Down the gradient of meandering verdant valley
Draining down the dregs of the fading dusk
Beyond the threshold of the wild woods thick
My white stallion gallops in the emerald prairie.
Gossamer gloss sparkles on the supple skin
Wisps of silky cloud swirl on the satin mane
Tossing on swinging waves of the south wind
The equine beauty canters out of my heart.
Bent blades of jade grass sway in sinuous ruffle
In sync with the rhythm of the bolting ivory grace
The tilted hooves hover in the transfixed air
Panorama of motion captured in sublime silence.
Soaked in twilight glow we cross the last pasture
Floating on cascading spectrum of the setting sun
Beyond the glowing horizon of grandeur I see
The portal of heaven opens for my horse and me.

At his readiness, medley reduced to romance
Pure patched with strategy, pony Rosinanthe
Slick sleuth rotund from a thousand tutorials
Ideality frisked into quixotic filly deplorable
Avid lover Danton handles haggard hill driven
Hoof throb corruption chorales sin's provision
Ever after mantra mashed into lurid intervals
Putrid piebald frames racecourse, analytical
Etching on ranch entrance, ostler is cognizant
Required for pyxis stamina, rubies resplendent
Camofluer canters to sumer anonymous rural
Damsel plans her Danton's conclusion brutal
Mid August Triumphant Lament
Swirling within the Perfume of mirage
As dawn dances down moss hung lanes
Through the silky Poise of camouflage
Canters ebony steeds with Platinum manes
Returning her heart to the salt rimmed Quay
Where that final morning, her sailor stood
Softly beseeching her to come away
With him to the sea, leave her land for good
Between her Quandary of need and pride
She fled to her castle of Quaint stone
Her Quiver of doubt too urgent to hide
Though in the space of oceans, she could have grown
Now she walks the lost shores of faint duets
Her steps weighted by Penance of regrets

“The sage does whatever
appears to be done
without thinking of good or bad
His actions are those of a child”
Heart over head
Agendaless exuberance
No talks with Ted
Childlike innocence

Verse 18.49 revisited on 11-February-2022
As we pause
The cause
Of thought
Ego begot
Bliss enters
Heart canters
Going without fuss
Where God takes us
As joy currents spear
There is no one here
Save essence of presence
Vibrancy of innocence
Love suffused
No longer bemused
Thought and action
Employs love for traction
With pure intent
Heart luminescent
There is no karma
For love’s our dharma
I am moving in and out of these animated lies,
Silver linings now sagging shadows
Burning desires now dimming coals
How did I ever become so fixated
On such unreliable light?
It is the demon of doubt that reigns tonight
It’s got all the strings to the puppetry
Raising its arms to smite all joy
Condemning our souls to dull life’s shine
Where are you now,
My swelling source of hope?
Why do your eyes wander
Where danger canters?
Trotting on soils dried by the sun
My reason for living
Now my reason for moaning
Its dragging me by the hair now
Telling me to take refuge on its stage
So it can play us over and over
Succumbing to its pathetic goals
To its putrefying plans
All I ever wanted was a place I can feel
A place I can feel
At home
I don’t know how that feels
As I seek all these thrills
I still don’t know how that feels
Hearts unfulfilled desire, the causation
Ensouling form, that we may feel contrast
Pulsations; contraction and expansion
Memory erased, our soul here aghast
Dark dungeons of delusion veiling light
Destiny unfolding, as of die cast
Dreams seem real, offering fleeting delight
Yet we feel within, deep discontentment
For light of day, dies in shadows of night
Disillusioned, we seek joy permanent
Plunging headlong into our heart centre
Wherein we sense, the vibrant bliss current
Distanced now, from idle ego banter
We just be to become, with Gods love one
As innate aliveness within canters
Within cave of heart, shines the golden sun
Go there oh hermit, lower mind undone

The bright lights flair, outshine the stars.
Your laughter leads me in their sway,
Past ticket booths and candy jars.
We miss our footing, hand in hand,
Leaving the rat-race far away,
We fall like children, down the sand.
The carousel spins horse and mane,
Prances and canters on display
To "Yippee!", "Yahoo!", once again.
The roller coaster swirls its arc,
Climbs up, then drops, without delay,
Leaving our screams, lost in the dark.
The Ferris wheel turns crystal pods,
Stealing our breath with its display
Of all the lights, beheld by gods.
The gates swing shut, the lights burn low,
Yet we still yearn to ride and play,
For lovers, tumble as they go.
before we amble
muse upon the preamble
that entity ascension seeking
is encased in mind body matrix limiting
we have for engagement two polarities
external turbidity internal serenity
former is domain of our ego
latter love osmosis slow
on an as is where is basis
we begin with our body chassis
going in within into our heart center
gently feeling so intuiting how joy canters
desires beget thought as of our affirmation
birthing dream worlds as manifestation
cessation then our path optimal
beholding within a miracle
silent witness our presence
senses stirrings of love innocence
felt distinctly in form as magnetic heat
ineffable throb of rapture that has us upbeat
a word of caution here about the energy path
unless each nuance felt as a holy sabbath
aspect acceptant thoughts decadent
cannot navigate the bliss precinct
ego grasps whilst love connects
thus our stance within must be erect
head and heart melded in quiet alignment
resonating with our conscience in contentment
reworded we may say that we must fully let go
of attachment borne cravings of our ego
for we are not this limited mind body
engulfed in narrowness shoddy
back to business joy magnetism
expands slowly bridging all chasms
chakras many but lets not instrumentalise
our child within delighting in unfolding surprise
suffice to mention once blockages are clear
throb of bliss within each pore spears
we be to become bliss essence
radiating love fragrance

A claret mare,
slips through the lightless fields…
do I follow or does it follow me?
Milkweed drifts in the wind,
its intricacies caught in silence,
severed from any place of root or home,
do they know where they belong?
I drift, catatonic,
pulled toward a vague horizon
as if some austere hand grants favor -
or am I only imagining it?
Branches bow with dew,
a vessel of morning
in which the world seems briefly paused,
or is it always this still,
and I too blind to see?
Cherry blossoms, pale against gray…
hang like thoughts too fragile to speak.
I breathe.
The mare canters on,
and I, silent,
melt into the passing haze,
wondering if I will ever know
what carries me forward.

A cowboy ain't got no use fer the trappin's uv a meetin' house affiliation,
In which to commune with the Lord to git his religious inspiration!
He won't be corralled by a staid and sanctimonious congregation.
He's free to wrangle his spiritual grub from God's Grand Creation!
He ain't got no need fer a fancy altar er them hard-backed pews,
And he won't squirm fer hours as the preacher expounds upon his views!
The great outdoors is his cathedral where he can worship ever' day.
He lifts his eyes to the hills whence comes strength frum across the way!
The Lord provides music with the thunder rumblin' across the range,
Along with the tenor uv a ripplin' stream as it meanders through the grange.
The risin' sun warms his soul as his hoss canters across the plains.
The splendid sunsets are more stunnin' than any uv them glass-stained panes!
He ain't worried about enterin' a church to be met by a contemptuous sigh,
Jes' 'cause he ain't dressed proper in a three-hundred dollar suit and tie!
The Lord welcomes him in His cathedral with his scruffy boots and jeans.
With his sweat-stained shirt and old slouch hat, he's considered a man of means!
He ain't impressed with majestic naves, apses, transepts and sech things.
His sanctuary is the splendor uv the universe and the blessin's that it brings!
His pew is his saddle where he bows his head in reverent adoration,
Knowin' that frum the grandest cathedral of all, He'll hear his supplication!
