Premium Member Lord God, You Are My Salvation Fulfiller

October 21 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Acts 16-17

Key Verse – Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY SALVATION FULFILLER

Lord God, You are my salvation Fulfiller,
always propping my faith’s empowerment
Thank You for filling me with the Holy Ghost toward ministry involvement
Surely answering my prayer along fervent supplication-engagement
Indeed calling me to endeavour in Your divine assignment.

Lord God, You are my salvation Fulfiller,
always straightening my servanthood course
Thank You for leading me to resort to You as my only supply source
Surely attending to my worship against arrogant force
Indeed guiding me by Your light You radiantly endorse.

Lord God, You are my salvation Fulfiller,
always ruling over my heart
Thank You for driving me to rise against carnality’s dart
Surely charging my worship to offer to You my best part
Indeed keeping me in Your care right from the very start.

Lord God, You are my salvation Fulfiller,
always building up my devotion
Thank You for washing me from filthiness with Your sanctification
Surely freeing my soul from guilt’s condemnation
Indeed enclosing me within Your peace-filled protection.

Lord God, You are my salvation Fulfiller,
always blessing my Scripture-based living
Thank You for teaching me truths through preaching I’m receiving
Surely strengthening my conviction against false doctrines so deceiving
Indeed transforming me by Your Word that’s reviving.

Lord God, You are my salvation Fulfiller,
always checking my motive
Thank You for stirring me so that in Your work I must be active
Surely providing my needs, enabling me to be heavenly festive
Indeed pointing me to what’s right by Your supreme directive.

Lord God, You are my salvation Fulfiller,
always beholding my commitment’s earnestness
Thank You for granting me benefits loaded by Your bountifulness
Surely encouraging my stewardship to optimize Your graciousness
Indeed delighting me to serve You with joyfulness.

Are you morose ? Are you a loner?
Why pushing yourself in a corner?
Why behaving as silent mourner ?
                            Yearn acting as entrepreneur.

                            Lamenting in solitary shore!
Boundless ocean is yet to explore.
Loneliness of mind you must ignore!
                            Aim ambition to achieve encore.

Drinking wishes, sinking in blank gaze!
                           Despondency you are to erase.
Let pearly passion to bloom and blaze.
Yearn for the best ! Dynamism to raise.

Apprehending your journey at stake ?
Is your humble heart about to break ?
Lavender love ended, seemed as fake ?
                           Let dormant desires get awake.

                            Never sit stagnant acting lazy.
                           Venturing rational or crazy,

Self dependence is your strong asset.

Fifty Years of Faithful Service

FIFTY YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE

God has surely blessed you through all these fifty years,
And you have seen such triumphs through all the trials and tears.
He gave you the challenge, and you answered His call,
Now you look back on it and thank Him for it all.
But as you are reflecting, and many join today
To tell how your life touched them when you came in their way.
I am just one person whom you have touched, that’s true,
But I just want to tell you how I’ve seen God work in you.
You have let God use you, giving Him control,
Now you see Him giving a new man greater goals.
Somehow I am certain, though you have stepped aside,
This work will go forward, adding to Christ’s bride.
Though you won’t be active as once you used to be,
God will still reward you for serving faithfully.
You will see it prosper with God’s new chosen man
Who, like you, has surrendered to His will and His plan.
There are not many pastors who God keeps in one place
The many years you’ve stayed there and preached of His grace.
So since God chose to leave you in one place all these years,
That field that you’ve been sowing with many prayers and tears
Will now continue growing as part of your reward
For all your faithful service to Jesus Christ, your Lord.
May God now richly bless you in all these coming days,
And thank you for your service, and to God be all the praise.

Dedicated to Rev. Harold Henniger on his 50th anniversary in the ministry. This pastor is now at home with the Lord.

Premium Member Our World Is Under Relentless Attack

Our world is under relentless attack
We all need to be careful about the impact
Of this virus on us. Be strong, healthy and positive
About defeating “Hate”. Be active. Be proactive
Wash our hands and brains and stay awake, away
From people who’re sick, sneezing and thrown away
By the toxic virus, which is attacking all of us
We’re under attack; we need to exterminate this bug
Which is invisible, and elusive. Spray under the rug
And disinfect from top to bottom. Let’s be the boss
Of HATRED-100. We’re under constant attack
Let’s fight back. Let’s push back
This pandemic. There’s no need to panic
Yes, this is not the time to have a picnic
Let’s be safe and conservative
Let’s be careful, personal and proactive
Exercise, jump for joy. No ‘high five’ please
We must defeat this deadly disease
Our world is under unrelenting attack
The enemy is deadly and elusive
We all must fight and push back
We must be strong and proactive
Be prudent against all enemies
Say thank you, you’re welcome and please
Wash our hands, love our friends
Kill the virus by sanitizing our brains
Hearts, souls, spleens and hands
And keep Hatred away from our friends
From our neighbors and from the folks
Of our surroundings. Hate is no joke, no hoax
Love is the answer, love is the panaceas
Love is hope. Love is the antidote against all galimatias.

A Million Thanks

I was searching my mind for a theme to choose
for my very first poem of the year
turns out it was an easy choice
to thank some friends who I hold so dear.

I've never met any one of these folks
but I consider them friends none-the-less
I established their friendship on Poetry Soup
and I consider them all the best.

For their kind and generous comments
to express how I feel is real tough
the right words really escape me
I just can't thank them enough.

There's Sweetheart, Bob and Larry
Wilma, DR Ram and Barbara G.
Debra, Andrea and Sara
who have all been so gracious to me.

p.d., John F. and Hitendra
Carolyn, Carol and Francine
C.L., Audrey and Doris
all friends who I've never seen.

If it weren't for all these nice people
I would have given up a long time ago
Their encouragement made me keep trying
and helped me much more than they know.

When retired you tend to get dormant
just sit sleeping or watching T.V.
till I got involved with Poetry Soup
that's what was happening to me.

I don't want my brain to retire
it needs to be active for sure
My writing and the challenging contests
help my brain to endure.

So I thank all you wonderful Soupers
believe me you are the best
you kept me from becoming a bump-on-a-log
of that I will attest.

There are others who I haven't mentioned by name
I hope no one feels slighted
cause everyone I've ever dealt with
I've always been highly delighted.

A Healthy and Happy New Year to you all!

The Parable of the Talents

A noble man, full of grace,
Left home to seek his kingdom.
Giving three servants treasure,
According to their wisdom.

On his return, two men ran,
Joy vivid on their faces.
Here’s double of what you gave,
Indeed, we’ve reaped your graces.

When you left, we set to work,
At first, we had grave concern.
But loves strength ensured pursuit
Regardless of your return

Come share my grace, the king said,
For our hearts beat, as one song.
You kept my word, sowed my seed,
By my side, you both belong.

Where is servant number three?
He must surely know I’m home.
But all that day, then the next,
Master waited on his throne.

The man was found, in the town,
And brought before his master.
Here’s the talent you bestowed,
Sorry I wasn’t faster.

The master saw through his mask,
A heart as black as charcoal.
Your laze and lust speaks’ deceit,
No place I have, for your soul.

But master, how harsh, how vain,
Punished for being afraid.
I returned the gift as told,
I most certainly obeyed.

Master replied in silence,
By showing him to the door.
My kingdom needs due respect,
No such traitors anymore.

Your actions have exposed you,
As self-obsessed and cruel.
To idle whilst men suffer,
You lay waste to sovereign tools.

Don’t heed my call, to prepare,
Be active in all you do.
Share my joy, spread my mercy,
My own Spirit lives in you.

Lost Part 3

At this time he lacks key attributes and skills,
this contributes to getting lost through valleys and hills,
sweating in the heat, in the cold he feels the chills
but determined to break free the only way he feels.

Life can be nasty and life can be cruel,
drive's nothing if you haven't enough fuel,
leave it too late and you've no chance at all,
you'll weaken over time and can't win the duel.

He can feel the pain as every bone inside creaks,
mentally blind wrong turns and starts to climb a wall,
but half way up his muscles ache, just too weak,
can't pull himself up nor hold on.. to his death he does fall.

He'd have been strong enough had he been more clinical
and acted sooner, not sat around hoping for a miracle.
So hiding from depression should be kept to a minimal,
be active and fight so you can use your full potential.

You're not the first to live this depression tale,
I lived it too, I didn't do well, you feel but are not a fail
and it only gets harder to come out of that shell,
you can survive, know, others have escaped this hell.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill
"Never give in to the overwhelming might of what burdens,
you can survive depression but you will never return from suicide".

"Go out today and do something random that you'd never normally do..... anything".

I Am a Woman, Not Just a Woman

We were known for being feminine,
but femininity is not being too sensitive.
It's a serious talk about facts, that all of us should think positive.
We always get belittled, so woman should fight and be active!
We have weaknesses, but can be turned as our strengths to survive
There are many things that we can do, even carrying a life
So what are you going to do?
love the person for being the reason why you're alive
We aren't recognized before a woman who's strong and independent
Slave, naive, a coward and a trash, that is how women being treated
Men are powerful. They are physically strong and being recognized as brave, intelligent and can do anything they wanted
But now we are equal, say yes, to women empowerment!
Women had sacrificed many things even their wants and needs
But being silenced for having no right to speak
Is this how our society should be?
No equality? Pride and a man should lead?
We are essential, a woman should be loved and protected
Not being raped, abused and molested.
Women's capabilities has enhanced society's development
Here comes revolution of women empowerment
I am a WOMAN, not JUST A WOMAN
Let us also be heard through HER story
Let's be fair and do not only rely on HIS tory
Because God created this world with man and a woman

My Common Sense Or Confidence

Blessed with common sense confidence
and combine the two incompetence

I've sense too scared too assert
or am dense uncared and blurting
individually both work well and shine
but when put together the circuit dies

I need to configure the controls for
my common sense and confidence
as combining their roles triggers
a can’t compute incompetence

thinking clearly working out the way
yet undoubtedly out to hide
or fearless energetic waves
spraying senseless as to why

with unconfigured controls
which conflict and dissolve
the power I hold
on their roles

I can’t think stay calm
and be active in command
without feeling bamboozled
producing confusion to use

I choose this stanza most unusefully confuse-ald
to leave you more bamboozled than usual
as I'm reduced to invent-use-and boozled-out
while you's all wonder what's this fuse-ald he's forged about?

and those last lines I have confidence in
though the common sense is missing
as I say this confidence shrinks
common sense presses suggestion
thinks I should go back address
but I'll keep lines confident they express
what I stress is my mess up to now lessen

Blessed with common sense confidence
and combine the two incompetence

Feel Fresh Always

Feel fresh always
Without tiring hard work day long , There is no sound sleep at night :
Without a light morning walk or jog There is no free mind day long
Without light exercise, yoga or meditation ; There is no freshness day long
Without healthy food three time a day tong There is no indigestion day long
Without a break in the evening for recreation ; There is no rest to mind day long
Without a light dinner, with a glass full of milk and fruit There is no sound sleep at night ;
Without following all the above ; There is no freshness even day after -

It is very easy It is very easy to lose , But it is not so easy to win ; It is very easy to steal : But it is not so easy to earn ; It is very easy to commit mistake : But it is not so easy to avoid mistake .' It is very easy to learn little bit ; But it is not so easy to master : It is very easy to be lazy ; But it is not so easy to be active ; It is very easy to depend on others ; Bur it is not so easy to stand on one’s own leg ; It is very easy to harm others ; But it is not so easy to help others : It is very easy to be irregular .' But it is not so easy to be punctual ; It is very eaw to commit suicide ; But it is not so easy to survive;
