FLAMBOYANT
Flamboyant blazes
in orange scarlet clusters.
Spring breeze moves bunches.
I gaze dreamy elusive
delusive, engrossed, absorbed.
Flamboyant vibrant
lames, dazzles in crimson glow,
merrily glistens.
Your sweet blush flashes in mind.
turning me wild passionate.
Flamboyant swings, sways.
Gust chases fallen pollen
whirling in circles.
Reminiscences push me
in abyss of deep vortex.

An overarching sadness
permeates my soul
it presses me down like a mighty wave
and sentences me to melancholy pergatory.
My morose mood
traps me in its entangled web
all is darkness, self pity and doubt
the light of day is ever elusive.
The hours turn like listless pages
in a worn out book of woes
colorless trees droop under a dreary sky
a mourning dove coos mercilessly.
The day drones on in monotone
weary thoughts drown in insignificance
the road to hope is lost in a mirky mire
until the weighty fog finally lifts
and the sun shines through once more.

Beyond the bustling cities I’ve witnessed, From New York to Chicago, Boston, and Washington, Lies a stark reality of homelessness, Where hope seems elusive.
Yesterday, I engaged in conversation with a relative, As she walked through a parking lot, intent on reaching her car. A homeless man halted her progress, His plea for a dollar met with her momentary inability to provide.
Undeterred, he accepted her response with grace, His eyes lingering on her features, admiration in his words: “Lady, you look so fine. If I weren’t homeless, I’d take you out to dinner.”
Curious, she inquired, “Where would you take me?” His proud reply echoed through the air: “Red Lobster!”
Her smile persisted as she continued toward her car, Reflecting on his unexpected compliment. Rummaging through her car’s compartments, she found a dollar, Returning to the spot where the homeless man stood.
She handed him the bill, a small gesture of kindness. And what did we learn from this sweet exchange? Flattery, delivered with kindness, can soften even the hardest hearts. As citizens, we strive to help one another, Offering what we can, even if it’s just a few dollars.
My poems, my solace, my counsel to the world: Oh, my God, where are You? In times of need, I trust that eventually, You will take the wheel.
I love you so much my forever love
There is no fancy way to say it
Over the years we grew apart
Because of our differences and our choices
But never for a minute did that love depart
What God placed in the heart is cemented
And our man-made efforts cannot erase it
We have tried many other roads to walk
Searching for that elusive something
All that happened was dross
So we come right back to the start
I thought we did finally make it
That we would be where we should have been
But then you hurt me with lies
You tore my heart apart
And I hated you for this
I lashed out to hurt you as much as you did me
The feelings of hate and spite was ugly
I look back and wish I had done things differently
That I had given you time to make amends
But in my haste to give myself justice
I forgot how deep my love for you is
But not even that hate can take this love away
Because I love you truly from deep within my heart
My dearest dearest only true love
She is elusive, shy, anticipated
by a waiting world - perhaps too much,
in that she hides herself reluctant to
appear - delicate as the first leaves
her gowns of petals now unfold, nascent,
her dormancy no longer secret bursts
forth greenness like a miracle untold
into each imagination.
Maybe the world’s coaxing makes your appearance
worthwhile - for under grassy banks are
daffodils to adorn your hair, sweet, pastel
beauty - you decorate every where,
spring, spring, spring.

Looking for Love for many long years ‘It must be out there’ she says through tears
Two lonely decades though hourglass quick life slipped by love didn’t stick
Forever a dreamer hoping one day true love will travel destination - her way
The search continues is he looking too why so elusive she wished she knew.
O my life! What a beautiful disaster it has become!
For the doses of my sunny days and starry nights grew numb,
And the sweet caress of my existence has partly succumbed.
It paralyzed me—as though my foresight had been overcome
By whispers creeping into my mind like an intruder's hum.
If I could depose the noisy image of my tomorrow,
Would it bring me silent war or peace amid the undertow?
How could I unfetter the finitude of my own window?
For my soul could barely perceive the playful tongue of a foe,
Or a friend's delightful persona behind an ugly show.
Yet I lament that the world has made its own foolish nickname
When filtered righteousness and glamorous deceit have enflamed.
On whom should I lean when moral transgressions take on their name?
Or should I wish to fly to the Heavens far from where I came?
For illusions seem true—and truth can be an elusive game.
every once in a while,
read me
pass by my elusive and fickle words, let-hers, and numb.errs
like fleeting rain
I may drown you,
I may inconvenience you, I know
but
every once in a while,
remember me
unearth memories of me
since I've buried myself,
and somehow
I am liking it here
but yes,
every once in a while
do restore me
Please?
to what, I don't know
--still figuring myself out,
I somehow feel it,
the inevitability of it
of not leaving footprints,
only ghostly trails.....................
but
maybe,just maybe,
every
once
in
a
while
I'll
let
ink
flow through
my
veins
again.
Historians are mere men.
They sail in the high seas of people
To catch a glimpse at the elusive whale of peace.
Yes, History is not just,
It is the poor outline of the book of Life.
Everyday historians climb their intellectual mountains
And observe their nation like the news chopper over the Brooklyn Bridge,
Down are the flipping pages
Like fresh fish caught from the pond.
The children of the World are born naked,
They will be dressed with the garments of their Culture,
They will be indoctrinated by the idiosyncrasy of their Society
Schooled and fed the yellow marrow of their History,
Except for the marginal and exploited children,
They will be consumed like shrimps in Chinatown.
All the children without exception will be made to choose
Between their consciousness and their Patriotism,
Between Humanity and their religion.
Early, the superimposed mind will be placed
Piece by piece in their initiation ritual,
Crowned with a montage of thoughts,
Others' thoughts.
