The Mermaid's Rescue

A lost and lone survivor of a sunken warship
back into conciousness the sailor finally did slip
All alone in the vast, vast empty water prairie
fleeting thoughts of home and his sweet Marie!

Hazy, crazy thoughts swirled in his aching head
had he not drowned , O' why was he not dead
Memories of being saved by an unseen guiding force
O' but what a song , what a beautiful angelic voice!

Visions soon appeared for his mind's eye to see
of a beautiful creature rising to his rescue pleas
Hair of radiant gold lying lovingly upon breasts bare
a swimming angel appeared ever so swiftly there!

Now waking upon this small and desolate rock
feverish and deep in the throes of a tragic shock
Suddenly hearing voice began to softly, sweetly sing
his spirit , soul healed so quickly that voice did bring!

Searching eagerly across the shining ocean's waves
for a mysterious hero that did desperate lives save
A wished for vision soon appeared at the water's edge
a mere dozen feet from the jutting rock's lower ledge!

The same beautiful face he saw in his vision's haze
the magical creature he now knew his life had saved
One even prettier than his cherished, loving wife Marie
now it's entire form he could astonishingly see!

A Mermaid ! Heavens how could such vision truly be
strange tales, fictional legends of very magical seas
Could this have been answer to his desperate pleas
a vision so tempting that his faithful heart it did tease!

Singing stopped and that voice began to clearly speak
telling he had been fast asleep for an entire week
A rescue ship would be arriving there that very day
as it appears I must say goodbye and swim away!

Final hours his Mermaid and he did pleasantly share
he in awe of her glory, her sexy body and golden hair
So many amazing stories of many a daring rescue feat
telling of rescues where sister Mermaids even compete!

Suddenly that promised ship raced coming in so fast
sailor knew this was his only chance, his very last
Please, he asked, will you give me a good-bye Mermaid kiss
wished granted , Mermaid vanished into the deep, blue abyss!

Rescued and now safely aboard his miracle life-saving ship
his story told and nary a miraculous part did he dare to skip
His tale he told to all that sat amazed at his strange ordeal
so mythical and strange, even he wondered was it truly real!

Premium Member A Poem For Christmas Night

Greeted by the multi-lit display
draped over the hedges
and the railing of our front porch,
the brilliant lit Christmas tree
winks at us, welcoming us home
from the Christmas Eve Mass.

You settle comfortably in your chair
as I walk into the dining room.
Sitting down, I light the lone candle
on the table and contemplate
its flame, dancing and whirling
in the darkened room.

The flame draws me
into its story.
Its bright yellow light
thinly framed in blue,
speaks to me about
many dark places
penetrated by its light:
caverns and street corners,
vast fields and mighty forests,
tall buildings and small homes,
and the darkest place of all
… the human heart.

The flame tells the story
of a long time ago,
of a world enveloped
in the darkest of nights.
Violence and cruelty,
poverty and pestilence
heaped upon a brutalized,
battered and lost humanity.

In a miserable stable,
its walls and floor painted
in manure and straw,
the dark dank smell of
wet hay, and its livestock denizens
filling the air, there lies
in a feed trough a light more brilliant
than the dancing flame.

The flame of that light
dances in the eyes
of his homeless parents,
his mother who birthed him,
and his proud, protective father.
The light is reflected
in the eyes of the animals
shuffling about in their stalls,
and in the eyes of the shepherds
and the travelers from afar.

My gaze, fixed on the flame,
widens as I detect
other shadowy shapes
around the table.

I sit in communion with
my father and my mother,
my sister and my brother,
their lives, like others,
lived in various degrees
of perfection and imperfection,
drawn to this light whilst alive,
and now in the life beyond,
join with me transfixed
by the light of the candle.

I smile to be once again
in their company, and,
with a nod and a parting glance
their shapes slip back
into the shadows of the room.

Once more alone with the light,
an image forms in my mind,
that eternal light birthed
in Bethlehem so long ago,
which danced in the eyes
of Mary and Joseph,
in the eyes and hearts
of many burdened by the weight
of scandal and shame,
poverty and despair,
which the world was unable
to crush and snuff out,
this light will always be there
to guide and to light me
through the dark corners
of my life yet to be,
to the eternal Christmas awaiting me.

Lost Cities of Indus Vale

I hail thee ruins of Indus Vale!
With scented rhyme, with scented gale
Come on from world of mortal dead!
O come and lively wind inhale!
More ancient than the pyramids
That rule on ancient Egypt land

Thy wild wild eyes, with thy soft lids
They gazed on shimmering Indus sand
I will inhale thy breath in breath
O harken me from vale of death

                    (11)
I mount uphill, Thy citadel
And stood for hours Stony still
I saw minarets there in row
They fail and bow, all in thy woe
O stupa speak! from yonder peak!
Thy all worshippers where they go
In fog , in sun, while needles run
Thou standing lone in midst of woe!
I haven't seen a single soul
They faded all in mist and snow
Oh lonesome temple don't be sad
They will come and I vow they will

In evening smiles , my heart beguiles
Thy silver meads lay several miles
Thy rich forests of days of yore
Thy ancient seals and gods and kings

O life stop thou, O time come back
In courts I hear the bell that rings

Oh let me breathe, let me for while
Oh fortune for once for me smile
                (111)
O lower town, Why thou breakdown
Thy aging speed , may thou slow down
Thy tourists standing by thy sides
All talking of the Times and tides

Thy rooms and wards, o nature yard
All tied devotees thine with cord
They want to dwell in heart of thine
They come and stand and for thee pine
O may phantoms of bygone time
Tell stories them in tune and rhyme
With help and love of Eden Lord
Whose seraphs are thy meadows guard

              ( ...)
O whistling toys, of girls and boys
In graves of stone why heave thou sighs
O happy ruins with face so fair
From thousand centuries slept thou there
Forgotten by the madding race
Then thou begot a heart sincere
Who wake thee from thy beauty sleep?
From fathoms deep wherest thou live
Wherest thou sob and moan and weep!
I pay homage to Cunningham
Who found thee there in seven three
Then came thy lover Daya Ram
Who thee from heaps of mud set free
Thy lips of ice, why not rejoice
Thou gaze this world with wild wild eyes
              (...)
Thy fowls thy sheep, lie half asleep
In meadow green in forest deep
Thousands and thousands years passed by
My far off sky , he smiled he weep
When from thy beauteous Indus plains
The robbers carried thy remains
Thy ancient bricks, all gems of past

Into Slow Void, I Challenge Time

Cruelest thoughts overwhelm
beyond the patrol
beyond the drowning sunlight
firelight creeping up my back,
grab your camera and attack
a moment that doesn't hear
the glowing blue
I should have kept in a faerie jar

ajar is my mind,
hinges broken, hinges built
100 years ago, the repairman's dead
like the postcard I still cherish
oh it has arrived uninvited again, this pain
this favorite feeling flowers
when the spoken dagger
lathered
in poisonous affection
takes the habitual plunge
into pulsing core, and oh
she cannot feel the swirling madness fought
no, that is the worst of it all, she knows not of this
chest clutched, scream schooner, a whirlwind
through every room
each white convulsing
red cherries in time
after Euphrates dries
and Hyde's head screws back on.

I am fine. Everything smiles.

Oozing cryptically, cryptic cryptic don't let them know
that beyond a year ago,

Into slow void, I challenge Time,
I challenge
the non-existent;
I challenge
myself,
and discover...

Don't go back to the fireless rooms?
The fireless rooms
were never places.
The fireless rooms
were never avoidable.
Forlorn freedoms flung farthest
feasting from fear-falling
feint faithfully; fictitiously.

In a lone, innocent desire, the perfect jazz song is playing
it is her favorite song
her unavoidable song on every playlist
as a hallow briar floats by,
knows why
and where
and who I truly am,
knows the buried youth,
and the noxious adult of hap.

I am swinging again. He is swinging again.
That youth,
that whippersnapper.

That fool.

Going too fast. Too fast for his Truth to catch up.

Agony! Laugh at me!

Dig those heals in, heels into the ground, digging
into that old world
of a hosted carnival
that kept the best parts of our personalities. Kept the parts
everyone loved the most
at the top of that ferris wheel,
ecstasy eyes embracing the stars
that would later become supernovas inside
black fire death-in-life,
a death of slow pain would be lovely
masochist!
if only I could hold death as a moment,
death it and then command death
sic death upon evil
and witness true happiness
for the entire world.

Death...
and slow will be...
my descent once again...

Inebriation.
To Sleep. To Machination. Avoid the void...

A love for the forbidden fruit.

Sea of life turbulent where breakers roar.
Tough journey, yet to proceed not to stop.

Boat sways violent on trough and crest.
Life to wobble in thrill and in danger.

Gabriel

(A lone voice whispers)

I always used to wonder
Where do Robins go to sleep

Then one dark night
Within a deep all-consuming lucid dream

At approximately one o'clock

A beautiful deity appeared out of the mist

Wearing a blue and white coat

Holding a Lily and a shining lantern

Across its shoulder, a golden trumpet and a branch from Paradise

On its golden belt
Hung a scepter and a silver scroll

As it strolled towards me

Within my illustrious sleeping streams

A strange palace of darkness

Where no birds
Flew or squawked

Its mysterious ever watchful eyes

Held me firmly transfixed
Like an ethereal heavenly hawk

Its bright white orbs
Swallowed me whole

As it whispered words
I'll remember
Until I'm old

Within the light of day,
We appear

Your beloved and even I

To watch over and visit you

To see and follow all that you do

When we, the blessed few

Waiting in the new spectacular bright white lights

In the glorious cathedrals of Atmos, shadowy arches

Cross over
When allowed a brief time

Before we are eventually
Reunited in a new form

To rejoice in hymn
Within your All Highs
Divine Church

Depending upon
The faith of your choice

To visit those we still
Love

To leave a sign or sing
A sonnet

Happily with echoes of our new voice as we too mourn

Then in here
At darkness

In
The Great In-Between

A place you all visit
Whenever you fall asleep

In deep dreams,
We always appear

For real spiritual shapeshifters
Like us

Never really sleep

We just transform into Robins

Through a supernatural technique

For sometimes they are merely vessels
We use

Just one of our everlasting souls keeps

So if you see one
And it sings

Looking straight at you
Remember this

It's just a beloved loved one

Maybe even me
Archangel Gabriel

Channelling
Through

And with that beautiful closing line

It disappeared quietly
Back into the receding winds that whined

Of the Hidden Divine

And when I awoke at eight,
I'm sure it met me

Sat on my old garden's wooden gate

My beautiful friend
Who loves to sit on the washing line

Whispering and singing
Hello

Sending shivers and tingling

Shooting
As I remember that dream

All the way
Up and down

My sinuous
spine

Tales of the Lone Wanderer 2

Found the G.E.C.K and a genius super mutant named Fawkes
It's the lone wanderer, were their truly any doubts
On his way back, the enclave stun him cold
It's the lone wanderer, they must truly be bold
He wakes up to the face of the man that murdered his father and his dream
The lone wanders promises to severe the head from this fiend
They made a mistake and set him free
He lets off some steam and goes on a killing spree

Hoping to find the fiend, instead he finds a computer
It claimed to be president Eden, the leader of the future
The lone wanderer couldn't believe the stupidity
It gave him the F.E.V virus and claimed it was the best for humanity
The lone wanderer then remembers he found a self-destruct code
He told president Eden he was a whole
Laughing while he activates It's self-destruct mode

Running and gunning to his P.I.P boy radio
Listening to 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy' to fit the scenario
Turning Enclave soldiers into mashed potatoes
By the time he escaped the count down hit zero,
The lone wanderer stood in the background looking like a hero
Reunited with the genius super mutant Fawkes
They now have matching toys to take back to the house

Deciding to stick together for a noble cause,
They return to the Citadel after unloading a few hundred shots
The Brother Hood Of Steel commended them and gave them a round of applause
Time now to suit up and release a giant robot
'Now we take back the purifier!', Cried Sarah Lyons
'Take everything you can because only Enclave shall be dying'
The lone wanderer refuses their power armor and instead pulls out his Gatling gun
Him and Fawkes bump guns and are already for some fun
They rush through the gate behind the giant robot shooting a vertibird out of the sky
Running through the carnage seeing Talon mercs pass by

Barging through the front door of Jefferson's memorial
Spraying Enclave soldiers in a effortless tutorial
Beams from vengeance making clean incisions
Rapid is its fire with precise precision
Even if the lone wanderer had no vision
Fawkes and him could easily wipe out colonel Autumn's entire division
Now approaches colonel Autumn's final hour,
Without hesitation the lone wanderer draws his sword with power
Striking colonel Autumn dead and sour
Before his head rolls into the water,
The lone wanderer convinces Fawkes to play a little soccer

Unable to let go

Foundation of the piece.

Is life just a purging of the soul and to ascend to a higher plane of existence,

do you have to let go of everything and everybody you once loved or knew?

To do so?

Or would you wait to be called to join them if separated because you couldn't let go of your old life?

Title:

Unable to let go

(A lone raspy voice talks in the fog as it slithers in - to a hidden audience)

I crossed over
In March

On the fifth

In the year of our Lord
1902

And all these sad years
I've sat

Patiently waiting for her

I've watched
Our old beautiful world
Burn

Through the blackest of fire filled nights

Through two world wars

Witnessed hearts bleed
With incomprehensible need

Seen corruption and illusions unfold

Hand in hand
With greed

Out in the warm and cold

As the seduced welcomed evil into their strongholds

Watched shining stars fall
Sat thinking of my fate

As I wait
Pining asking myself

When will she call me to walk and join her through that silver gate

That I look to

Down this dark road
Every second

Whenever I think
Of her

For I've looked in
Old memories that once beckoned

Explored all the seconds and who knows
Linked to being found guilty of sin

Chased paper boats
With endless time

Just hoping
She's coping
In Heaven

And not broken in two
Like me
In this Deep Divine

But still
Perched

Upon this rock
Chained like Prometheus

I
Wait

Even though the Mendli
You lot listening

Think I'm crazy
But my old Love
Still cuts me open

Making me cling to an old life

With wild dreams of a new beginning

So angels
Forgive me

But hear me
Quick

Take my hand
And lead me home
To her

Give me the Star Fire
If this can't happen

Or you can't do it

For I fear
I can no longer
Wait

For the opening of that gate

So let me cross the burning sand barriers

Step straight through the eternal fire

For is waiting for true love
The price

Worth all this pain

As one
Moves on
And one remains

Show me a happy couple
And I'll show you the fire that ignites

And it's that light
That I pray

Keeps carrying me
On horseback

To my beloved wife

Throughout
All these
Endless nights

As I fight Father Time
To return to that old life

Be You

Foundation.

With the considerable rise of AI software on all social media and business platforms, will humanity lose its creative edge?

Will you be tempted to do so?

Title:
Be You

(A lone voice whispers)

Be You
Forgo assimilation

And try to avoid being spellbound and tied into the new B System

Dream and aspire before you're retired

With all your soul's, inner resistance

Don't be bound to mundane hearts, no longer open to being plowed, with ravenous curious fingers

Hearts enslaved into a dark broken Labyrinth of unspoken, and untold things

Which could linger

From sad souls who've cried, as their creativity withered and died

Absorbed by the cleverly assimilated imagery and well created lies

To be one of the many lonely wanderers

Tumbling blind through inspirations now barren playgrounds

As the new, AI Hive Minds, long reach fires up to reteach

Newly breached, unconnected human firewalls

While wild valley blackbirds and starling flocks

Scream and call out in unison, at the lack of the rising poetry

Music or literature, filled with human energy

As spiritual temperatures worldwide, fall

Putting ingenuity into jeopardy

Screeching about the impending icy cold bath of human separation

As they fly as huge wailing flocks, into the Summer Equinox

With the frosty breath, of AI Death of the Soul

Lingering around like black mold

With bony fingers
Rattling without a sound

Awaiting its resurrection
As daylight recedes and people seem to lose hope

But on that Devil's Island for some of the Condemned

The one called Earth

The Exalted Ones
Maybe like you

Unassimilated and still free

Can lift up the trapped
Those poor souls caught up in The Hive Mind

Slowly been drained of personality and self identity

Lost in the humankind labyrinth of the unspoken and untold

Who needs releasing to help rebuild the new pillars of creativity upon Earth

With their eventual rebirth

This my friend with the bright eyes unseen

Has always been a worthy oath to follow

For you've always been free to share your gift of uplifting

Energetic, raw, and visual

Literature
Music or poetry

Maybe bestowed
From The Sacred Temples of Apollo

What's says you?

Are you going to strive to stay the real you?
