Epithalamium

My heart is inditing a poetic matter
My tongue is the workmanship of a divine potter
My glossa is the verbal-scripter of a meditative writer
These words are the instinctive outburst of my soul
Liken to the boiling fountains of geysers of shoal

It is so sad when the heart is cold with a good matter
It is even worse when it is warm with a bad matter
I speak of the things my tongue has composed concerning the groom and the bride

Words can never describe how we all feel today
Such feeling will be expressed in poetic words than kept, yet
With all the splendor of such a feeling, there is one most important thing
Love is the most important thing

What a word we use for an idea so immense and powerful
What a one syllable for a theme so divine and wonderful
Love is a mighty power, not just to propose with a Rose flower
It has altered the flow of history; it has solved every unsolved mystery

Love lightens every burden, and bears every hardship as though it were nothing
It renders all bitterness acceptable and delectable
Nothing is sweeter than love, nothing stronger
Nothing higher, nothing wider, nothing more like fire
Nothing to desire, nothing fuller or better in heaven or earth

For love is born of God, Love flies, runs and leaps for joy
It is free and unrestrained, love cannot be chain
Love ardently transcends all bounds, Love feels no burden
Takes no account of toil, and attempts things beyond its strength

Love is not fickle nor a tickle, nor is it formalities nor vanities
Love is a revelation, a desire deeper than civilization
Love’s dimensions is built on Christ foundation

To the glorious groom and beautiful bride
One elegant, one glorious, evoking admiring glances
Two loves passed down the long wide aisle
Between two lengthening rows of smiles

God has brought you together, not to be torn asunder
To be united in His love, with faith in God above
This is not a mere ceremony but a Holy Matrimony

Today as you begin the rest of your life
Together forever as husband and wife
May your dreams come true, with love and more
Adventures to have and the world to explore

As you celebrate your wedding this day
As you exchange your vows, I just want to say
These wedding memories will linger in our heart as a treasure
And seeing family, love ones and friends here is a pleasure

Your Lover (Part Iii)

Listen to your lover as he comes, gazing in your windows, peering
through the lattice, leaping across your mountains and bounding over your hills
like a gazelle or young stag in your garden orchard of pomegranates with choice
fruits, with henna and nard, saffron, calamus and cinnamon with every kind of
incense tree with myrrh and aloes, and all the finest spices streaming with wells
of flowing water that go down from Lebanon; I am drenched with dew as I cry out-
I call to you, arise my darling, my beautiful one and come with me. Let us roam
the countryside and go into the fields. Let us spend the night in the villages and
go early to the vineyards to see if the vines have budded, if their tender grapes do
appear, if the pomegranates are in bloom as the mandrakes send forth their
fragrance at our gates. There will I give you all manner of pleasant fruit, and
there I will give you more love until the day breaks and the shadows flee. You
have given me your vineyard, now all in my kingdom is yours. So come, come
away upon the spice-laden mountains and receive my love.
I will love you and give myself for you. I will love you as myself, even
as my own body, for he who loves his wife loves himself. So, I will nourish you; I
will clothe you; I will carefully protect you from danger, spot and wrinkle to present
you in glorious splendor. I will cherish you for you are my body, and I am your
head. Take care of me as your own. I give you honor with your reverence as we
both submit ourselves one to another in the fear of God, and many waters will not
quench our love, neither will the floods drown it, for its coals are the coals of fire,
as the vehement flame of God that none would dare try to put asunder what God
has joined together, and our threefold chord will not be broken. With Jesus, you
and me, we have security, help, warmth, and strength. So, let us give thanks
always for everything to our God and Father in the name of Jesus our Lord for His
Spirit, one another and this day and each day that we can come together and
rejoice and exhilirate each other with love and happiness. May our peace be
forever and ever in love.

God be praised for today’s wondrous altar date
That you, very new couple,
Brother Noel and Sister Berlin became one flesh*…
Tied in the Lord’s love of blissful blessings.

We jubilantly greet you with our earnest prayer
For grand togetherness in your faith-venture
As brand new husband and wife…
Expressing your thanksgiving, glorifying the Saviour.

In your family-building commencement
Along courageous commitment of biblical pursuit
Midst relationship anchored upon Christ’s truth and grace…
We are with you, your church brethren.

Thus, leaving your homes and cleaving to each other
Keep your love’s fire of fidelity’s fuel burning
While serving Your Master Who both called you…
To fulfill His purpose gladly as Mr. and Mrs. Paquit.

*Matthew 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

… ating mabunying ipagsigawan.

TO LIFE AND WEDDING NIGHT BLISS

To the BRIDE, To the GROOM ~
consumed by blushing love,
ardor of amicable affection.
OH the passion that waits
in your bedroom suite, sweet
Eden’s confection, a mixed elixir,
a tango of crystal turning two into one.

And perhaps the soft music
and the flickering candlelight
will bless your love on this night
in nine months time another life
will further sweeten up your home.

Oh mighty blush, how it stings
your young and innocent cheeks!
A kiss or two will do you good,
bid you goodnight but not adieu.
And you shall wake, all the rosier,
as we all giggle and gather for brunch.

We live through you two, in memories
or hopefulness, feeling your pulse,
beating with the grand affair of your hearts.

May your blessings be greater than your sorrows,
lasting what feels like an eternity. Okay we jest,
and smile between us married couples. Truly,
may you be blessed with gentleness, love,
adventure of bountiful years. In applause,
we lift our overflowing glasses
to the lovely BRIDE and blushing GROOM!
CHEERS!

Epithalamium

          2. Something New

To the bride! To the Groom!

Bless your love-at-first-sight—
Uncovering of angel wings,
Soft music, flickering candlelight,
The bee’s delightful sting.

To the bride! To the groom!
Infused with Eden’s perfection.
Blushing elixir of honey’d room.
Partake of conjugal confection.

Under the Hesperus unfold—
Oh the rapture released - heat
In Winter’s saturant cold.
Buoyant tango betwixt satin sheets.

To the bride! To the groom!
In paradise, two become one.
May a miracle, performed in the womb,
Net you a daughter and son.

May your cornucopia hold passionate fruit.
In reception, our ardor pulse spreads.
Celebration lifts with joyous flutes.
Excitement reigns - our kingdoms wed.

How may I describe the enchanting bride?
As my raven haired beautiful child who
has matured into a lovely young woman;
exuding charm and grace and the
sensibilities of a care giver yearning to please,
even the strangers she meets.

Her spirited nature makes her dark eyes sparkle
like the sea she works near; her moods are
mostly calm and reliable as the tides,
except for an occasional storm that may
suddenly appear leaving one drenched
by a cloud burst from a foreboding sky. . .
which quickly moves on with the swiftness
of an ambiguous March wind.

Her poetic personality affords her the ability
to pen her whimsical nature and fascination with
fairies with which she feels a vibrant connection.
Her love for her cat speaks well of a non-verbal
communication they both are content to share. . .
A way in which she also silently communicates
with her beloved husband to be, the handsome groom.
Here is a fine young man with exuberance and
a dashing personality that shines so brightly,
one needs to don sunglasses while in his presence.

His spirit of fun and laughter brings out the best in his
future bride, leaving little doubt they belong together.
He is on a positive path of intended growth he joyfully
embraces, ignoring the poor economy that might be daunting
to a less positive person whose dreams have no limit.
He is a man who appreciates the inner beauty of my
daughter as much as her outer beauty, thus he truly
understands her and her humbleness, they both possess.

A connection of great intellect, tender hearts with a generous
love for humanity would be the best way describe them both.
Both love to hike in nature and explore little known places.
Their ultimate goal would be to share their love with a child.
A happy couple indeed, on the verge of matrimony
in sharing a life filled with adventure and contentment.
May God Bless you both on your journey through life.

Note* My youngest, Michelle, will be married this Oct. 5th
to her sweet fiancé’ Daniel.

My Beloved (Part Iii)

My attention is undivided as you dance for me the dance of
Mahanaim with your beautiful sandaled feet. Your graceful legs are the jewels of
the Master Craftsman, which surround my waist, and your feet secure them. So,
we embrace and come together, for I belong to you, and I know your desire is for
me. Hold me close and caress me because the winter is past; the rain is over
and gone. The vines have budded and the blossoms have opened. Everything
is now ready, and our bed is new and lively. It's undefiled. It's spread abroad
with silk and satin and is perfumed with aloes and cinnamon. And in our bed is
every delicacy that has been stored up, so let us solace ourselves with loves,
and let us take our fill of desire until the morning.
I have come into my garden; I have gathered myrrh with spice. I have
eaten my honeycomb and my honey. I have drank my wine and my milk, which
have come straight to me. Flowing gently over my lips and teeth is the drink of
your spiced wine, the nectar of your pomegranates- and I, too, shall always fill
you with love. You are priceless to me, and I trust you. I will be good to you all of
my days. You are blessed. You excel all others who think they have done
virtuously. Cradled beside me, you protect my heart, and I will praise you
because you fear the Lord, but never be afraid- I will do for you all that you
require. I will be for you all that you need, and my banner over you is love.
My queen, I am rich in you. You send light into my life as fair as the
moon, and clear as the sun, and majestic as the stars in procession- and I love
you. I love you for who you are. I will always cherish and adore you. I will live
with you in understanding and compassion, and I will care for you, so be secure
in me. We are one; you are my only one, and I am yours. This is the Lord's doing
and it's marvelous in our eyes, so let us rejoice together in Him and celebrate
our love. Let us join together always and delight ourselves forever.

Your Lover (Part I)

Dark am I like the tents of Kedar, like the tent curtains of Solomon;
yet, I am lovely- coming up from the desert in a column of smoke perfumed with
myrrh and incense made from spices wearing my crown. I have come to seal
you upon my heart, so arise my love. Show me your face. Let me hear your voice
for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely. Be my queen. You have made my
heart rejoice. Let me kiss you with the kisses of my mouth that you may know my
love is more delightful than wine. Come away with me; I will lead you. Let me
take you... into my chambers.
Precious and of great price in our house of stone, made of cedar
beams and rafters of fir, behold our bed- the chamber for our love. Threescore
valiant warriors shall guard it about being expert in war holding flaming swords
because of the fear in the night. Our marriage bed is carved of the wood of
Lebanon with four pillars of silver with golden bases. Its interior is inlaid with
gifts of love for you and me alone. It's covered and surrounded by a canopy of
purple for this time of rapture. Let me remove your flowing robe and caress your
body. Hold me and do not let me go. Let me be a sachet of myrrh resting
between your breasts, and as a cluster of henna blossoms from the vineyards of
En Gedi. Let us drink each other's wines, which go down sweetly and cause our
lips to speak, even as we sleep.
As we sleep, you are flesh of my flesh and bone of my bones. Eye to
eye and nose to nose, we two are one in body, soul and spirit, and I will always
love you and cleave unto you, my wife. I will live joyfully with you all my days, for
you are as the loving hind and pleasant roe; gracefully, you captivate my heart.
You take my breath away. Does your heart pound for me? I knock for you. Open
for me. Tell me, Is your lover outstanding? Am I charming, though our bed is
verdant? Tell me so. What do you see? Is your lover far better than others? Tell
me so. Am I the fairest among ten thousand?

The world through a child eye

#The_world_through_a_child_eye
I look around, everything is a mess, maybe there's something in my eye, I think its blood marks, an effect left by horrendous acts, adults of this world have made me witness, daily

Every hair in my body raises, humans have turned evil and heartless, inhuman. Maybe a re-creation, maybe a re-evolution is a right now need to us, a need to return to being humans again and not this beasts and this monstrous selves we have become.

A child eye look at life, at us human, at the world and everything all round. Wish to lend the whole human specie a child eye look, maybe things would be better, maybe change for good

Maybe the genocides would cease, maybe the femicides would end, maybe the gender based violence would culminate, maybe the farm murders would stop

Maybe there would peace in homes, maybe safety too in churches and streets, for our daughters and sisters

Maybe just not minding and living in the moment, maybe just not worrying and over thinking about everything, maybe just taking and accepting things as they are, maybe just seeing life through a child's eye is the solution

Maybe letting go of all the fussiness, maybe learning to enjoy life as it is, maybe not wanting to know and understanding, not wanting to change every single thing, maybe knowledge is the root cause, maybe remaining in the child's eye to the world is everyone's asylum, a solution to our never ending nightmares,

My wish to the whole world, is to remain that child, locked in his innocence, knowing nothing of fear and danger, seeing everything as a toy, as something to eat, as a place to play at, everyone as a friend, a family member, everyone as equal and normal

The world through a child eye

My Beloved (Part I)

He who finds a wife has found a good thing. This is why I came forth
to meet you, diligently to seek your face, and now I have found you- and my heart
is still rejoicing. I will rejoice with you, my wife. I have remembered the covenant
of our God, and because of you I have found favor in His eyes to drink waters,
fresh waters, out of my own cistern, out of my own well, and my fountain shall be
blessed. I will be ravished with your love always. I will lie down with you only and
share the warmth of your body, for you are virtuous. You are my crown. I will have
joy in you all the days of my life. So, love me and know me as I know and love
you.
Your name is like an expensive perfume that is poured forth, like the
fragrance upon your garments to delight my soul. As i gaze upon your figure, I
see that you are perfect and unique. How beautiful you are, fairest among
women; majestic as the troops with banners, there is no flaw in you. Only you
are pleasant to me, my love, pleasing with all your delights. Behind the veil and
the locks of your hair, you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes.
They overwhelm me, the eyes of a dove, beautiful like the pools of Heshbon, and
your nose is as the tower of Lebanon that looks toward Damascus. Your cheeks
are like rows of rubies and beds of sweet flowers and spices. Your lips are like
scarlet ribbons dripping sweet smelling myrrh. They drip like the honeycomb, so
kiss my body softly with the kisses of your mouth, for your love is better than
wine.

Italia we strolled the country side throughout
the villages of Sicily peeking through stone
ways above garden nooks of Puglia catering to
the soft and sensual galleries of floral canvases
that covered scented walk ways gathering the
divine taste of hidden vines borrowed by rows
and rows of lemon trees pricking my fingers

on olive bushes again while we dazzled the
evening air beneath the moonlight both my aunts
my grandmothers sister managed to travel from
Mason Vicentino just for our annual first date as
they chuckled hardily at your vagabond loafers
mocassini's moccassini's making your cheeks
blush while looking over the balconies peering
down the cobble stones this ritual is always

carried out religiously completely steadfast as
everyone sits patiently awaiting my return my
Nonna swaying to the tarantella as soft chiffon
curtains blew in the breeze this fabric was sent
from France by my grandfather still serving in the
Army my shyness remained intact trying not to fall
over wearing my oldest sisters clogs she insisted that
I promised not to scuff them on this grand evening

finally returning to the calming comforting busom of my
family culture heritage Italia Italia and the purity
of my own chastity covenant why until matrimony
celebration like all the women in the family before me
according to my Nonna we are a of rare Greek Italian
Masons and Muses I suppose while i finally arrived
lovingly embraced by sheer wholesomeness tradition
                       the surety of home
