Sing every day and chase the mean blues away
the way I sing, the blues won’t be going too far.

Experience is the best teacher
obviously, I never listened to my teachers.

You will be happy with your spouse
I refuse to answer on the grounds that it may incriminate me.

Eat chocolate to have a sweeter life
and gain about a hundred pounds doing so.

Dance as if no one is watching
I plan to do that as I have two left feet.

Things usually do not happen overnight. It takes time and hard work
well, I guess nothing will ever happen for me.

You will receive money from an unexpected source
unless I have a rich relative I don’t know about, it ain’t gonna happen.

Move in the direction of your dreams
what happens if they turn out to be nightmares?

Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest,
It has been my experience that a good deed never goes unpunished!

Your ability to juggle many tasks will take you far.
Well, I have never could juggle.

Once long ago there was a clear blue sky
Where roamed free bird and butterfly
That’s when came the idea to super citify
And to pollution creators deify
All put their brain power to diversify

Silenced anyone who dared go awry
Soon mile high skyscrapers did gratify
And every square inch did occupy
Way too many to quantify
So it was nature they did damnify

Now skies are filled with traffic jams that horrify
Greenish rain waters that relentlessly acidify
Mountain-high billboard ads that do electrify
An extravagance of gadgets enough to stupefy
Implanted technology meant to dehumanify

In light of superfluity, let me just plainly oversimplify
Scientists need to eat a big piece of humble pie
There’s just no way to justify
Why colorful sunsets went by the by
And why no one remembers the aroma of apple pie

Lord, I'm gazing at my computer trying to come up with things to write.
I pray that I can compose verse for others that will soothe and delight.
Please direct my deliberations so as to provide light and not offend,
And that simple words may flow from my pen that folks will comprehend.

I want to write not to become rich but for others their lives to enrich,
And provide constructive insight and a tad of humor - that is my pitch.
I pray that my writings will enlighten others - that is my fervent goal.
If I can maintain quality standards it will more than gratify my soul.

May everything I compile in some way honor and glorify Your name,
And please keep me humble since I do not covet accolades or fame.
Lord, I owe sincere thanks to You for any poetic talent I may possess,
And I pray for Your steady guidance as on this poetical journey I press.

In this life's journey, where paths intertwine,
We find solace and joy in friends so divine.
Through laughter and tears, they lift our spirits high.
Above mere companions, their love makes us fly.

As the air we breathe, friends are the breath of life.
With each beat of our hearts, they ease the strife.
In their presence, we find solace and peace.
Their love and support will never cease.

They gratify our souls with their gentle ways.
Guiding us through life's maze.
Their words of solace, are precious advice,
Nurture us navigate through the lows and highs.

In times of darkness, they bestow light.
With their friendship, everything feels right.

Good Fruit

He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
John 15:2 NIV

Thank you Christ
For you created a way
That we might be grafted
Into the living tree
Mold and prune me
Unto the being you died for
All my limbs that grow away
From the light in the wrong direction
Cut off to discard for nothing good
Would come from it
Just let me be a small branch in the living tree
Being feed from the living water
That will create a fruit that is good
To reflect the guidance of the caretakers
Hard work, tears and continuous support.
For Him to see the joy and happiness in His creation
The fruit that comes from His tree of life.

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Galatians 5:16?-?25 NIV

Severed Latency

I am not hardened by your strong sense of will
And i am not weakened by any fragility of spirit
I am not stood still, awaiting my becoming – i am flowing
And no longer do i fear the ingrained teachings of which you still hold dear

I have retreated and enveloped in shadow — far too long
Once entangled by your distorted webs i could not see coming
And then at night i lied latent, a lingering state of questioning
Cocoon of unease-full sleep in the woven bed you had made

A saga of indifference used to evince itself in plenty an instance
Namely, i wore clothing of poise and purity to gratify your expected modesty of me
And hid behind prayer and knelt to save me from the art of unsanctioned vulgarity
Would you now say i have plucked from the garden of forbidden fruit
Since i fail to follow the faith leading to your promised land?

False promises have propelled me forward towards honest grace
And sincerity now speaks to me in spirituality, my sacred space
I do not need to succeed failure to gain my attention nor to silence any dismay
And i do not feel urgency to stray away from my intrinsic gateways

I am not frightened by your close attention to detail
Pertaining to matters of me and the ideas i adopt to be true instead
Nor do i bother about your views on my newfound philosophies
Considering i feel seldom incomplete presently, so i can reason with you now

Alas, when i used to cry i could not turn to you
But my forgiveness touches places accessible to you these days
I can see beyond our diverged paths and welcome you all the same
For even if shame rouses, i shall not place the blame onto your heart spaces

You have taught what you’ve known and rightly so
I just pray and hope you can accept a version of me who’s changed
Since i feel earthbound without the cloudiness of what you’ve tried to arrange
So are you convinced that cherubs await those in disbelief of your deity in parade
Or did these unleashings persuade you further into your religious and lawful ways?

Music of the Night

With the tremulous dark vista so far and yet so near
Abandoning my defences ~ I stand in awe ~ not in fear

 Virtuoso Maestro unleash
       a Composition Grandioso
              To Overtures of a Symphony
                   herald the raging storming Tempo
                                   Staccato Strains cascading
rapid torrents of Treble and Tremolo
                    Rhythmic Beats a Prelude
to an intensifying Triple Time Scherzo

Silken sail unfurled I embrace the storm of your tempestuous symphony
Crashing~ drifting~ floating~ flowing~ tasting ~awakening my melodic epiphany

                               Effervescent chilling thrilling air as
                    Allegro whelms Allegretto
                               Electrifying sizzling Musette ~
                                         Trills a mesmeric Capriccio
                           Registers booming Bass Notes
                    rumbling within your thunderous Vibrato
    Echoing claps of thunder Prompt
                a spectacular Cadence Crescendo

I release my Spirit to gratify every phantasy in its sight
The soaring Tempest of my Soul liberates its own Philharmonic flight
Inhibitions abandoned as I succumb to your Music of the Night

Footnote:
By way of musical term allegory, I have endeavored to dramatize and romanticize the Awesomeness of an Electrical Thunderstorm and simultaneously likening it to the rush of tactual Sensual, Sexuality and Emotions experienced in romantic instances. I felt that the instrumental rendition of ‘The Phantom’ Musical, aptly accentuates the trepidation, anticipation and elating sentiments portrayed in the various elements of my poem.

My Doxology

My doxology moves up the roof
Hastens highly, and highly with its proof
As the crop of the counting days
One by one in all ways

I don't want to be an ingrate
Just like that of bandit
So, I gratify the Lord
For making the plan fulfilled

Credits to mummy
For her restless efforts all through the journey
She is busy playing the roles of two
When careless of others accrue

My teachers were not out
They built in me the engine of thought
The daily lecturer counted as stress
Has given me the world to dress.

My companions were the best
It is wow to be one of the set
The loves, the cares, the trust
They gave me confidence that could not be bought.

I sincerely appreciate dept. lovers
You trusted me, even when I didn't to myself
It is my joy to know you all
And, I promise to be with u forever

The Believer's Family
I came as a stranger
But I was accepted as a member
Forever is your love in my heart

Hmmm...
I will never forget the momeries
That I got from Amos Jac
So proud of the generation I am.

Right now,
I am as happy as a pig in the mud
Because of the land mark I reached
Lord I say My doxology is to you

Premium Member Exquisite Pain and Joy

There is exquisite pain
In being offered a beautiful gift
Fine the wrapping
The bows beautifully beguiling
The attached card:
Love’s testament in writing

Everything indicates
The contents are perfect
What lies inside
Can satisfy, electrify, gratify….
BEAUTIFY, yes, beautify your life
Wrapped up in pretty paper
The outside tantalizes
Alluring me to open
Open…Open…OPEN!

Yet….
I sit and stare
At the beauty before me
Thinking...rationalizing...
Nothing lasts forever
NOTHING
Were the gift to be handled and fondled
It might lose its newness
Its mystic
Its beauty
It might get...old
And so
The gift sits there
Unopened
But there is exquisite joy in knowing
In there beats a heart for you
Strong and true
Experiences fresh and new

When you are stronger
You will pull that pretty blue bow
Yet for now...
it’s good to know
the gift remains waiting...

The gift is for you

Travel with me to a nature lover's dream
Denali's grandeur is the unfolding theme
Expansive vistas paint a wondrous scene
Snow covered peaks look quite so pristine.

Morning sun blushes atop gray clouds
Majestic sights gratify excited crowds
Glaciers glow upon a distant mountain range
Mesmerizing hues color changing landscape.

Butterflies roam flowers pink and yellow
Moths feasting on nectars look so mellow
Birch trees so tall, they swing with the wind
Aspen tree sings with its leaves shiny green.

Red squirrels run from trees to leap
White sheeps graze on ranges so steep
Moose and grizzly bear a sight must see
A golden eagle flies high above the trees.

Mountaineers climb soaring mountain peaks
Hiking, biking, camping is what visitors seek
Memories made here will never depart
A visit to the park will engrave your heart.
