she pips in fear for lateness like her peers,

hauteur cloaked with reticence,

her-boo-boo-vague, though walled around and palpable

official Narcissist disguised in rude affronts

Bravado of naughtiness in candour yet tacit

“Free me to free me”, rants in melancholy

as ignorance upsets sorts of sort

Insensibility of differentiating as angels often tastes the gall

By routines of cataract long glare

Sends nostalgia down their spines

Though forgetting the milk and candies of supposed rivals

Doubling as friends in conning angst beggarly in their nature

Nagging and ganging a gang of gossipers

Finding Mutual grounds for their victims

Causing higgledypiggledy where there exist no war

For a suspected compromise of morals

Or a hunting taint of a past paints on Z walls

Where decorum is not a schoolmaster

As official time wastes in visits to motels at un-break break time

With holy bible at desk view to mask hypocrisy

First venerable “Etis” Migrants tasted buds of vinegary as noised by witnessing chauffeur

And guilt cautioned not her thigh with an avalanche of showy attire of a seductress

advertorials of “buried innocence” jagged in curved carbuncle front and back

Banging shoes in unending visits secreted in kitchen

double-faced, loud calls to clients for managerial gratitude

as empty office fill vacuums of fast quickie (sharp-sharp) appointments arranged or rearranged

Ill-mannered, bad-tempered not marriageable, never listen, never patient making enemies

Commandeering, verbose, self-conceited, presumptuous, stout and arrogant

Bidding For Brands

Boohoo is bidding for Boo-Boo
But Yogi’s not seeking a deal,
He’s scanning the park for a picnic
Looking forward to his evening meal.

Warner Brothers deny their involvement
So investors are kept in the dark,
But rumours are spreading ’round Bedrock
And the restrooms of Jellystone Park.

Boohoo is bidding for Boo-Boo,
It’s becoming a sought-after brand;
For Yogi it’s deeply upsetting
And he’s drawing a line in the sand.

This fetish for gobbling-up trademarks
Is addictive - a turbulent torrent,
So the trustees of Hanna-Barbera
Have rescinded Mister Ranger’s warrant.

Boohoo is loving the limelight,
Printing posters to boast of expansion.
Directors are driving round Dorset
Seeking out an available mansion.

Animated heroes fall silent,
Suppressing their deep-seated rage,
They’ve vowed to stop buying new costumes,
Thought bubbles stay blank on the page.

Snagglepuss is sacking his agent
Whose alibi soon fell to pieces,
Wacky Races have cancelled two meetings
Though Mister Jinks is still chasing meeces.

Huckleberry Hound is blue in the face,
So upset that he’s leaving his kennel tea.
Boohoo’s directors have not thought this through,
Analysts think they’ll soon pay a penalty.

Now Matalan, Primark and Peacocks
Are struggling hard to pay rates,
They see this young upstart named Boohoo
Just sealing competitors’ fates.

The Jetsons are locked in a hangar
Refusing to talk to the press,
While Cindy is comforting Yogi
Because bears aren’t accustomed to stress.

Just how many trademarks are needed
To cater for everyone’s tastes?
With so many trend-setters in lockdown
Periodically measuring waists.

The Jellystone team is downhearted
When they note that admissions are down,
With Boohoo now trashing their legacy
It’s the first time they’ve seen Muttley frown!

Yes, Boohoo is bidding for Boo-Boo,
It’s becoming a sought-after brand;
For Yogi it’s deeply upsetting
And the prospects for fashion seem bland.

Premium Member I See You

I see you
Eyes as soothing and true
A calming voice
Needed amongst the bustling noise
I see you
My life is not through
I cannot move
But you are keeping me cool
I see you
I am scared here
I need the comfort like a stuffed teddy bear
I see you
Earlier today I was a fool
Trying something I was not supposed to do
But you are here not on a break
Tending to those who are starting to wake
First thing one sees
Coming out of the darkness minus the colorful dreams
A bright light
Due to the reality of sight
Triggering an honest feeling to let out a scream
If you know what I mean
Then I see you
And the calming image too
Days later in my hospital bed
Feeling grateful that I am not in the morgue, dead
I watch the Hudson River boats
Knowing this situation was not my fault
Getting ready to go home
To recuperate from these broken bones
I see you
After that serious boo boo
I was alone
And you had that healing tone
I see you
And I am back healthy studying at school

Cheeky baby swagger

Coocoo doodle I do,
Not every day I coo,
What Mum can do, I can –
My skin needs a sun tan.

My hair with homemade curls,
My makeup shines like pearls.
I'm just a baby, see,
Acting adult, maybe.

Bring napkins for wee-wee,
Ensure fun flows for free.
Tie me nappies for poo.
And bandage my boo-boo.

Baby guys will whistle,
Love – their own epistle.
While I sway my bum-bum,
Left to right like my mum.

Coocoo doodle I do,
Not every day I coo,
What Mum can do, I can –
My skin needs a sun tan.

No high-heeled shoes to wear,
I'd still swagger with flair.
I'm a baby with style,
Can't stop this cheeky smile.

storm, weight of rain sloshes
o’er the sides of the acrylic tub
thunder of strobe, eyes blinking
slashes of screams, disaster —
utterance of lips, gutteral
door jammed, eye to eye contact
with the lion and lamb; the owl
on heights of despair interrogates,
scrutinizes, eyeballs the blood seas,
sees all, inspects your history,
his and his too, talons tapping.

outside the storm-beset sanctuary
enlightenment, smoky decanter,
revolt against rage, mercy seeks
mercy great, dumbo’s ears all wet,
humbling effect, spirit genuflect

running, running, out of breath
entangled in net, unseen drooling
at achilles tendon, heel’s devotion

genuflection at soaked-white tow’r,
emptied of a mother’s call, deliver’d
a newborn once more — water
breaking, agony of childbirth

the ruination of seeds, road rage
— off course; after impregnation
of tumbling weeds, g.p.s turned off

God is greater than all this. Later
it seems frivolous. Weight was great —
shoulder-pounding, tremulous.

But He comforts us
as if we had a boo-boo —
God, great and wonderful
cleanses the germs
thoroughly, applies bandaid,
kisses the wound; also
the forehead

mother’s heart and stomach
patched; her seething brain
restored to sanity

God moved
the husband’s hand to phone
softened hearts of stone
punishment was puny

Three cords intertwined
A fourth runs through and through
Spirit of release and joy

the Lord allows not
the ruination of a mother’s soul;
pulls her close — nose to nose
with the lion, lamb and owl

she can only smile now

Premium Member A Mother

All mothers of this planet has given a painful birth to us.
They are extremely delighted to hold you in their arms.
Yes, mothers, they were born to give all they are for just a smile.
They are vigilant in protecting you from any harm.
They worry when you are out of their sight.
Even if you were adopted, they will always love you.
Yes, mothers can be very stern to their children when they misbehave.
They know that discipline will help you to survive this dangerous life.

When you are on your own, mothers will always worry about you.
wondering and anxiously waiting to hear or see you.
To run to you with open arms and smother you with kisses.
Even her son or daughter’s children, she wants to love them as she loved you.
A mother is calm when you are crying because of a boo boo or a broken heart.
She will hold you in her arms without saying a word and all will be right.
She wipe every tear from your eyes with a smile and a loving hug.
She delights in any gift that you made and put it on her refrigerator of honor.
At night, mother will look in on you and smile at her cherished loved ones.

Escaping In a Cartoon World

In afternoons I would escape
With cartoons like the Grape Ape
Lounging with my teddy bear
Snacks and goodies we would share
My warm P.J's soft to touch
How I miss those days so much
No worries, concerns, or cares
Laughing till I started tears
From the antics on T.V.
That entertained teddy and me
Bugs, Tweety, Sylvester too
Kept me tranced the whole day through
Porky Pig, Yogi, and Boo Boo
Watching them I grew and grew
Pixie and Dixie-- Chip and Dale
Every weekend without fail
How I miss my younger days
And all of the innocent ways
I had fun and didn't worry
Now each day I'm in a hurry
To keep up with life each minute
And all the craziness in it

Written: January 1st, 2026 / Music is uploaded to accompany these lyrics

          ***********

[Verse 1]

Hey boo boo
The rain was the first thing I heard today,
Your beat remains, a quiet thrum in my chest.
I don’t know why it felt so strange—
Like time was a thread we almost let rest.
But something inside me finally opened,
a truth I had hidden too long.
Wherever the night pulls your shadow,
That’s where my spirit belongs.

[Pre-Chorus]
No one can measure the hours,
No one can promise the dawn.
So I’m gonna hold you a little bit closer,
as if every moment is borrowed.

[Chorus]
If the sky fell quiet, I’d stay with you.
If the lights all faded, I’d stay with you.
Let the world keep turning, or let it fall through—
I’d still choose the warmth of your breathing.
Stay until the stars come down,
stay until the stars come down.
I’d stay with you.

[Verse 2]
When the world gets loud, we lose our way,
We miss the mercy that lies under decay.
But you are the quiet in my choice,
The light that keeps the dark at bay.
And even when the winds seem to break us,
I believe that we might survive.
Your name is the place I often return to,
The heartbeat that ensures me I'm alive.

[Pre-Chorus]
Nothing is written forever,
nothing is promised to stay.
So I’m gonna love you with all that I carry,
As if this breath were the last one of the day.

[Chorus]
If the sky fell quiet, I’d stay with you,
If the lights all faded, I’d stay with you.
Let the world keep turning, or let it fall through—
I’d still choose the warmth of your breathing.
Stay until the stars come down,
stay until the stars come down.
I’d stay with you.

[Bridge]
Right here—
Where quiet is a song,
Where your hand erases shadows.
Right here—
where the delicate becomes bold,
And your heartbeat meets mine.

[Final Chorus]
If the world silent, I'd be right there,
If the stars went dark, I'd be right there.
Let the world keep turning, or let it fall through—
I’d still choose the warmth of your breathing.
Stay until the stars come down,
stay until the stars come down.
I’d stay with you. boo boo
