Premium Member WHAT WERE YOU MOST PROUD OF IN 2024

When did your heart and soul soar,
And bring you happiness galore,
When did you see your way ahead clear,
Was it amazing and awesome,
So encompassing and wholesome,
What delighted you most,
Was it your help at the charity store,
Which satisfied you to your core,
Or was it that old man
You helped cross the road,
Or the little boy you helped
Find and catch his big toad,
Or maybe it was that freezing night,
That you brought warmth and light,
To the poor under the bridge,
When you got a mighty hug from Midge.
Or perhaps it was that
Heartwarming day,
On the 1st May,
When you gave chocolate eggs,
To all the children in need,
Wearing rags,
With no shoes on their feet.
Do you remember that multiple accident,
On the highway,
Where a number of people did pay,
With their life,
There was many a child,
Some a husband, others a wife,
Died at this horrific scene,
And you wept, for what you could not do.
All were good folk, and came to me.
This, I want you to know,
That from today,
I have saved you
A place dear Anne,
For I am a big fan,
Of people like you,
Of which sadly exist, so few,
For you will help everyone,
And risk your all for anyone.

Premium Member White Carnations and Red Roses

Sweet fragrance of moist dew seeks to transpose
white carnations, baby's-breath,  red roses.
Heartwarming blooms called upon to compose
striking overture, fond bridal poses.

White carnations, baby's-breath, red roses,
their fervor takes the breath away with grace.
Striking overture, fond bridal poses,
romance of harmony at glance embrace.

Their fervor takes the breath away with grace,
with deep yearning invoked by nature's thieves,
romance of harmony at glance embrace.
Wisp air weaving like silk through trembling leaves.

With deep yearning invoked by nature's thieves,
heartwarming blooms called upon to compose.
Wisp air weaving like silk through trembling leaves
sweet fragrance of moist dew seeks to transpose.

Coming From the Heart

C-oming from the heart,
O-de of mine makes mirth;
R-hyme that truly brings
A-nother joy to your birth.
Z-one, place and domain
O-f heartwarming lines
N-ever cause you any pain, neither will they show bad signs.

S-tanza that comes from the heart
I-s created early at dawn;
L-etting you rise from slumber,
A-s the shadows are gone.
G-reetings that come from the heart,
A-re filled with rapture;
N-either will they carry chaos nor will they ruin your future.

C-oming from the heart,
R-egard gives a thrill;
I-t really lights up the way,
Z-enith just warms the chill.
A-llow my verse to remain
L-ikable right from the start;
D-o it for it always thinks
O-f coming from the heart.

Premium Member Red Roses

Sitting in a bower, admiring
the heartwarming   beauties dance
Red rosebuds unfold, revealing
the romance of nature at a glance

Wisp of light prancing around them
yielding a velvet air to touch
Brighter than gems, yet on a stem
Dawn has burst forth, I love so much

Exquisite velvet roses
long green stems, leaflets, and prickles
Spray of velvet roses poses
Sweet fragrance of moist dew trickles

Crisp air weaving through trembling leaves
Deep yearning feeling to embrace
the sight of the red rose, like thieves
takes my breath away with grace

The Owl and the Pussy Cat

The Owl And The Pussy Cat By Edward Lear,
He, this poet was in top gear.
Exciting, extraordinary excellent read,
Oh the Owl and the Pussy Cat the child does need!
Warming well-being, whimsical write,
Loving loverly lovely light.
Awesome and amazing adorable antidote,
Never forgot this poem he wrote...
Dreamily dreaming darling dream,
The owl and the pussy cat were a great team!!
Heartwarming, healing rhyming-seeds,
Expertly crafted and exceeds…
Positively positive perfection plated,
Uplifting, universally uncomplicated.
Sensational seducing start,
Sweetly sweetened sweet; so smart!!!
Young-at-heart-yarn...
Creative creations constantly charm.
All in all a favourite book for it articulately,
Truthfully, terrifically  took…

Premium Member A Noble Fir For Christmas Morn

At first sight of first snow colour
Scrapbook memories stir with folk within
Where spirits of love, caring, and sharing were
Whispers of our life we shared, brings wet tears that blur
Of the old farmhouse toasty and warm within-doors
Stipend oak wood was fed into its heart to burn
Fiery amber, yellow, and reds comforting flames would flicker
Crackling, sputtering sound of burning cinders

   Wisps of oak mixed with ma’s cooking would journey
Shimmying up its way through the chimney

   Outside world had been cloaked in a white glittery sheen

A heartwarming Snowman was always seen
Decked out in his red scarf and top hat beaming
By the front porch greeting passersby
 Red Birds perched and rustle the winter evergreens
Conifer and denuded trees would unfurl a story book scene

   We would peek out the window when pa honked the horn
On his 1940s green worn out pickup to warn
He was back with a fresh cut noble fir for Christmas morn

Snowflurries Swirl

Snowflurries Swirl

Snow falls inside the glass globe:
A swimming, swirling vision
Where four youngsters pose frozen
In their run to leap to a win
For the longest sliding glide
Along an icy, country road
Where no traffic flows;
Near a row of evergreens
   that do not grow;
Overseen by a pair of pinpoint specks
    for the black, button eyes on
    that morning’s made snowman;
And from across an ever-white yard,
In front of a tiny, stone cabin,
Stand some adults, bundled up
To guard against freezing in flying snow —
All huddled together with arms raised
And their painted mouths wide open
In mid-cheer, “Go!  Go!”
So loud…So excitedly set to see
Their youngsters, who will not age,
Leap and slide into a race
That has no distance and no winner
— Over ice that does not melt…
All figured to be a vision of some
Heartwarming winter life
That will not end.

Premium Member He Makes Me See In Color

He makes me see in color
when I’m enshrouded in my grey.
His hues of happiness twirl and dance
and my life takes on a different stance.
~~~Beauty birthed in blessings believed~~~
        He gifts to me...
reassurance in reality’s revelations!
His color blind eyes
make my truth blind ones see...
My words are wonderfully wise
Passionately poignant
Honestly heartwarming
Sensually scintillating
Oh la la lacious…simply delicious
vibrantly colored in vivacious!!!
These are the word colors
he mixes on my page’s palette
with his own signature artistry.
He embellishes the plain canvas of my mind
a kaleidoscope revelry….I see
This color blind poet,
this mentoring friend
is a man who carries a name
which says it all...
Lamoureux: the one who loves
He's a lover of colors he cannot see
because he’s gifted them...
He’s gifted them all
to me
Who Do You Think I am
You paint your pictures, on the canvas of my mind.
Ebbing and flowing, as your thoughts become released.
Texture and color, are displayed with every line.....
If I could see in color.....
More Than a Heartwarming Gesture
i booked this trip
just to see the look
on your face
it sounds cliché, but
your reactions are
priceless
when we get over that
bridge, i knew that i had
made the right choice
it is in the smile of your
voice
during this trip, you forget
that you are a first timer in
a last chance society
you have been working so
hard just to stay afloat for
so many years
despite the pain that your
stomach hernia causes you
at times....you keep it movin'
i felt you deserved to be rewarded
for that
sometimes in life what you do for others
is more satisfying than the simplest of self
satisfaction
i too discover that i have lots left to learn
through the way you carry yourself even in
this paradise
thank God for me not listening to the other
side of my reluctance....i would probably still
be leaving footprints in the collected powder
dust in the corner and feeling sorry for myself
going and being anywhere with you is like
upgrading the prosperity of my overall well-
being and wealth....
Premium Member Ethereal Harpist
Ethereal harpist
my soul you caress
infusing my tune
with a sweet happiness.
Gently you pluck
at the strings of my heart
giving my song
a new meaningful part.
I seek you in darkness
beyond what is real
and cling to the ways
your soft touch makes me feel.
I hold to you tightly
and wait for the night
where fantasy reigns
over all that is right.
I dream of the comfortable
warmth of your arms
enchanted by trinkets
of heartwarming charms.
Words on a page
cutting right to my soul
filling my emptiness
making me whole.
Each of your words
like a soft gentle kiss
remind me of life's
simple pleasures I miss
In such sweet surrender
with you I could live
for you know not to take
till I'm begging to give.
Ethereal harpist
caressing my soul
playing my heart
to the measure of whole
A lifetime of emptiness
left for to deem
to wake up and find
you are only a dream.
