Premium Member Silence - advice from a teacher

Make noise, be loud, bold, let your voice be heard; don’t be a wallflower, we have
enough of those already, the world needs leaders; you are soft spoken, don’t let dismissal by
others of your quiet tone discourage you; yell if you have to, if it’s what it takes for your voice to
be heard by others; you have things to say, so say them; But what if I’m uncertain of what to say;
speak with an open mind, listen to others, their words are just as important; look for your future,
find it, start to live it; I’m a bit young to be thinking so far ahead, aren’t I, the future isn’t your
adulthood, it’s what you make of yourself, now, in the future, and a revival of your past; find
people you can rely on, and who can rely on you; be sure of yourself, don’t let others tell you
you’re wrong without giving you the chance to speak; you have many things to say, so say them,
do not be afraid, But I am afraid, and so what? say it anyways; women, specifically Asian
women, are far too often dismissed without a chance of voice, of heart, especially of mind; do
not let them make this of you too, do not become another single narrative for them to write in
their cis, het, white, rich, male, history textbooks; make some noise; make sure that if any page
in that history book pertains to you, it will not be about your silence; I won’t.

Premium Member HOW POLITICS IS WON

Road trip journey
Being honest and straight forward
We The People courtesy
Listening and learning how communities feel about Politics
Connecting the me into them
Beyond bullying of Political Parties
Agendas on target and not maybe
Show how you will get the country through the economy
Not bowing down to any President nor Political Party
Keeping skeletons out of the closet that shouldn’t be there
It’s not permission, but commitment
Strategy is the game
Winning confidence from the voters in election aim
Don’t make promises you can’t keep
Fulfillment on course
Standing firm as a Politician
Stable to represent
These words, “Fulfill, Fulfill and Fulfill”
Remember, Voters can vote in and out
Be Political work wise
America watch
A Politician gain.

Shut up, and grow up if you're a racist
I'll kick you with my Aasics
Then leave you inside the matrix
Because I'm so tired of seeing it on a daily basis
Especially after what happened to so many innocent natives
That were just trying to live and be creative
In a place that was more than spacious
Far too many were ungracious
Because they only cared about being famous

Within this vast space
The Earth spins at such a fast pace
But have faith
Even if you always wind up in last place
Being able to adapt makes
Better paths to take, or so the facts state
Even though some just care about their cash safe
And staying half baked
That's great
Because it makes them look even more like fat snakes
Like so many others from past dates
As the rest moving across the grass race
Over and beyond every one of the brass gates

Because of Columbus
I look at most of these holidays with reluctance
Since he murdered hundreds of thousands without justice
I will never celebrate the actions of someone cold blooded
He can eat a bullet from this musket
Before I make him really kick the bucket
I'd throw him from the top of the highest summit
And laugh while he was beginning to plummet

I love you, I love you not
Just let me take all you got
 Just a money bot
Everyone is out to take
Bad decisions are easy to make
Choose your words wise
Love in disguise
Make a call
Take a fall
No one is real
What's the deal
Just send me this money card
I'll hit your wallet hard
Special deal
I'm not even real
Taking you for a ride
Hurt your pride
Everyone trying
Don't care if your crying
Dying
Wanting all you got and a little more
Invite you in just to kick you out that door
I'm pretty
So witty
What's your income
Send me some
Take your money
But leaves you with no honey
Not so funny
No one is what they are
Who just stole my car
Now that's going to leave a scar.

Weavers

Shakespeare’s Bottom is a weaver,
     Spider is a weaver,
      Weaver bird is a weaver
Nature and God are interwoven for ever.

  Threads are woven into sarees
Wool is knitted as sweaters,
Bamboo is braided as baskets,
Marvels of creators.

Each strand gets life by a weaver,
Ornate twine blooms from beaver,
Artefacts add more colour in the life,
Outfits get glove fit in the life.

Weavers are bearers; weavers are savers;
Weavers are like busy bees
Hands and fingers toil to give us honey.

God is a weaver with a string
Puppets sing/dance and plait
As the weavers hand do might
Move off, if the string do stop
God can make us hop, drop and stop.

Ode To Momma

She sells items of meager income,
such as;
Soap-flakes, peanuts,
soft drinks, bakeries.

Not to make profit
but at least rich enough
To feed the family of gold.

my mummy’s little outlet,
 is the bachelor’s pride.
The young men,
stride in and out
at will to the little corner,
to make themselves
 fit for the kitchen,
 borrow for the belly,
save for the day,
and pay for the morrow.

Its chokes to notice
You re gone
Red is still the
Colours of the blood
In our heart eyes
Though skin varies
Love you Momma.
The blackness
Of your skin
Is it strength

2ND PLACE WIN
I Can't Breathe

The Path I'll Take

Crashing of the thunder shakes my every city
Roads and pavement cracks receive no pity

Twists and turns in every direction
Flaws and shame revealed in every confession

I'm never sure
Who’s at my core
But that’s the path
I’m going to have to take

Flow’rs dying in a cold, cold winter
Bears retreat to caves and enter

Trees are cying tears frozen forever
Birds are flying to migrate from the weather

I’m never sure
Can I go on anymore?
But that’s a yes
I’m going to have to make

And that’s a death
I’m going to have to evade
That’s a breath
I’m going to have to take

Crash of thunder shake my every committee
Cleanse my soul, drench my every city

Flood all the roads
I’m going to go
On the path
I’m going to have to take

Ode To My First Love

I don't regret anything that's happened between us
every moment we shared with
laughter, sadness and frustration
Oh how every moment was spent so lovely
I'll have these memories to cherish forever
As they will always be carried with me
I wasn't innocent to believe that this was a forever thing
I was probably the most stubborn person you've met
but you'd shut me up and shower me with kisses reminding me that the end never mattered
Your love taught me a lot
You introduced me to new music, new foods and different perspectives
I'll never forget how you liked your food separated on your plate
because the idea of your food touching drove you insane
you didn't have any OCD problem you were just weird like that
I'll never forget your huge obsession with Pokémon
You drove me so insane with that and I still couldn't quite grasp how to play
Our first date how we conversed for what felt like hours in that pizzeria downtown
That place will always leave a nostalgic feeling
I know I'll have plenty of lovers but you'll always be my first love
My first real heartbreak
You showed me one single person can make you feel
Red, blue, purple and all the other colors at once
I just want to say thank you for the wonderful experience
For it was all worth it

Premium Member Meltdown At the North Pole

Due to extreme conditions beyond Santa Claus' control,
'Tis rumored that he might have to vacate his home at the Pole!

Seems that climate warming is the culprit causing the Pole to thaw,
Which could result in Santa's operation from thence to withdraw!

Mrs. Claus would welcome this news should it happen to occur,
Since she's suffered isolation and cold more than she ought to endure!

Where he might relocate has been a matter of some speculation.
Could the South Pole be his new address to continue his vocation?

This dire situation is causing much hand wringing and ways to contrive,
To rescue the North Pole and keep the Santa Claus tradition alive!

Of course the UN, Congress and Al Gore will butt in to have their say,
As to where old Santa should locate his workshops and reliable sleigh!

Never mind that these people can never reach a consensus at all!
Perhaps a panel of kids is more qualified to make this far-reaching call!

Sewage Breath, from THE WOMAN WHO COULD EAT WOOD

Sewage Breath

He doesn’t see his family and is barred from all jobs
that have strict high personal hygiene rules.
It was his fault. His shocking sewage breath makes people vomit pools.

That, of course, made him intensely
angry and too sad.
Every day he felt for having sewage breath, for making people sick, extremely bad.

There was nothing he could do.
Brushing his teeth with toothpaste ten times a day
never once got rid of
that worst smell ever that kept every one at bay.

Before vomiting the doctor said, ‘Um, the cause
you were born with it. Because ...
Kidney disease isn’t the cause.
Diabetes or something else isn’t the cause.
There’s no explanation for the cause.’

So as to make amends the police had to
hire Sewage Breath to work in the coast mountain sewers, and ten times he said, ‘Thank You.’
His job was to
breath on the drug dealers so they’d spew.

Thousands of drugs were seized.
Thousands of lives were saved. Yahoo!
Sewage Breath felt calm and happy.
He felt so so so good for first time. Yahoo!

Though the public
and his family were so so so proud of him
they decided that because his
sewage breath was never going to go from him,
it’d be better he live in the sewers,
better for them and him.
