaves
mixes with sweat
as it cools my skin
this I wont regret

as I lay on the ground
and stare at the sky,
wishing on stars
as they cruised on by

I touched a finger
to the southern cross
and close my eyes
as I connect the dots

That symbol of stars
that brands my night
is a humbling thing
to behold its bright

All burdens that bare
their heart in this awe
are safe in the darkness
and from hands with claws

Slipping to rest
in the fresh of twilight
I wake to a glory
the full moon of sight
