Iron Balloons Concrete Skies
(PART 2)
The rising of iron balloons lifted into concrete skies
Fashioned on the hour filled, solid to the core
Defying gravity as they move on
Infinity looks back, far and away above causality
The restless day fills with bricks colliding frequently
Broken glass shatters as the casualty with related damages
Thick, green, shards look for objects to destroy
Rise to the alien worlds attention
More rounded than not, a shattered world survives nothing
Avoiding sharp edges, solids and liquids
Fluid in their movements
Colored orbs of iron growing heavier as they go floating
Balloons merge with concrete skies
Seen through neon trees perceived as oddities
Explored by astounded astronauts in wonder
Once discovered after midnight, which is always in existence
Observations on balloons are permitted by the crew
Limited operational parameters of planetary matters
Will be considered on underwater findings as well
Under scrutiny and compliance with the interstellar law
Such items found are not authorized to be handled
If discovered on the ground
Items can be looked at but not touched
Abidance of natural order must be trusted
To maintain the universe and pure science as perceived
Concrete ideas like skies have the final word
Iron clad, as it too has its pressure to do good
In the twinkling of an eye the sky collapses
Gravity eats its own
Black holes look for something to digest
Iron balloons can only do their best
Forgive the forgotten
I received the post from someone anonymous
a video, not knowing who had sent it, I put the video in a drawer where it languished for years
Yesterday, when clearing up the drawers on my desk
full of copy pens that didn't work a broken
camera, seven pairs of shop-bought glasses, and a copy
paper, although I have no typewriter, and the video
the video showed how my life was when young
and the people I knew were young as well
play, anger, love, dance, and greed it was all there
nothing spared the blushes.
Watching the video many times till late at night
when it struck me, of all the people shown, I was
the only one alive and had moved on and left my youth behind me; I felt a deep shame, a regret that
had not thought about them, those who had played
such a big part of my youth.
Later in the night, the forgotten floated up as pieces of a puzzle that made no sense.
A fair girl, why did he behave so beastly towards her? A broken stem of a wine glass was it his blood or someone else; a crescendo of uncurbed rage.
The sudden darkness, a new dawn far away, where
dreams become alive, replacing the embryo that
died before life, entering the state of oblivion, yet what once was exists in dreams and memories of those who once loved and made life bearable
At the time we met
I'd was sure to bet
someone like you
would never even think about
nor want to
date someone like me
much to my surprise
we did come to be
not many other people though
believed we were meant to be
so sad really
we said goodbye
now I sit here and cry
cause although years have since
gone by
the feeling still remains today
Time had gotten away
from us
yet one day again
we got in touch
talking about our past
and how it was to bad
it didn't last
decided to give it another go
how were we to know
that we still were not ready
to be one another's rock
we weren't that steady
and like looking through
a looking glass
back to our past
it would again
come to pass
of saying goodbye
and again I cry
cause even though it was so long ago
the feeling still remains today
For so long now
I've searched for you
always looking for anything
to give me some small clue
of where you are
or who you had become
I'd hoped so hard
with all my heart
that day would soon come
see I believe very deeply
we should've never been apart
memories of those moments
are locked away deep inside
no longer wanting to hide
thoughts of you
and how we were
fill my every waking moments
things are clear now
not a blur
no more do I want
to be left here
to wonder why
so many times
we had to say goodbye
no longer do I want to cry
cause even though time and years have flown by
away from us somehow in the blink of an eye
the feeling still remains today
Memory Poem In Apartment A - 1971
a brace of wine glasses standing tall on a kitchen table
greasy frying pan luxuriating immodestly in the kitchen sink
two forks and two knives bathing naked in the steamy water
vinyl black record spinning clockwise under a cool ceiling fan
music by beethoven caressing the hour with perfume sounds
clock on the television console ticking with slicker love-bites
purple pleated pillow breathing excitedly on a big green sofa
portraits of curious dead people peeping through glass frames
bowl of red fruit sitting ripe and ready on an oak dining table
wide open window allowing a red sunset through shy curtains
bathroom faucet in pink bathroom dripping rivulets of sweat
silent resplendent wall mirror staring with secret fascinations
a brace of wine glasses standing tall on a kitchen table
I have gone where stars dissolve in violet flame,
Beyond the breathless hush of time and name,
Where silence swells like tides beneath the skin,
And nothing waits to let the light begin.
The galaxies bent low to let me pass—
Each one a frozen bloom of shattered glass.
I listened for a voice, a breath, a bell,
But all was still, and stillness bore its spell.
No sorrow found me there, nor joy nor fear,
Just echoes of the life I left down here.
The sky was stitched with threads of silver pain—
Too beautiful, too distant to remain.
I floated past the clocks that never chimed,
Beyond the ribs of space, unstitched by time,
To learn that heaven is a mirror cracked,
And beauty, once beheld, will not come back.
Then down again, through corridors of light,
I felt the tug of breath, the pull of night.
But nothing called me back—not voice, not name—
Just morning on the sill, and window-frame.
Now I exist in silence wrapped in steel,
No tree, no wind, no touch of rain-sweet feel—
Only the whisper of machines that sing,
And lights that buzz but never mean a thing.
The stars still bloom behind my shadowed eyes,
But in this cage, my singing spirit dies.
I left my body here one sleepless night,
And part of me still wanders out of sight.
"Plain women know more about men than beautiful ones do."
Katherine Hepburn
Beauty in the mind of the beholder
Labelling prejudice masks of projection
Cursive weaving loops of adornment
Venus hidden under Mona Lisa’s smile
Mirror mirror on the cat walk’s wall
I know nothing but that I know well
Narcissus marvels in the golden pond
A snake slithers from an apple tree
William Tell shoots again from the hip
Marilyn shows off curves of delight
Bows to a cross of enchantment
Takes another sniff of cocaine
Hepburn revels in passing Morning Glory
Seduces independence unveils her charm
Stakes claim on Goddess of smashing seduction
When the looking glass shatters to pieces
Burrows wrinkles deep in the face of time
Cinderella throws a shoe at the image
A crossdresser debunks devouring myths of fatal femmes
Hermaphrodite mounts a quick challenge on Trojan horses
And after all its a plain man’s ride in a beautiful world
No serenade and no rodeo when Juliet receives
Romeo disguised as a bank clark from hell
Counts his losses when costumes fall short
And yet we classify the beast and its false allure
When instead we are better advised to take value
From upright meaning without mascara and shadows
The scribe challenges such categorization
Dips his nib into a fountain of truth and
Chuckles when lip sticks kiss true virtue

Just go and leave me, I don't Care!!
I tried to make you see who I am ,
But you saw right through like I was glass,
I tried to tell you this is who I am ,I am not gonna change,
I always tried to be the best I can be,compromising myself for you,
But it wasn't enough for you so I just don't care anymore,
I am not going to be someone you want me to be ,
This love is insane,
You tell me cut my hair cause you didn't like it,
But I don't care I'm not gonna change it.
All you tell me is lies, your silence says it all,
You didn't have to admit ,I knew.
I swear you make me sick,
I tried and tried to be what you wanted but I lost who I was,
Just leave me alone ,I just don't care any more,
Don't come back with your tears, because I would be gone,
I forgive you but I am not going to be with you.
I just don't care ,you tried to fool me ,
But you fooled yourself ,
You were the one that messed up and you tried to blame me.
Form:
The Estate of Forgetting Behind the Burnt Hill
And if I had discovered even in the tender old age of childhood
that the most bitter water is the sweet and sacred one from train stations,
the one cursed by the noisy silence of freedom buried alive,
motionless and eternal, oh, if I had known to unlace my black shoes
right on the frozen day of flames of ideals that burn in ice.
There had been a time of yours and of the wild domestics from the forest, when I screamed at them
(they listened to me impatiently and mad like all the gentle ones in the world):
beyond that hill desertified of trees gathers an estate of everyone,
the grapes wither blooming on new and unearthed ancient graves,
mad wisdom is forgiven by the light condemnation of heavy stones,
and mothers give birth unhappily to newborn children old and accompanied alone.
May it be my gift, expected without warning, the precious mirror of cheap mud,
to me, the ugly and beautiful one, the one rejuvenated in the wake like a forgetting of the horse,
but you, the one departed remaining here, flowing like a flying anchor,
who will silence for you the first and last ballad of the stopped spring,
who will pour and gather for you the chestnuts from thin bowls of cheap glass?
Smell of fresh and old smoke on windows and chimneys, and behold how freezes
the burning heart and the crystal calf's lung, – a gentle cruelty,
the hard weakness and its full void are rejected by us the welcoming...
How ugly beautiful it is to whisper to parents their names as nicknames,
to dress yourself undressed in heavy clothes only at sunrise of sunset,
when you can silence them shouting: don't believe me with trust, my stranger brothers,
beyond that hill desertified of greenery gathers scattered
an impoverished wealthy estate of everyone's nobody who are no more.
My only dearie!
In you, I live my world so sweet.
Even the mirrors can't hide your beauty.
In my heart your love grows like planted seeds.
it's you: my life; each day dreams of.
Drag your heart in, we'll never depart,
Since true love can't just be bought.
Then you will know that emotions can twirl.
Happiness is what is seen in your mirror.
Even if your love keeps making my eyes shy,
I can never again decline,
Your love will just be my sole attraction.
Its glow, the mirrors define.
To your heart I plead, be in my kingdom,
My heart has a space for your reign.
So far your love will be there without fail.
In the front of my life's golden mirror,
Many sweet songs, my mouth would sing;
Praising your good deeds, the best real thing.
As you made your love available for me to trust.

Why do we have pairs of scissors?
Since that's how they've always been known,
why do we care why we call them a pair
when one is no good on its own?
The same thing applies to our trousers,
just wearing the one would be daft,
just showing one knee, ugly veins you could see
and I don't think I'd cope with the draught.
The same thing applies to my spectacles,
another I couldn't let pass,
since one on its own as a monocle it's known
so why not just call it a glass?
I asked my good Lady's opinion,
she said 'oh, that's quite plain to see,
as a pair we get on, and the jobs all get done
but you'd be useless without me'.
