Spine-tingling,
       down the chute,
         gothic gutter trickle,
      black and blue fusion,
       stark signature tune,
    wee faint hour phantasm,
  mischievous melange,
   surreptitious in its,
    dimmed twinkle curfew,
     for post meridian,
  exodus egress,
   minstrel me chorister,
     shadow cape figurine,
      humming nose sniffle,
     spooky pale moon jingle,
 on dank drizzled docklands,
looping street lamp,
whose eerie surveillance,
   of claustrophobic canopy,
  an intriguing ice pole static,
    footsteps ricochet,
       in bone chill metre,
     following a stoic self,
      upon intricate,
    tangled torrent of,
     rudderless echos,
  sonic psyche figment,
in numinous nook,
star splatter sequence,
  chasing motley mirror,
   bilocation bold essence,
mutating fickle fragment,
   stygian bard I,
 smeared pocket-sized,
   snapshots of,
  my persimmon pursuits,
 on grubby granite graffiti wall,
     underneath ostracised,
  a wringing wet shawled,
 vagrant whose rusty tin,
I load with benign bolster coin,
    golden hearts synergize,
  in evanescent ebony,
   furtive flying bat
    squeak and scop,
      placid pools

Premium Member Fantasy Thinks

I think I dream far more often than I think.
I prefer not logic, but creative ink.
Rational thoughts go until they hit stop
while fantasies omit a bottom and top.
I think birds fly south ahead of winter’s cold
to continue playing where sun turns fun gold
and all bored Salmon fight their way upstream
because a vigorous swim ignites fertile dreams.
I think no living creature lives life nocturnal
due to daytime fact writing in their journal
but because they much prefer an active night
where heaven’s bright stars bolster dreams to ignite.
Seas dislike their textbook facts being all man knows,
so, clearly, I think I know why the ocean flows.

Dawn flings
A brand new light,
Joy sings
Of awesome sights

Wake up
To a new day
Fill cup
With happy play

Seize cheer
In sacred woods
Right here
Love tastes so good

Feel breeze
In windy touch
Fine squeeze
That tells so much

Sun glow
Brings lovely heat
Day shows
A lively treat

Sense truth
In floral tints
Glimpse proof
As true love mints

Birds sing
A glorious hymn
Tides bring
Wise flow of lymph

Pray then
With heart and soul
Just when
Love makes you whole

Give thanks
For blessings dear
No rank
Can bolster cheer

In time
Grand flavours surge
True chimes
Emerge to urge

Wise ways
Inspire fond dreams
Fine day
For fun to stream

Premium Member Pink Flamingo

Pink hue flamingo it must be due to all
the carotenoid pigments feasted on
algae and crustaceans
An elongated neck spirals
and filters such sensations
Sharing color is Okinawa salmon sushi,
bolster lobster and shrimp scrimp
Graceful qualifiers primp poised tropical dwellers
balancing effortlessly on one outstretched leg,
A ballerina’s pirouette in fuchsia tutus’
Statuesque stillness in shallow water
Rosette feathers flair flamboyance
Passionate plumage, blushing boas
Webbed feet tap and stamp below,
an aquatic burlesque show
The flamenco dance named after you
Rose-tinted creature tranquil, wader
Hook-billed blackened lamellae
sieved nobly, an intense look in a print
Cluster buster of pink with lengthy legs that sprint

The Pot Is Melting

The pot is melting...
The 'great melting pot'
This elaborately constructed pot holds a motley of colors and flavors
Once strong and pleasing to the eye, bustling with all of its aromatic juices, flavors, and textures
The great pot of RED, WHITE, and BLUE draws so many, and the few
Indigenous peoples and many others from great and small distances assimilate in this great pot
For a while, the cooking and eating were good, I mean pretty good
So good that still more ingredients desire to be added to this melting pot to bolster the flavor even more
But now, this great pot is disintegrating
Too hot now, is this pot
Too hot with deleterious elements that threaten the constitution of this great amalgamation
The pot is melting
The 'great melting pot'...
It is melting

A Lil' Nip

Son, please don't look at me with that cold stare and judge me when I twist the cap, pour a glass, and tilt my head gently.

Just know that I'm searching for a little relief and peace of mind. Unfortunately, in this world, peace can be hard to find.

No excuses! But life has a strange way of unfolding in all kinds of ways. It's going to test you, tempt you, beat you down, and humble you every day.

So, bolster up, my boy, and get to know the Most High. As you go through life, you’ll see and feel some unpleasant things, I won’t lie.

But there are also many beautiful things, like you. So always stay genuine, treat people right, and stay true.

I stayed away from the funny cigarettes, pills, powder, and needles. I'm not proud of my lil' nip, and I pray to the Most High that you never get involved in any of that as you face life's riddles.

So, son, don't look at me with disdain when you see me take a lil' nip. Just know I'll be back, but for now, I'm taking a quick lil' trip.

Tomorrow

Far off, it has begun to walk the planet,
first it must be buried in a nearby field,
while flights of dreams migrate
from unrealistic expectations.

Meanwhile,
worms' imperceptivity reshape reality.
Fresh perceptions
bloom like cherry trees in Death Valley
neglected vineyards are resuscitated
one vine at a time.

Tomorrow will show up darkly,
it may forestall or bolster,
we may only know for sure
when the roof of the sky is raised,
even so, night still roams somewhere
weeding out exhausted stems of light.

It is just diurnal time
dipping in and out of our eyes,
it’s only the ever displaced and ever prodigal
exchanging old and new testaments of hope
upon a circular racetrack,
one not at all of our making.

Premium Member Watering the Garden of Dreams

Our garden of dreams
     is a fertile one-
with roots buried deep
     in heart, soul, and mind.
They're nurtured beneath
     our hopeful sun rays-
but oft wither on
     dry paths to our goal.

They must be kept watered-
     moistened with life
by streams of commitment
     that bolster growth;
then splashed with the flow
     of fervor makes lush
those dreams that mature-
     fulfilling our vows.

Capital Bust

Pennilessness shadows black
unemployment endless track
rails tie-er less lee when dumbly staring
overdrawn account issues
   another clattering smack.

Income pleat undergraduate degree
contributed to the role of a sporadic employee
time to acquire handy dandy blues clues key
lost within vacillating undermining spree.

Mental state can be a precarious widget-like thing
directly at the whim of financial sliding swing
self-destruction demonic ring
courtesy of pauperism
delivers the destructive poisoned scorpion sting.

Immortal force of please hear my cry
provide support while
   under the sheltering sky
steady (just out of reach)
   sought income bolster up high

mirage vision brings transient delight
to this great (former
Civil War Yankee) supreme guy.

If no breakthrough I do not foresee
charity not for profit (but only prophet) I will bee
and this blurb carved outside my cave-like hovel
many moons and break of the day find me

imploring existential vagaries this baby boomer
sans middle-aged man who hankers to be free
thus though aye to be a schnorrer

who scrounges parking lots for scattered change
yet...decries blubbering the beggar's credo
write out a check and mail to me.

Philanthropic persons
may rightfully balk and get irate
at such brazen plea to squelch
   ma pecuniary financial state

yet where the crossroads of mine future
most likely crop up which
would cause far a tete a tete
meanwhile, stoicism bids me wait...
