Escaping In a Cartoon World

In afternoons I would escape With cartoons like the Grape Ape Lounging with my teddy bear Snacks and goodies we would share My warm P.J's soft to touch How I miss those days so much No worries, concerns, or cares Laughing till I started tears From the antics on T.V. That entertained teddy and me Bugs, Tweety, Sylvester too Kept me tranced the whole day through Porky Pig, Yogi, and Boo Boo Watching them I grew and grew Pixie and Dixie-- Chip and Dale Every weekend without fail How I miss my younger days And all of the innocent ways I had fun and didn't worry Now each day I'm in a hurry To keep up with life each minute And all the craziness in it
