The Choice

We all held each other, laughing and cheering,
Jumping and smiling, with out a care in the world.
We were the guards to a gateway of extravaganza
A fun filled oasis, a chance to grow, a chance to develop.
We were the hub of life its self ;things were just well and overwhelmingly swell

Soon we lost our humility and gained vanity further building a path for instability
We had a chance to own our future but we chose to give it up
It all started when they came. A blessing and a curse looking for
acceptance amongst us.
Her eyes blinded us, her poise lured us and her smile mesmerized us.
We felt he! wasn't up to our standard, he didn't have the class, he wasn't cut out

We chased him away, rejected him like an orphan child whose best friend is social isolation.
Without any loving sensation. This was clearly the end of our nation. She told us 'a world is better when we think of our self'.
'Think of you and nobody else'.
And so a seed was sown
An action was reaped
The action was sown
A habit was reaped
The habit was sown
An Identity was reaped
The great plan of our defeat is still in motion but a generation has dared to ask the question "where is he?"
The instigator of a strong foundation
The builder of a prosperous nation
He had a longer but better plan
One of creative utilization and adequate projection.
But Instead we tuned our minds to her frequency to see what only she sees
She is willing to give us a short cut at any cost
Forfeit her dignity to give us all kinds of credibility
We were driven with lust
But at what cost.
Now it is clear,
Our eyes are opened
Now our heart aches, we have lost more than we can attain
Our bonds with her we must break , even if defeat is certain
What we need now is a believer
A tough minded optimist
A bringer of hope
A lover of peace
Someone who can turn our direction around
One with a frown that is always upside down.
One we know is clearly fit for the crown
Go, flee, find him today and save us now.

Change in life, our choice to live or die within
A soul's burning desire for completeness
Sometimes we can lose sight easily
A surrender to society wicked ways
In us all the same, heart beats life
A child instituted beneath the soul
Hidden from the world they live
Beating, my life vein throbs existence
Only in ourselves can we make the world
Only in oneself do we live a world befeallan to us
Where is it I love deeply in depths of my being
How to love except we ourselves are love
It is there in the depths of darkness soul emerges
Where people walk the same dreams they fight
To look deep in the soul, to perfect perfection is change
What is it we live but do not enjoy the inspiration
A crossroads of time's distance travel
You stop and smell the flowers
A time, a break from realities truth
The meaning of life, who are we
Is there purpose or just to live and die
What is it we see a better life for the future
Where is it we see our children, our faith, our hope
Our destiny, becoming of life
For what is a man that he does not live
His journey be only vain, unreal
To conquer is to achieve initiative
Wages of life break even the strongest
What is it about love so strong
Essence of her fragrance alone is love itself
Beauty of the beast, to love is to be devoured
The spirit speak, there I soar
I come fast I roll hard
Chances and choices be made
I not here to condemn the world but it be saved
Tho I walk the shadows of life its darkness
Who I am is strong and will mind
My souls dying thirst for life I breathe
Unbroken I fail to fall to my knees
Unbroken I dare to fold under the earth
I will not die that which I become
But believe light shows heart
I should love even in dark

New Orleans, Louisiana: Aka the Big Easy

What's go great about New Orleans, Louisiana, is that of its jazz music and its voodoo culture. The city has been known as "The Big Easy" since the 1800s. It seems that all of the tourists from across the United States have considered New Orleans their favorite vacation spot. There's always a Mardi Gras every day, we've got people throwing beads at each other, jazz musicians playing their instruments (the saxophones, trumpets, etc.), and people dress in costumes every single day. But what's so great about New Orleans, Louisiana, most of all is that when spring breakers come to the city for spring break, even when they're still going to college. Everybody knows that the Big Easy is also known for its Cajun cooking, especially when the chefs are known for making a lot of jambalaya, gumbo, and a lot of Cajun foods. And what's so great about New Orleans, Louisiana, is when MTV was there, especially when the MTV network executives had been recording episodes of "The Real World:" one back in 2000, the other was back in 2010. New Orleans, Louisiana, is the strongest city in America, even though it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina back in August 2005. But the famous street best known by New Orleans, Louisiana, most of all is the French Quarter and and one of New Orleans' favorite landmarks is the St. Louis Cathedral. And the New Orleans Arena and the Louisiana Superdome are home to the New Orleans Hornets (NBA-National Basketball Association) and the New Orleans Saints (NFL-National football League). Even the late Louis Armstrong was from the city. Well, I hope to go to New Orleans, Louisiana, one day. And if the City of New Orleans were to stay on the map for a long time, it's going to be like a Mardi Gras on a Saturday night and Fat Tuesday in the afternoon.

Twist and Turns

Twists And Turns

Sometimes we
 Get let down
With all the twist
And turns in life
To keep your head
 Above water
You are ready and
 Determine to fight
You find the cost
 To feed your family
Is more than you can bear
And the worries shows on
Top of your head
With black and grey hair

You try to keep up with
The browns afraid of
 Being left behind
You can’t afford that
Big white house
You don’t even
 Have a dime
Your wife is on
 Your back and
Your baby needs
 A pair of shoes
You find yourself in
So much trouble and
Now you got the blues

Your job doesn't
 Pay enough money
So now you are talking
 About leaving
When you think you
 Got it under control
This week you
Didn't break even
Now your kids are sick
From playing out in the cold
Little Johnny has a fever
With a red and runny nose
You feel bad inside because
Others have money to burn
Hospital garnish your check
Because you had no insurance

You bow your head
 With a honest heart
Fighting tears as you pray
Sleepless nights, teary eyes
Believing there must be a way
Because life takes away
Whatever you earn
With all its twist and turns
Now you wonder
 How some can make it
And other can hardly stand
Half supporting your family
Makes you feel less of a man

You can’t stand the pressure
So you want to go back home
There are times in the day when
You prefer to be left alone
So you figured out that life
Waits patiently for no one
A lesson that is well learned
And life doesn't play fair
With all its twists and turns

The Grey Ones

The fight between good and evil,
Ongoing, constant.
Many write about black and white,
Yin, yang.
These are young,
Those who have lived know
The Grey.
A rope between these poles.
A rope, true identity.
Black, white,
Two halves, both in one.
Only recognition of the Grey make one.
This chosen species,
So smart, so beautiful - so young.
It forgets its youth,
The Grey Ones,
Defined by living, not dates.
The Grey, young, can judge, wrong.
The Grey, mistakes, covet guilt,
No matter the cowardice felt in shame.
Not all is lost though.
These must recognize the instincts,
They and all species have.
All kinds simply make the call
They can with what is given, seen, known.
The Grey differ,
Differ in mind.
Intelligence, knowledge, can lie.
The Grey’s minds can seperate from Nature - self.
Minds expect forgiveness from past,
Yet cannot forgive.
The hardest thing to do in this world,
To live.
So live, continue, struggle, fight.
But breathe.
Breathe, break, even shortly, from the mind
To live a better path.
Struggle is a part of the Grey,
Good white, Evil black.
Acceptance of the rope between.
Be not one of the selves,
Be all of the selves.
Admittance to wrong choices,
No matter the right of the past.
Forgiveness, let go,
Past is come and flown.
Apologize, forgive,
Laugh at this youthful species.
Love the Grey.
White, black,
The pull between - The Grey Ones.

Anxiety

Why do I get anxious thoughts that flow like an endless river

in my veins and in my mind.

Hard to control worries all tangled up getting everywhere,

Why does Anxiety Blur the lines,

So I cannot see or think clearly in my mind

It makes me feel insecure and self conscious like everyone knows what I am Thinking,

I hide behind a Concrete smile that cannot break even if I feel broken inside.

The Pieces get shattered around but I find ways to get through the storm,

even on the darkest Days, Writing is my therapy to express what my heart yearns

to say, even when I cannot speak the words seep out to release the feelings

to Stop me breaking down when no-one is around.

Anxiety changes who I am and who I want to be,

as when ANXIETY Calls it makes me dislike

the person I am, I don't feel like Me.

Anxiety why can't You see how much You

Control and take over me

in my mind

I feel overwhelmed by the lies you make me

believe, Anxiety Decieves and tricks My Mind

until I lose all Confidence in my abilities and fall into a pit!

I will Never let myself just sit and drowned in a sea

of Self Pity!

Anxiety I will take Control and Get my Life Back and Become

the Person I was Desperately Meant and Want to Be!
Anxiety You No Longer
Own Me!!!

Uneven Heart

When a heart brakes it doesn’t break even
Just like a parachute my words were force to moved
By the wind into a physical absent dimension
                                          You said I wouldn’t break
But here am picking up pieces, off the ground
Just like an iced tipped diamond my heart was fragile
You flashed the love I had for the person I ones knew as my universe
So here is an early valentine gift
A black rose and a dead foetus
Dry cursed and sucked out peaches
Through my warm comfort I covered your body with my jacket
You rather brought back a thousand devil send lightning’s
To strike from the apex right up to my arteries
                                       My heart separated unequal
                                              My love fall down
As hatred engulfed the surface of my bandaged broken heart
                                    I was left with a pre-meditated conclusion

Into the Storm -- Part 2

INTO THE STORM (PART 2) (…continuation)

On this ocean we are just a wooden speck
We have no choice, for the wind has us by the tail
Like a dog seizes a rat and shakes it to break neck.
All sails are in but we are toyed with by the gale:
This struggle may break even, but if we should fail…….

Near-devoured in the maw of death around her deck
By torrents of shark-toothed scends angered,
We drop into our grave every time she is checked:
The chasms of darkness hold only blackness, watered
And seething under the black clouds of fierce hatred.

The decks are steep….stop me reaching the lifeline ahead to the bridge.
Miss the line....oh Jesus ….no, not now!……I‘m not ready to go!
Slo-mo sister is waiting…..mother…..dad….the unfinished garden hedge
Swept into waves……filled nose.…no air….down, blackness…the end….No!
No! A hand opens the sea and I grab it, spewing water, and bellow….

Mum is holding my hand and asking me what the bellowing is about.
My bed is warm, sheets are rumpled…..bad dream, fingers a-quiver.
She asks me about it….I can’t remember….I clutch her hand in doubt.
My windows clatter with the wind, she chatters, I believe her -
About the storm all night, when I was sick with a high fever.

Be ye a temple to thyself,
be plain and simple right off the shelf,

or be a Mayan of long ago,
a calendar odds that stole the show,

Be here a while and gone the next,
if you have felt your life being hexed,

these venues of opportunity,
hexing snooze to possibility,

Be heedful of the portal,
since your existence was made immortal,

soul peradventures a righteous cause,
be it the moon or faraway Mars,

Be the creator, make with the muse,
these, doors and gates your point of views,

a tune o'er an opera house,
a suite harmony quiets the schoolhouse,

Be of the arts, if not Mozart, then ...
Van Gogh, Cezanne, Monet even,

said portal, 'tis a gift for the mind
entertained, enlightened, and refined,

Be out that great door, and simply explore,
unlike Poe's dear sweet Lenore,

that raven made Poe feel poor,
the portal's key, he'll be free forevermore,

Be Poe and Lenore, forevermore,
sans that raven, evens the score,

that portal answers your questions,
bear your confessions, free from transgressions,

Behold the truth, the truth of it all,
that gate, that door, so-called, portal,

there's more to life than just break-even,
that portal is … your way to heaven.

Not Long

it won't take long at all.
it won't take long for u to see that you have hands to feel but then you made it and issue when you drop something but something you can still pick.
some can't even bend down.
they want to dive to the sky but they need enough words to do that.
it won't take long for u to see we are losing it, when we have hands to hold each other but you push away with it.
while some are dying to hug.
it won't take long my love for you to see am handsome enough to stay alive.
some have died and they not coming back.
I loved Michael Jackson but it don't take long for me to realise that he his not coming back, I had to move on.
stop playing break even with me, don't be cold and worm.
some have little time even to spend saying sorry.
it won't take long for you to realise that I could be kissing you with that lips not cursing you.
let me hug you when I can.
let me say sorry when it not late.
don't let waste our youth on lustful thinking.
God is fair love.
we just play games past our time before we even realise.
