You

"it'll blow over soon"....
Jahnger, my friend, to the end's of the earth, that's where you'll find me, see you
there..

and from
This solitary town
Lacking color
And creativity

and
you

I
Try to break this silence
And I find myself
Shouting my
Regrets
And goodbyes
To the loss of
You
You were the only man who could break through
And
My eyes have become so misty
With
The cold of this night’s air
And this goodbye’s
Sorrow.

It’ll blow over soon
This
Man wasn’t meant for you

To the ends of the earth
You will go
Heaven looks down upon you kindly,
Because I told it so
And
Rain will
Roll down your rich russet skin
Kissing your cheeks
Caressing your Chin
I am envious of the rain
that
is free to touch you whenenever it can

to the ends of the earth you will go
I will miss you more than you will ever know.

Hunker down, it'll blow over...
Unless it blows up

Into a storm that might drown us all
In a sea of lies from an ethos so small
It should all disappear 'neath a wave of disgust
In the wake of mistakes built on fakes and distrust

The ship's goin' down and the Captain can't sleep
With his thumb on the scale and his head in so deep
He could do root canal if he just had the tools
With his hands on the levers surrounded by fools

Those big floppy shoes won't fit on the brakes
But the car still accelerates, that's all it takes
To capture the flag, a checkered record games played all day
And soon he'll have given the whole game away

The bank's in the tank as well as the court
When you play with house money it cheapens the sport
You can gild ev'rything but you can't shame the lily
A flake that's so thin it just makes you look silly

The transparent uniform sported each day
Won't hide the cuneiform cankles on clay
The soft metatarsals will never hold up
Under increasing scrutiny, while you fish for scup

Floundering, foundering, drowning in lies
Scuppered insufferably, lengthening ties
Hide a softening middle increasingly round
But a breeze at the knees would blow the man down

Written: March 25, 2025, for contest sponsored by Constance La France

Quote: Spring is for concepts and projects, and autumn is a second spring where each leaf is a rose. By Poet

           *************

In the misty dawn, above the shimmering pane,
a gossamer haze swirls, poised for a vibrant leap.
With hawthorn heralding its velvety seep,
birds glorious melodies are mellifluous and plain.

Vortex winds blow over the thawed ground,
as life's poetry boldly finds its voice.
In every way, a magnificent renewal to rejoice!
For the whisper of bloodroot knows no bounds.

(*rain drops
syllable-based; 5-3-5.)

rain weaves north current
clouds knot up
patterns burst their seams

(*The Gulf Stream - Land has a lower heat capacity than oceans, and it also heats and cools faster than oceans. During the winter, the land is much colder than the oceans. When the westerly winds blow over it, the air cools substantially.)

word-based; 3-5-3.)

snow white balls
melts from a woman's neck
swine frolic atop

(**Matthew 7:6 "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.")

Dear Kathy Griffin

Dear Kathy Griffin,
I love you I do
But you're the only one
That did this to you

You can hem and you can haw
Place blame on them all
But your foot in your mouth
Is the cause of your fall

That flaming red hair
Along with the face of blue
And those crocodile tears
That you keep letting loose

Are turning us off
More than you ever thought
You might want to try and sell
This farm you have bought

You say womanhood is your victim
Of that I have doubts
And do you really kiss your mother
With that filthy mouth

A word of advice
To the not so glamorous wise
And that ain't no lie
Quit blaming the old white guy

One day this may blow over
And you'll count your lucky stars
But not before this galaxy
Does its best to forget who you are

Sincerely, Mike

P.S. I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself...

An ancient twilight tree now stands alone
with weakened cries of olden creak and groan;
winter’s rattling winds do rise and shake it -

in stark silhouette shriveled and reaching
wizened limbs thirst for Mercy beseeching;
prides the deep roots he laid down that did knit -

Nature bemoans as old oak's overblown.

Released from captivity are the sons of Israel, and with tears of joy they are received by all. Today is given the name Peace 2025 indicating an ending of brutal war. Neither adversary was present, yet an extraordinary event. Can’t build a lasting peace with hate as a building material. Is it true tranquility is what awaits the world or a temporary armistice, a break in the storm—lingering disarray of what is already rubble and dust—a dystopian gray. What shall these torn nations find in an entanglement led by hyperbolic politicians, known for their vacant promises. An immovable permanency that shall lead to unity that was once in our illusive dreams, is it what it seems? Oh is it what it appears to be? What happens to a dream deferred, does it dry up like a raisin in the sun or bring a new bloom of blustering flowers from beneath the desert sands. What tempests are these that blow over deeply rooted in religion, in the eras, in the cradle of civilization.
Freed!

                 anticipation
Jewish son freedom now comes~
          their wait exhausted

One voice it speaks, the forest confides
Its concealed union where it resides
A homeland above, below its essence abides
One voice it speaks, nature’s secret to provide

Winds blow over limb laden trees
As the acorn drops into its fate
Above the knotted, gnarled debris
Into salamander soils to wait

Its whisper does not to hesitate
It germinates unlocking its splendid fruit
To open wide in all its glory to imitate
The guardian family of oak and root

One voice it speaks, the forest confides
Its concealed union where it resides
A homeland above, below its essence abides
One voice it speaks, nature’s secret to provide

Lovers Ecstasy

This place, this time, this way
Oh, that place
It’s just where one feed the wind.
Walking to the river
The lover girl with eyes and heart in center
Her body with smoke and desire
Goes to find one place where she
And her lover friend stopped on the banks.
The Sun has its tide home going
Flashing the light thru the bush
Over the stream.
Love is on the same line of the river
And their Love is like a wheel.
She dreams with the only man to snore
A comfortable life.
Probably not?
She laughs at first looking for lover friend
Suddenly realizing his freedom only
Thinking to fall in Love
Toy with divertice
Even if he did blow over just being able
To pick up and come.
-Man, presence/absence
Is what makes this place so tolerable?
With my man I wll not be lonely
I will sense no mistake.
She feels her lover friend behind her
With a smile wider than his bronzed face
Saying:
-Pretty, do You want to dance with me?
The Lovers pretty much
On their own into the shrubs:
The space of Love here¡
Translucency privileged to see
The union of sky and earth
Because they lived at the edge of Love:
Boy traveling her openness
In his girl venture now
She saying to plant a flower in her patio
And he saying then throw that check away
Lady “because I want to seal yr urn”.
-Love me, sir¡ she exclaimed.
Love exploded with them
Saying She:
Our bodies producing two flowers
And only together do we form a whole
He:
We feel in Love with these pieces
Of sky and earth
Let us hear the pure light
Shining steady thru the Vulva
Opened for FireFlower
And be content.
She:
Love has gotten us
Into this Ecstasy.

Tonight I am pulling out a box of pictures
Lookin’ at’em one by one
As I am sippin’ on my elixir
I reminisce about the day we begun

Tonight we’re having a get together
They’ll arrive one by one
We’ll be sippin’ on our favorite beverage
And we’ll be missin’ one

Tonight after saying goodbye to you
We’ll be missin’ you separately
Some will cry some will sigh, some will just do
We’ll be missin’ you desperately

As leaves blow over and time ages
And one by one the years go past
We all have grieved in different stages
And the pain has left at last

We’ll find you in a gallery of memories
Where we’ll think of you a lot
One by one each prayer, we’ll share
Our most intimate thoughts with God
