Perfume Mirage

Swirling within the Perfume of mirage
As dawn dances down moss hung lanes
Through the silky Poise of camouflage
Canters ebony steeds with Platinum manes
Returning her heart to the salt rimmed Quay
Where that final morning, her sailor stood
Softly beseeching her to come away
With him to the sea, leave her land for good
Between her Quandary of need and pride
She fled to her castle of Quaint stone
Her Quiver of doubt too urgent to hide
Though in the space of oceans, she could have grown
Now she walks the lost shores of faint duets
Her steps weighted by Penance of regrets

Wow, this is so fluid and beautiful. It will be difficult for others to come up with something as lovely as your example.

.... Very eloquent, packs a medieval punch.... I read your poem twice before connecting the Q requirement... It conjures sadness for the maiden.... Unfortunately common scenario.... Congratulations ahead of your sure Win, Michelle.!
