The Garden of Peace
lately, I have been thinking of the many religions and how each one offers the best salvation is dependent on the circumstances of the time frame
When the protestant God based much of their faith upon
the teaching of Jesus and his masculine stance against
the Romans and the boot-licking priests who cared
more about their safe seat than the truth which as we know has a tendency to fluctuate in favor of the mighty
The Catholicism are not so fixated on Jesus, they are
more into the Virgin Mary and how she suffered for her sons, yes she had two sons and a daughter we hear little
of them, like we know nothing about the famous of our days until we learn to our shock a star of song and acting has a son so vain someone tells him the time of the day, not that it matters as she is not a Christian.
Jehovah was formed because there was a dispute about the correct name of God, so severe was the argument some people left the flock and set up shop alone, their God the only real one to save them.
What the sects and the so-called official religions have
is the promise of a forever life not quite defined
heaven, the Christians think of the lamb and the tiger
as an ideal picture, while the Muslims speak of seven
virgins waiting for a slain warrior, what do I know
Heaven has a place for many little paradises to fit
each individual or sect.
This leaves the Jews who have the misfortune to believe what a resentful scribe wrote, that they are the master of the earth.
We see through history how they with the help of the local goys have come back to power only to be slapped down
And we in our time, bear witness to the fall of Israelite
again they shall walk the earth and dream the same old
dream of an Earthly Jewish Paradise
No one's there to wipe away the tears
I'm here for good for you
I'm always there - just call me...you'll remain in my heart for years
Just don't be blue...don't be blue
Please, baby baby - don't be blue
I'll find your other shoe
V.4:
I must confess
You hold a special place
Within my heart
Is where you should have been
All through the years
I must confess
Under tons of stress
Hiding this love
Like a thief in the night
I cried a river
In my heart, in my heart
Deliver…oh deliver
Me from temptation that’s been deceiving me from the start
Earning misfortune
Singing a sad, gracious tune
Running. Running. Running. Running in the sun . . .I have allowed
Myself to breathe in the air of mystery...far away from the cheerful crowd
Ch:
I’m nothing without you here…but I will have no fear
Living this lie…refusing my cries
Frozen inside and feeling kind of numb
I feel dumb…well, it’s a bummer…
Wiping away the pain
Wiping away the tears
I ran because of fear
But I must spill the secrets
(I am here
Here I wait)x3
I memorized your smile
I wait for it for a while
You sang me a lullaby with sugar and spice style
You and I should run the extra mile
You're stronger than you realize
You're not alone
You're not a failure
At least I've found your other shoe
Never forget me
Do forgive me
Or I’ll be a valueless memory
You’ll feel my pain…
You’ll be the one rotting…
I’m screaming:
“Water me! Water me!”
But you’ll refuse to see
That I’m starving for your courtesy
That I’m yearning to be satisfied …possibly
Nourish me…like a thirsty tree
Begging for a superb growth experience
Despite the expense…
I’m in between
The beginning and end…how can I make progress?
When I’m shrouded in infirmity
The happiness…has abandoned me for good–
What is there to do, God?
What is there to look forward to?
What is there to see, Lord?
What is there to achieve? Secure me with your great sword
I’m powerless…I’m insecure like an orphan
Ignored… I forlorn…thrown out like an inkless pen
You left me in your debris…or was it my fault
That I’m drowning…suffocating…
You’d do me a great favor and save me
For heaven’s sake…
My life’s at stake…
My life’s close to its demise…
My joyous life – I don’t recognize…
I’m in between
Sorrow and assurance…could this day get any worse–
To my misfortune, the day is still carrying on
But I won’t worry about it… I’ll just wait until my might
Shines on like the dawn
I’m actually making progress
Somewhat…but time is running out
But you left me in the cold…without any blankets
You’re cruel…you know what I’m talking about
I’m choking on grime…
There’s not enough time…
There’s not much time to spare…
Spare my life…
Don’t give them a piece of your rage…don’t you dare
Blame them for the strife
That drags you down to hell –
Is that where your heart dwells?
I’m in between
Life and death…
Will this second be my last breath?
Will this day give birth to my future triumph?
What do you mean I’m in the brink of success?
Does this poem make any sense?
What’ll be the expense?
I’m in between
I’m left on the shelves…
Untouched…unseen…
You’re so mean…
Don’t you dare
Leave me with your debt
I’m in between
Love and hate
You left me in the margins…
Why am I placed in this hectic state?
Which feeling am I the closest to?
You’ll just have to figure it out yourself…
I wish you knew…I wish you knew…
How much I loved you…
Now, I’ve changed my mind about you…
I’m through with you…
You made me soak in your rue
Your rue…your guilt…your remorse…
Sticks to me like glue
I’m through with you…
I’m sick of feeling blue : ' /

Welcome to the "Wheel of Misfortune"
With your host, “Dirty Clothes” Pat
And dear sweet “Hole In Her Gowns” Vanna
You could lose your fortune like that
Players contribute ten grand of their own
The one with the most money loses
Ain't easy giving all incorrect answers
Ya feel like a bunch of silly gooses
First contestant is the one that goes last
Are you following, it can be a bit confusing
Audience get baffled, some leave in a huff
A few were even caught snoozing
Where's all this leading, I haven't a clue
Really feels like I've lost my control
Maybe I'll just gracefully fade to black
And crawl back in my wee cubbyhole

The almighty were told, creator of heaven and earth
Where is he, in time's of Armageddon and self worth
Now were asking where you are in our hour of need
Yeah the grand oral disminar, do you ever take heed?
When times are grey people, are still praying to you
Asking for a better day, there saying what can you do?
People still seem to rely on prayer as it's a last hope
I ask is anyone really out there?, when we can't cope
Following a righteous path?, I know wrong from right
Being religious is it daft?, for some Id say a guiding light
If a misfortune ,making a sign of the cross, is it the same?
When people are at a loss they use the lords name in vain
If on your death bed you do lay and this is your future bleak!
Dose one pray, when an atheist just turns the other cheek
When one's had enough, they ask where you are, G.O.D
While looking above, the grand oral diseminar, thy almighty
Probably not my best effort but few lines I had going on in my head
for a while just lously put togeather ,something I've always questiond though
do we really need religion in the world? maybe without it would be a better place
it seems a watse of life, lifes already hard enough but I supoe like I heard in a song the
world spins on its axes, one ones troubles why a nother relaxes
I have miexed views because I hve almost lost my life on four or five ocassions
a couple of them were self inflicked and I was told thats a sin but then
surley being made to suffer is a sin those who preach just tell ypu
what someone else has told them and so on and so fourth or though
when I grew up maybe thos people were unsure of there belives which
leaves me to uestion its like Im constantly loking for absolusion

. A decision, a choice, a journey into the unknown.
Loss of rationale, uncertain, hope becomes wind blown.
A gamble, a threat, a tear or a reason to rejoice.
A journey into the unknown, a decision, a choice.
Enter the desperate, and the brave, those without a care.
Consequence a mystery, its onward for mortals who dare.
Hidden behind the door, the unwanted or what we crave.
Those without a care enter the desperate and the brave.
Too risky to take a chance, so wait for a door that's open wide.
Perceptions of what lies within, the uncertain door does hide.
Its easier to sit it out than make the effort to dance.
So wait for a door that's open wide, too risky to take a chance.
Opportunities gone by, and the outcome will never be realized.
Was misfortune hidden beyond that door, to be despised,
Or riches beyond the wildest of dreams to make hopes high?
And the outcome will never be known, opportunities gone by.
Life is what you make it, and there is nothing totally certain.
The answer is not to hide behind a safety net, throw back that curtain.
You wont score a goal, if you dont take a shot, step up and take it.
And there is nothing totally certain, life is what you make it.
brings world word ii gunnery duty
as extremely frightful flashback
which utterly displeases this elderly mortal
and such behavior moi aback!
Born in this same house
on Leona avenue, this oldster doth dwell
which neighborhood once felt like heaven,
but now seems like hell
pet peeves arise with ever more frequency
from increased unpleasant encroachments
along this very narrow street
some young hoodlum
left trash scattered on property
that blew everywhere pell mell
but also parks a slew of cars up and down
both sides of this narrow thoroughfare
blithely co-opting an unused driveway
by an elderly lady who lives alone
oh, or a male friend of his
who guns the engine of a rosey roadster
at the crack of dawn
and when confronted blurted out
“i gotta do what i gotta do”
these complaints, i feel a need
(albeit anonymously)
this doddering soldier
of misfortune doth wish to tell
hoping the police can crack down
e’en if they need (billy me) to be idle
voicing rebellious yell!
address and name withheld on request
on account to avoid getting
preyed upon via ruffian's quest
so…please do not misperceive me a pest
but feel grateful (before
being dead) to clear me chest
only a concerned citizen kane at best
and a harmless curmudgeon i attest!
Blasphemy…cloud over their hearts of gold
Their value gradually diminishes…their weapons turn to mold
Serenity…deserted them and neglected them like orphans
Their joy rapidly wears out…they mislaid their abundant portions
They yearn,
“RESTORE the walls of Jericho!”
Anguish…shadows over their dwelling, sacred place
Their weaknesses manipulate them – they’re the definition of disgrace
Danger…defeats them and tarnished them as if they were worthless
Their prosperity shattered straightaway! REBUILD our merriness!
They plead and pray,
“Dona nobis pacem…”
Hear our hesitation and supplication…we’re beneath the bricks and remains
We’re buried alive literally! We’re becoming one with the ground
Fear and despair erases our soothing dreams…we’re getting washed away in the drains
We’re searching for shelter…we’re getting hunted down – we’re barely surviving
They churn…
They coil…
They drift away…
They spoil…
In their miseries…
Does He hear their pleas?
“SAVE ME!”
“Bestow blessings upon us!”
Are you ignoring us deliberately?
“Give us a helping hand
And lead us to the promise land!”
Misfortune unravels in this city of bafflement
Their strengths repaired our souls…we’re the definition of bravery!
Desolation and disbelief demolishes the walls of Jericho…
Does anyone sense their resentment?
Their charity transformed to greed suddenly –
Their lack of optimism and gratitude
Buried them down in captivity
How can you bear their poverty?
How can He save them from destruction and pity?
They whisper on His Holy Hill,
“Dona…Nobis…Pacem…”
Don’t let the battle overthrow ’em!
Immortal Belovéd, if in despair
we grow listless with Love's unmet desire,
and high emotion oft' marks our affair,
we fail to love; and begin to expire.
'Ere long, lest our unexpressed Love's well fed
(often), it'll thus take another lover;
for man loves woman, and woman loves man:
but Love discards them both when it's over.
But, with hope, Love can over-run fore'er
(for us), remain, and survive misfortune;
to quit now would be our only error:
therefore, let us thus make our bond immune?
If Love can o'erflow and be ne'er-ending,
Beloved, then we, too, are worth defending.
They married in their own garden under the canopy of a Wild Date Tree
An indigenous plant standing tall for sweetness and benevolent spirits
This one untamed and miraculously withstanding droughts in the City of Gold
It gave meaning to their union which had begun with similar unbroken desire
A small bonfire at midday crackled with pure passion and unified souls
It was warm in their hearts and droplets of faith embraced the heat
Shadows of yesteryear’s clouds had retreated from sorrow and sadness
Not long ago the two lovers had eloped into sunshine and started again
A small party of family and friends sat on the grass casually dressed
The bride in an attire from Camden market wore a rose petal crown
That matched the floral display on his colourful shirt which was in date
With Hippie dreams and nostalgic reverberation of rebellion and Peace
Her Anglican priest had refused to wed them ‘I need to ask my bishop
Who would have to absolve you from the sin of divorce and new love’
They found a Lutheran pastor who arrived dressed in African garb
Aptly with crash helmet and Harley Davidson with a roar to his engine
The lovers had decided against fireworks because they would resemble
Gunshots rather endemic in Johannesburg for all the wrong reasons
Sparklers would do nicely and sky lanterns floated into heaven above
Reached high rising feelings released bright unequivocal compassion
‘We honour our ancestors with all their beauty and divine guidance’
They proposed followed by clapping of hands and a rain dance’s vows
The sun sent its rays to bless everyone in the congregation of well-wishers
When it started to rain at the same time they danced naked in the spray
When such water and solar power combines at such a meaningful time and
Forms a rainbow presiding over the ceremony it’s called monkey’s wedding
And its display brings grace and good luck to withstand vagaries and misfortune
With a ring he gave her a wild date as the fruit never failed to deliver its promise
