An Early Spring
Spring is my favorite time of the year! After suffering Winter's doldrums, I relish the slightest sign of an early spring. The honking babble of the wild geese returning or the dripping drops of icicles melting, fill me with hope and promise, and I can't hide my smile. I love the earthy breath of spring carried aloft upon each scented breeze, and the tactile feel of a warm, sensuous sun caressing my face. Green forms the canvas for Nature's brush while She mixes Her pallet of colors, and paints the face of spring. Yellow daffodils, purple trillium, and pink cherry blossoms come into bloom seemingly simultaneously, and color explodes on the scene. Robins and chickadees start building nests, and life feels refreshed and renewed ready for a summer sun's sensational rays.
