THE AFRICAN CHILD
Do they have dreams?
Dreams of riches, connecting bridges
Of healthiness, of wealthiness
Of emotional wellness?!
Do they actually dream?
Of a future beyond their noses
Of fancy cars, of lofty houses
Would they ever wake up, if at all they sleep?
How could they dream?
Under leaking roofs they sleep
Getting less, but from foreign tip
Hard mats, empty stomach they sleep
Do these dreams come easily
When one's sleep is decided
By the silence of a gun
Or the heat from the sun?
I hope not,
Yet they sleep
Hoping that one day, maybe one day
Their resilience will pay.
Football,
it tests your faith,
it makes you pray,
it plays out lessons
and thousands sing along.
It will teach sportsmanship and respect,
it inspires healthiness and clean living.
Clubs sit in the heart of the community,
millions attend each weekend.
It makes you happy,
it makes you cry,
but both bring people together.
It creates a conversation between strangers all over the world.
Those that attend or follow, fund the game, just like religion,
but unlike religion in the summer it goes away.
Football is the religion that's real,
it unites people all over the world,
football has done what no religion could do,
unite billions without fear, guilt, or preach,
freedom it breeds, they freely choose a team,
religions war and bleed, actions of no dream.
Common in both is greed,
but football won't tell you what you need,
whereas the told need in religion feeds its greed.
One creates memories to treasure,
one an excuse to fight wars forever.
Both are man made by god made man,
but with football there is freedom,
no rules, no demands, no wars for lands,
just thousands of strangers, free, as one in the stands.
Football is one with humanity and humanity is one with football.
Football is bigger than Jesus.

No other choices left to go
Words and advice have been to slow
Doing their job would of prevented this
Every communication into the abyss
No cruelty no care
Treated not nice of fair
Just the vast expanse of nothingness
From those who promote healthiness
Being paid large salaries
Preaching to those with abnormalities
One appointment every year
The rest of the time living in fear
I cry and beg for your help
Yet they leave me crying ready to yelp
They like to kick you when your down
Beg for help and they frown
Her silence has left me more devastated
Mood so low and deflated
With no choice just a last resort
A drug for the mind it may support
The outcome may have been different
If they weren’t so rude and ignorant
But for right now I have the last resort
There is balance in the rhythm of life
A give and take for which we strive
In the middle between all or nothing
We find our own path to survive
Caring for others unconditionally
An altruistic motive though unrealistic
To want to care for others is generous
For some it can become fatalistic
We must take care of ourselves first
Though to think only of ourselves is wrong
We donate time or money if we have it
If we give all we can't sustain for long
Financial gifts cannot leave one penniless
Self caring responsibly requires healthiness
Imagine giving time until one is senseless
There is a balance that requires gentleness
Self care and caring of others is healthy
Even as children learn about sharing
Limits are important also for the wealthy
Finding boundaries a necessity for caring

Take Care Of Yourself First Contest
By Caren Krutsinger
Honorable Mention
the bittersweet silent story of my life age
fifty and nine automatically rebroadcast
in indelible (yet never washed out) beige
indistinguishably linkedin, when counting
the last three of seventy somber orbitz,
signify torturous custom made cage
whose darkening shades of gray
housed a weakened Harriet Harris,
an ashen corpse lay
no doubt a grown changeling dust play
a cruel trick, and soul of me mum didst slay,
so...tis with great difficulty aye write this poem today

Today, not as any other days,
When I always was the first arrived at this place,
Waiting for the piano to be available,
For me to clean and press on the keyboard,
To break the sound of silence
Of the well lighted open space.
Not far away, there was a chimney
Covered under a huge cone,
They were the centre place's icons.
Some of the personnel of this Centre,
Like the security guards, the cleaner,
The maintenance workers, the new train station constructors,
The goods deliveries staff and the train commuters,
They rushed and walked pass me.
Few stopped to pay me compliments.
Lately, I could not play the piano well.
There was one other reason
But I preferred not to mention.
Have I cheesed off with the piano?
Or was I fed up with the same old songs,
Played in the last 10 months.
Lately, my memory failed me badly,
I could not play new songs at all.
Normally, I was able to remember
How the music went
After listening to them over and over again,
But, now I could not do that any more.
My emotional pain supposed to settle by now,
But some how, it flared up again
When I saw him on the Mothers' day evening.
I was sure why he was there,
What a painful excuse for him.
Once a year to show your appreciation to a person,
Who carried you inside her womb,
Especially in his case,
A single mother to raise four young children.
Also according to his descriptions,
His mother was the slowest person in the world
When learning and understanding new things.
It hurt me when hearing those words.
The way he perceived his mother,
As a person who has low IQ and not intelligent.
To me, he appeared to be a very handsome,
Fit, strong and wise mature person.
Then why he remained being unattached.
After three decades of adulthood.
Well, it was because he was too picky.
I was not suitable for him, not even as a friend,
After all, I met only 66.66% of his requirements.
We had same level of intelligent,
Shared lot of common interest,
Strongly believed in healthiness,
Had 90% of the same passion
And point of view in life.
If that was not good enough in friendship
Then I had no idea what it should be.
Good luck to him in soul mates searching,
Good luck to him in finding a soul mate with chemistry,
Last but not, in finding a partner in life and having a family.
November 12 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Acts 1-3
Key Verse – Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST
Praise be to God for the power of the Holy Ghost
in our witnessing, as we always:
Come to His presence
Cling to His protection
Continue in His principles
Carry to Him our problems
Cast to Him our pessimism
Call unto Him through prayer
Cleave to Him amidst persecutions
Acts 2:32 Praise be to the Lord for His raising up grace:
Redeeming us from hell
Ransoming us for heaven
Reviving us with heartiness
Renewing us toward harvest
Restoring us midst helpfulness
Reforming us with hopefulness
Refreshing us along healthiness
Acts 3:6 Praise be to the Saviour for
helping us to walk in His name by His:
Favour for our flourishing followership
Forbearing for our faithful field-function
Faithfulness for our faith-filled fruit-bearing
Foundation for our firm focus to His freedom
Fervency for our forceful fortitude against fright. Amen!

Childhood delight midst leaping spree
with skipping rope setting feet free
energized to count “One-two-three”
exposing exuberant glee.
Such was I with my peers so dear
decades ago showing glad cheer
kids defying downfall fear
soaring high along active gear.
Now, exercising through jump rope
from hopping strain my heart does cope
while striving for healthiness scope
for wellness management I hope.
Toward faith*-leap for service height
spirit ascends in prayer plight
thanking the Lord Who grants blest might
with His grace, compassion and light.
*Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

Infants fill in speaking muse
in motion slacks
Children fill in leaking emotional cracks
in home and family's nurturing support
with deaf and blind lies
of eternal ever after
nursing happiness
Democratic healthiness,
free and freeing
first amending communications
grasped quickly
before autocratic adolescence
turns down our brighter sight.
As with one little light,
so with the great transitioning many
too old
to innocently fight
Wounded future children
filling in leaking communion cracks
in synergetic EarthHome
and EarthFamily's nurturing support
with monoculturally deaf
and monotheistically blind lies
of eternal ever after
nursing AnthroAutocratic happiness.
Inspired by the fact that Stevie Wonder is a blind musician, yet has never been impeded by his disability to achieve, here am I… persisting to do my best to help my special child attain triumphant milestones.
Ascending amidst impossibility's attacking angst
Bravery blossoms, boasting of blessings
Cleaving to commitment with clarity
Defying despair, disability-distress…
Endeavoring with exhorting excitement exuberantly
Faith toward fruition freely fuels fulfillment for
God guards and guides by His grace…
Hoisting with hope, healing heralds healthiness
Inspiring against infirmities toward what's impossible* to impart impactful
Joy so jubilant to fulfill tasks in life’s journey despite jeering jury…
Kindled with kindness...
Loving my special child toward his liberation
Maximized by milestones, magnify mercy with miracles...
Not and never impossible through the Lord Who nourishes and nurtures.
*Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
