Amadeus - Amade

Where! Where to honor you, Amadeus –
In the city of the waltz –
In palaces gilded with golden light
In cathedral dust, forgotten,
In mountain havens
Or their ascending heights?
What place –
What faceless stone -
Bids your spirit rest – what marker
Bids auf wierdersehen Amadeus?

The city where the river blue
Still flows –
Eternal life and inspiration -
Forgets where it’s adopted
Mountain child lies –
Nor did it care when last
You gave your soul in soaring melody
Opening for a tone deaf world
The gates of Heaven’s song –
Eternal symphony of God and man.

No master’s requiem wept upon
The winter day
When winter stilled
The life within your flowing harmony –
The waltzing world
Quickly spun away
From genius haunted by night music –
To see the dust of history cast anonymity
Upon a pauper’s place beneath a tiny star
Where jealous mediocrity hides you.

Among the graves of common man
Envy hides your mortal bones
Unmarked, unknown, unsung –
Momentary crushed -
Until the light of purest sound escapes –
The soul of music you set free - in fantasies -
In plaintive prologues - flutes of magic spells -
Slowly swirls above haunted dreams
Shattering shrouds of soundless bonds
To echo forever in perfect notes.

Where! Where to honor you Amadeus?
Not within a city of rococo gates –
Nor shouted from ancient mountain walls –
Your serenades released to the shepherd King,
Born from inspiration’s boneless soul,
Spin in arias through layers of earthbound airs,
Rise slowly beyond portals of mortality;
Your melodies – crescendos in ecstasy
Flowing from the eternal child resolved -
Consummated - liberated – set free!

Premium Member Did You Ever

Did you ever look at empty space and imagine
The brilliance that structured its existence
Did you ever call your best friend by the same
Rotten name he just called you

Did you ever fear for your being, knowing your
Ultimate end could be in a minute, in a snap
Did you ever watch a kid circle under a lazy
Fly ball and glove-block its earthbound path

Did you ever love a puppy so much you couldn’t
Sleep without checking him eleventy-four times at night
Did you ever plow the earth and smell God’s gift to man
And talk the next crop up and growing

Did you ever race your friends and run until your lungs screamed
Falling down laughing at victory or defeat
Did you ever watch a spider slowly spin a perfect web
With his patience uninterrupted by your insistence of contrariety

Did you ever call the night-wind to hush
To stillness and lay sandy-eyed waiting
Did you ever accept or reject the norms
Crammed at you or ignore their existence

Did you ever battle yourself with ideas and judgments
That no man can answer and still seek your solutions
Did you ever simply say hello to a perfect stranger
And realize that you are the strange one

Did you ever sit in the grass yard of the post office
And watch the smothered stares of strangers
Did you ever stop to realize that success to one is failure
To another and your words rattle empty to set minds

Did you ever wish for a chance you’ll never have
Realizing you would have succeeded fully
Did you ever feel the grip loosen in spite of all your
Efforts and wonder about tomorrow

Did you ever thank God for your ability to question
To learn, to be human
Did you ever watch an infant think, the wheels turn
And the language of thought distorted

Did you ever try to express your opinion
To one who will not listen.
Did you ever listen when wise men talked
Yet incorporated their wisdom only in painful acceptance

Did you ever wonder what your Mom and Dad
Were like at age twelve
Did you ever wonder what you
Were like at age twelve

Did you ever wish for others to be happy, really happy
But they never are no matter what you do
Did you ever wish for peace but realize
That tranquility is fleeting and temporary

Premium Member Be Not What You Think You Are But Who You Are

Faith is conceptual belief
and like heaven itself
it needs no proof
as it transcends time, place,
history, culture and space.
Yet, as faithful as we may be,
we are not of heaven
but are beings of the earth—
Unable to divorce ourselves
from the experiences of time, place,
history, culture or perceived cosmic space.

Life is an earthbound reality
perceived and lived in time, place,
history, culture and space.
And liberation is not what we think
but what we must fight to ensure to be—
To merely seek, ask and knock
is as conceptual as faith is; whereas
fought for and won liberation
is the result of the reality of perceived truth:
you shall know the truth and the truth
shall set you free—free your mind and you are
not just what you think you are but who you are.

P.S:  To think thoughts is one thing;
         to actualize them is another thing.
         Reality is not a concept but an actuality.

I walk around to and fro
I have no home so I roam
My existence is meaningless
And I can't reach him
Something separates us
A strong force won't let me near him
Why can't I touch him?
He looks so very sad
My heart is aching and breaking
Something is wrong
All of a sudden like a flood
The memories came back
He is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde
He did this to me, it his fault
I told him to seek help for his demons
I thought loving him would cure him
Alone in our home he changed
right before my very eyes
He told me how much he loved me
as he choked the very life out of me
I am in love with a monster and
I alone took that terrible and deep
dark secret to my grave

The Shearing of An Ego

A man who'd crowned himself a vainglorious king,
'twas filled with foolish pride and never-ending need
to be revered with loud praises, heard in echoes ring.
Ego plowed the fields in his mind, planting that seed,
and he cared not if bitter words made hearts bleed.

Though smug notions danced in his swelled head,
his smile withered; lips quivered as a teardrop fell,
for he found himself lamentably, alone in his bed.
Conceit was his pillow, to romance he'd bid farewell.
In the depths of narcissism, he was bound to dwell.

His inflated vanity kept everyone at arm's length.
To be worshipped from afar, true love was never found
until the night Delilah's whispers sheared his strength.
Her love took his breath away until he nearly drowned
in her eyes. Fallen off his pedestal, he was earthbound.

No longer did he stride about like a cock-of-the-walk.
His pompous attitude shattered into shards of glass,
and his tongue stopped wagging with self-loving talk.
A change of countenance made him a better man. Alas,
he was reborn with humility by the kiss of a wee lass.

His love for her had rendered soft his haughty ways,
shearing away the wooly facade of his disdainful soul.
A demeanor of meekness, his sentiment now displays,
a nascent change, his ego defeated with self-control.
He's admired by many; his modest virtues they extol.

The hubris king stepped down from his lofty throne
and became a man who was valued and respected.
The only boasting he did was about a family of his own
and was so well-liked that as mayor he was elected.
A humble attitude altered his life, once 'twas corrected.

Premium Member Night Owl

The owls are back, they talk in the night
I try to discern their language of flight

There's much there to learn if I could interpret
But my mind is earthbound, much as I might work it

Some feathers sing and some cry out loud
But the owls are selective, they don't like a crowd

They talk to each other in a voice I would capture
If I could but learn the language of raptor

Still my mind is earthbound and lacking insight
I admire and ponder this language of flight

I've never seen them, my vision is dim
They leave me, believe me, out on a limb

The dogs complain, they don't like them much
But their visit is short and then back to their clutch

There's a rabbit that lives here, under the shed
But he's keeping quiet, and keeping his head

The black cat is blending somewhere in the night
He knows his survival depends on his sight

And I lie bedridden, depending on sleep
My flight not so fancy as that of the sweep

Milky Way dream spots

“sight for sore eyes tinsel rapt”
“galaxies galore.” Mum beamed

My peepers wept dams

Premium Member Love Heals All Wounds

“we continue to play the game of hurt and revenge
until suffused with love by forgiveness we transcend”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Slipping into a lucid dream sequence,
I found myself by a child accosted
narrating trauma of lost innocence,
unable by prayer be placated,
revenge sought for being violated.
I took the child into future lifetimes,
wherein hatred melted in love sublime,
unconditional forgiveness the way
to exit fully karmic wheel of time,
becoming a bliss mist, ceasing to sway.
The child then departed, thus fully healed
but the pedophile who was there froze still,
for he too needed to joy and love feel,
choosing to be reshaped on the anvil,
surrendering being to divine will.
Surreal was the dream, true and lifelike,
wisdom download, being that Gods love spike
must be imbibed fully to heal all wounds,
percolating deep into our psyche,
consciousness then free, no longer earthbound.
Premium Member Golden Climate Values
JudeoChristian monotheists,
from fundamental conservationists
on back to radical creolizing multiculturists
inspiring nature-spirit co-revolutions,
declare YHWH to be unchanging,
in constant loving relationship with planet Earth
and all EarthTribes
And therefore constant integrity,
synergy,
creativity,
regenerativity,
macaronically iconized as creolizing fertility.
Mystics and prophets,
seers and heretics,
science-fiction and deep ecology writers,
teach a more complex view.
God as constantly unchanging Change,
both restoratively therapeutic
and retributively traumatic Processor,
co-arising regenerative flows of Win-Win nutritional history
with degeneratively evaporating energy.
Mahatma Gandhi
and many others after,
and probably before, him
taught and mentored
Become the Change today
you long for Earth's Change tomorrow.
So,
putting all this theology and ethology together,
if God is constant ClimateChange
and Gandhian mentors are wise
to advocate our becoming Beloved Change today,
right and left within this timeless NOW,
then this would be another way of saying
and doing
We could all cooperate better
as polypathic, yet with merely mortal EgoMemories,
descendents of Elder gods and goddesses
polyculturally co-creating restorations
healing Earth's sacred growing ClimateChange,
CoMessiahs
who are also,
in this limited atmanic
EarthBound
ecoHeaven-At-Hand sense,
Bodhisattvas restoring
Ego/EcoJustice CoMentorships,
within as without,
as below, so above
Karma-yogis
practicing
humility of EarthLove--yagna multicultural embracing praxis,
compassion of positive faiths, truths, trusts--tapas co-empathic disciplines,
generosity of cooperative hope--dana GoldenRule social pragmatism.
And of these three,
the greatest diastatic culmination
is Love.
Which some may see as Golden Matriotic EarthDay dreams
and ultra-violet
by dualdark competing nightmare-powers
of constant ClimateChange.
