He enters looking bedraggled, tired and worn out, his skin like Vellum, blank and pale. Lifting his eyes to catch their gaze he gives a slight nod to acknowledge their presence. He scans the room as he would a poem, looking for an Indent that leads to a quiet corner. A half-lit light casts a shadow on the flock wallpaper, (ink stained)! He sits hidden from view, away from plagiaristic eyes. Head in hand scribbling while listening for a new word. A muse sings, emanating an un-heard Beat that guides his rhythm while searching for that elusive vowel. On the floor a scattering of pencil shavings and broken lead... frustration at the loss of an adjective, the Half-Rhyme squeezes like a tourniquet on the brain...
Frustration runs high as Enjambment slips off the stage and gathers in reflective pools. The Lady Pastoral reads an Elegy to the passing of Sir Rondeau Redouble, he lead a very lonely life, ascending and then diminishing becoming less Didactic, the Footle holds a Lantern for the loss, while the Limerick found it quite humorous.
At the bar a Stanza of poets gather, disciples of Villanelle, and regale of their latest triumphs in Womans Quarterly. The Epulaeryu's compare their Diamante while eating their babba ghanoosh. At the pool table the movers and shakers decant opinions on the latest 'form' something to do with A.E.I.O.U...Acrostic looks it up and down looking puzzled, Blank Verse remains silent. They dissect, analyse the entrails, the faint hearted look a little Grook. The atmosphere is tense, Verbs drift like dust in the light, causing confusion, they mop their brows with a tired Senryu, the Haiku has little to say on the matter...
A Quintain of intellectuals quietly sit, the Sicilian sipping slim line Monoku's ( no ice ) hoping for a Couplet before the end of the night. On a stool sits the barfly spilling his Bio over the counter top exposing an Ode-ious life, (Metaphorically speaking). On stage the hottest group in town, Chant Royal and the Syllables...singing their latest Sestina, the notes drift across the room resting on the floor, congealing into a Poet-tree fountain, they feel at home as the last act MC McWhirtle enthrals with his Ballad, the barman Ric Tameter calls time, the evening is a Rap, the club is Epic...
Feelings are those seismic ocean waves,
they capture evanescent moments,
a Jack-o-lantern thought which might vanish,
deep breath of ink blue laden vortex,
I wallow in the beneficial sweep,
elation at each seacoast prompt,
banshee wail current of moss-rim swirl,
laughter that billows over garnet rocks,
anamnesis, that emboldened staunch
bosom pal of recourse,
cinematic silver ripple pulse by random toss,
vermillion heartbeat brazen in its banner,
cliff edge catalyst devoid of reckless frame,
emotional attachment this treasure-trove key fob,
hazel eye mere haze yet simon-pure exultant,
clouds afloat spurn august effigy beyond,
love plume flight engaging harsh wind magnet,
tweet from distant recalls lavish echo,
coalesce in perigean springtide haze,
dissolving into faint light petrichor post shower,
rally to suburban chorus when off mute,
where instinct dovetails sentimental crush,
emotion often shunned by headlong rush,
but thin veil satin mist in step with mood,
how frequent are the blissful amorous at noon,
love bug duos sway amid some idle amber sun,
caper to romantic dawn I scope eternal,
wish fulfilment raindrops skim the grey milk dew,
palette tinctured honey phrased yearning,
as love enthrals a towering Mount Blanc.
Nothing
Nothing is lovelier than planet earth
Bar the moon and silvery stars above
Earth is our homeland and we’re free to roam
This gift made for us with the hands of love.
When sun’s slipping into the horizon
A glorious golden glow meets the eye
I'm positive I've seen what I believe
Is a vision of paradise in sky.
Nothing’s as precious as life that God gives
To you and to me, to the birds on wings
All creatures that grace this wonderful world
Trees and flora in divine colourings.
We're given daylight to view all the sights
Of many magnificent scenes we’re blessed
Dark for peaceful tranquility of night
When the weary world and its people rest.
Some have the opinion God doesn't exist
Though there's nothing comes from nothing at all
So many wonders in the universe
I believe the Lord made all that enthrals.
Beauty abound can't fail to astound us
It's the miracle maker’s creation
An almighty act of His providence
Nothing upon earth’s short of sensation.

GENEVIEVE
Notice me
Talk to me; we both wished in secret admiration
Every time I tried; something unseen holds me back
We both waited patiently; time shall fade away
I couldn’t wait on time any longer; I did what I have to do
I did it all; I noticed her, talked to her, and said my mind
Amazingly she felt the same thing I did.
At first, it was lust; hunger and thirst for her body
Hers is an appetizing body; food for the gods
She is not the first; there were others before her
Others; just as pretty and sexy but something is different this time
Her innocence enthrals me; delicate delicacy
She has the inscription on her face that reads “handle with care”
That I did and still doing; she is my precious jewel.
Genevieve
Now, I have fallen deeply in love with you
Nothing else matters except you my love; I love you
I feel things like I never felt before; you changed me
Now I know what true love is; you have showed me the right path to love
It’s complete; love, trust, understanding and all
It’s no longer a secret that only we know; I love you
With love; words of Pascal my brother...
Meandering rivers, streams and burns
Zig zagging, flowing in contour turns
Sparkling waters as pure as can be
Flow through the glens and down to the seas
Much life is found in these translucent waters
Species of fish, and delightful otters
Along these rivers, streams and burns
Grow many grasses, trees and ferns
Varieties of greens in wonderment bloom
A most beautiful sight is natures front room
Her seasons dictate, the rise and the fall
The pictures she paints, delightfully enthrals
These graceful rivers, streams and burns
Lured us to settle, for beside the seas we yearned
Villages turned into towns, and towns into cities
For the lure of these waters, some murky some pretty
For all around the world, the patterns the same
These are just a few, the Thames, Ness and the Seine
Look after all waters as they are all our concern
Our meandering rivers, streams and burns

Precious Lady… my muse
Your words amazing…
But you paint the ideal…
I see it… feel it… broken
I pray… oh how I pray
That what you write
About nature… wildlife…
Oh how I wish was real
I see for myself…
In my locale…
Many wildlife extinctions…
It's not my intention
To spread doom and gloom…
But unless folk
Are made aware…
We do face annihilation
Me, I’m just a messenger
I pass on what I read
And as I said…
Some facts…
Based on what I see…
Our leaders only thoughts
Self-gain, they're in denial
Yet the world cry’s
For its survival.
Oh my blessed muse
Please don’t desert me
I live my life from day to day
In anticipation
Of your inspirational poetry
Your verbosity
Your every word
Enthrals me…
I live in hope
That one day we…
The world… will see
Your poetry realised
Arabian stallions rampant
The magic of your jungles
Desert life… amazing
Write on my muse
The world is waiting
When daddy says wake up my child
And gently shakes my bed
Love is what' felt in my sleepy
state, while lifting heavy head
As mom feeds me warm cereal and milk
Love between us exist
Given a warm bath and clean clothes
Love's tenderness can't resist
Placed in a warm safe place to play
Love radiates my way
When I trip and fall, mom lifts me
Kisses tears and frowns away
Love is the emotion felt all day
When warmth and hugs come
Love also guides me to avoid
Scary places the whole sum
Love is a lullaby sung softly
When tired and sleep won't fall
Love is a kiss gently placed
As covers tucked love enthrals
Love is a good emotion felt
It soothes my inner parts
Love uplits, encourages all
Love comes from the heart
I feel that there are two emotions love and fear..
We can operate in love or we can operate in fear..

Going deep into the valley as the last rays fade
in the big clearing there waiting for me is Snowflake
now he is a Unicorn that kindly takes me on journeys
to wondrous far off mystical realms that astound
Climbing onto his back we set off at speed of light
soaring high we circled the moon saying how do you do
to the blue cheese man who doffs his hat and bows
then sends beams of bright rays to lighten our path
Then racing a shooting star leaving it far behind
onward to Saturn where we dance through its rings
leaving the best to last we fly on to the lady herself
Venus the enchantress, the planet of love that enthrals
Filled to the brim with the sights and the wonder
we drift down to land hugging Snowflake who wickers
then flies off into the dawn fast becoming a disappearing dot
leaving me to wander homeward drinking in creations miracles

contest Today's poem
On this February day
All around the world
So many hearts
In so many twirls
Roses and chocolates
Presents of love
There will be joins of two
Like hands in a glove
Candlelit dinners
Champagne on ice
Dressed to impress
Perfumes will entice
Slow ballads play
Whispers in ears
Hands in wander
Saying, i so love you dear
Skins are caressed
As their wanting lips touch
The unbuttoning of clothes
Valentine clutch
Warm hearth rug
Welcomes their lie
Fireside glow
Begins, with the stroke of a thigh
Hands march
In ceremonial glee
The excitement of two
Rise in degree
Their shadows dance
On orange glowing walls
Symphony of their love
Inner enthrals
Their passion once fuelled
As the fire embers fade
Loves shadows diminish
From their previous display

It is in the grey of icy evenings
When those dimly-lit wishes seem to fade,
A bitter nip, a woe this season brings
The chafing of hope's ardor, delayed.
Even though I grieve during the passage
Of summer’s festive and vigorous trails
How could I not ponder on this new stage;
As the quiet of misty Fall unveils
Reflective pauses where breaths gently ease
The dark and long wait of unanswered squall;
Endowing thoughts with a hymnal reprise
And, guiding stillness with poise that enthrals.
It must be the cold flakes in dusk-like stent
That restores hope with godly contentment.
