Am I allowed to whisper into your hair?
May I comb your love, drink from your well;
Be it with my feet may I walk cleanse your toes;
Shall we dance, May we talk;

Given just a chance;
Happiness embraces us;
Such a love, ever beautiful;
Heaven knows,

The world places us in a slot
We’re luke-warm, never extreme cold nor hot;
Shall we dance, May we talk;
Covenant new romance;

Given just a chance;
Shall we dance, May we talk;

Blessed beautiful the voices;
Chosen are the choices;
Covenant renewed, chosen---

The Man From Darwen

The Man from Darwen

Came there a man from Darwen,
In the heart of the Lancashire Hills,
A Town of industrial landscape,
Coal Mines and large Cotton Mills.
These times of hardship and struggle,
Left its scars upon the folk,
Working class agents of Victoria,
Amidst black chimney stack smoke.

Luke dear Luke, please tell me,
Of your life and how you’ve been.
Speak to me beyond the Gravestone,
Narrator paint the scene.

Born and raised impoverished,
Education for you not required.
Straight down the Pit at fourteen,
There till your lungs expired.
If it wasn’t the work that got you,
Beware of Smallpox epidemic,
Thirty-two years was no life at all,
Short lives, Victorian age systemic.

Luke dear Luke, please tell me,
Of your life and how you’ve been.
Speak to me beyond the Gravestone,
Narrator paint the scene.

Processional Cobbled Street terrace,
Mill Lords housing their forces.
Fourteen people in a two-bed house,
Sparse luxury, but Workhouse far worse.
Lancashire was built on Cotton
and its Heritage stands the test of time.
My ancestors were gritty and grafter,
Working through hardship and grime.

Luke dear Luke, please tell me,
Of your life and how you’ve been.
Speak to me beyond the Gravestone,
Narrator paint the scene.

He was gone for all of that time
No one knew what his life was like
He could have been a thief or murderer
Only God knows all that he’s done
Why would Daddy let him come back home?

He destroyed everyone’s trust
He left here with half of Daddy’s belongings
Where did he live while gone?
No doubt he was with drunkards and harlots
People who live in the darkest thoughts
With only doubt, fear and despair
He was living with the dreaded devils
His life was shadowed by his failures

He shouldn’t have had the nerve to come back
Home, for him, should be off limits
He shouldn’t be allowed to live here anymore

But Daddy killed the fatted calf for him
Gave him the best robe and his ring
Embraced him with a joy that only knows
He is the beloved son, his heart and soul
Why hasn’t he ever killed a calf for me, though?

I asked Daddy why he was going to all this trouble
For a son who had only used and abused him
Given him nothing but worry and strife
Filled his mind with only regret, pain and trials
I asked him why, but Daddy only said…

**“Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.”

So Daddy killed the fatted calf for my brother
My resentful, bitter heart was spurned
But I know my Daddy is filled with pure love
And He loves the prodigal with a spirit
That can only be described as merciful…
Compassionate and tolerant…
Much like the forgiveness that God sends
To the one who repents and believes
His grace is like a light shining through
The soul who knows His love is the treasure
That every prodigal seeks to accept

And, I, the son who was righteous yet resentful
Need his forgiveness just as much
As the roguish prodigal…

All I need to do is ask, and God’s forgiveness
Will reach down and absolve me of my wrongs
I will ask and receive… because, like my Daddy..
God is always GOOD!

**Luke 15: 31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. 32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Jps

We've all used them before so we don't ever get lost
Direction one can't ignore or we pay a very high cost
As the GPS leads our way taking us as we didn't know
Never wanting to be lost any day in the places we go

So small in comparison to what the JPS can actually do
All of His competitors are none for only His Word is true
No, it is not something contained but rather it contains
As by sin we have been stained, He removes all stains

It won't keep you from getting lost but will warn instead
Now think in this life of the cost if you are as such misled
Perhaps you should think longer on such a vital subject
For no one becomes stronger through the use of neglect

To start this spiritual device simply call to Jesus by Name
He paid your price as on that Cross He took your blame
And now being a great time to act as so many found out
Each one of us, we lack, but Jesus! Jesus won that bout!

Luke 15:24
For this my son was dead, and is alive again;
he was lost, and is found.
And they began to be merry.

Dead is to lost, as alive is to found.

What kind of people are in the Household of Faith? More specifically, in your Household of Faith,
who's there? Let's say we just limit this inquiry to the Sanctuary's
social status. Are they poor, middle class, rich, business owners and/or home owners? Is there any unemployed, any hungry, and any homeless among us? Do we assume that there is no one in our pews hungry and homeless? Please, don't stone me for asking questions.

Moreover, we cannot assume that because we are Christians, we show mercy. Remember, in Jesus' parable of The Good Samaritan, only one out of three even cared enough to do anything by showing mercy. The other two who showed no mercy, a priest and a Levite, were supposedly among the best that their society had to offer.

At the end of the conversation with the lawyer, The Amplified Bible says, Then Jesus said to him, "Go and constantly do the same." Are we constantly showing mercy or merely occasionally exercising a kind deed to members of our community?

Let's not be too quick with our answers. One last question. Again, please don't stone me! Remember that in The Good Samaritan Story, the question was asked because the man wanted to vindicate or justify himself. What is our motive if and when we consider showing mercy? It must never be about us and how it vindicates and makes us feel. May all our acts of kindness and good deeds always be about true mercy and love.

All the Music Murdered

All the music murdered
as the Empire falls
the colour pink from
the fading blushing cheeks
of broken angels
breath sucked away
school bells toll death
dark creatures Dementors
pistol legions burning parades
constant and strong
now fly in weekly
through open doors

Le Diablo pats the ombré backs
of quacking leaders
their passive bills carrying bullets
too late the redeemable exchange
as the world is painted black
days of darkness
forget the colour grey
hearts cut on silent shores
watch the horror unfolding
shocked for words
terrified sorrow turns appalled
the nightmare never goes away

All the music murdered
as the Empire falls
suffer the little children

its beautiful ones
harmonies all slaughtered
innocent symphonies

silenced in scores

Luke 18:15-17
Matthew 18:10-14

Our Excuses Will Condemn Us One Day

I hung out on six avenue and they teased me all the time.
Saying you're afraid of you mom, but I was more afraid of crime.
I found myself sometimes, doing things to just get along.
That's what we do, blame others, when it's us that's doing wrong.
I see young men on street corners, hustling to make a bill.
Putting the blame on society, because they rob and kill.
My mother went pass the six grade, her mother and father died.
Returned, finished school, three times she retired.
She lived during times opportunities for blacks were low.
With prayer, effort, with no excuses, there's nowhere you can't go.
She was the first black employee at the Pensacola Navy Exchange.
One or two gave her a hard time, but she never complained.
She took on Conoco, now Harvard law mentions her name.
She's now gone, her memory goes on, Google is her claim to fame.
Raising 3 boys & a girl. she said, I will not be your friend.
In the military we went and God gave her back 3 men.
On TV, young men doing time, momma's excusing their crimes.
Blaming the schools, the police and or anybody else.
Putting it on anyone or anything other than themselves.
We're to train a them in right way, not beat them near death.
Or break their spirit in a store, yelling at the top of our breath.
Strutting the isle in Sunday best, claiming how you are blessed.
Who's preaching to you? That's not bible, that's a mess!
You need to repent, read Revelation 20:12
Angels are recording you and before God you'll have to tell.
I raised two children all on my own, and I didn't do everything right.
Yet I'm amazed, how children are treated & parents sleep at night.
God gave us a conscience that tells us when we're wrong.
You ignore it too many times and soon it will leave you alone.
You can't turn the clock, back in time, but right now you can repent.
But the moment you die You'll account for every event.
God's watching our actions, every moment of the day.
In Luke 12:20 he said "You fool, I want your soul today!"

Premium Member Father If You Are Willing -Luke 22: 42

Jesus was used to being on His knees
for He took time to meet His father alone
despite being the son of God He needed prayer
to be with God since before eternity, He'd known

This occasion was to be unique indeed
His father had given Him a vital task
since the fall of man God always had this plan
to bring salvation to those He drew to ask

Here Jesus was faced with an awesome job
to take the cup of God's wrath no less
pleading with God for another pathway
but deep down knew it wouldn't be yes

So here Jesus was submitted to God's will
no matter the cost and pain He'd to bear
praying that He would remain submitted
dying for our sins defeating Satan's snare

Praise this Jesus for His perfect sacrifice
without it, we'd all be bound for hell
He our substitute for sins not His own
for His glory, we must go out and tell

('And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”)
