I’m dining with my cousin Giles
Who disclosed he’d terrible piles
He’s wriggly and twitchy
Cos his butt’s so itchy
His visage is sad, there’s no smiles
He’d tried using soft margarine
This process had just made him scream
So he did not linger
With his index finger
But Anusol worked like a dream
I said it was my understanding
That surgeon ‘s do hemorrhoid banding
But if he has it done
Sitting down he may shun
On this subject I won’t be expanding!
Next time I saw my Cousin Giles
They’d successfully removed his piles
So he can sit down
No trace of a frown
And Giles is chock full of smiles

Billy McWhiffy
Billy McWhiffy needed to fart
But there was a lady pushing a cart
Once she’d passed by and he thought he might bust
He readied himself for an almighty gust
But his belly was swollen with gas he’d amassed
And if he let rip, whole towns might be gassed
But he had to let go though he feared for his heart
And worried that farting might tear him apart
So Billy decided he shouldn’t eat beans
As he put rubber bands round the legs of his jeans
He reckoned that this was a wise thing to do
For if he let rip he would probably poo
But banding his jeans meant he had to bend down
And a fart thundered out with an explosive sound
It spattered the horse and the bulletproof vest
Of a mounted policeman who made the arrest
So Billy McWhiffy was slung in the clink
And prisoners gagged at the ungodly stink
And Billy’s new cell-mate started to yell
When putrid brown liquid sploshed all round the cell
The warden rushed in with a whopping great cork
But the ground was so splattered he struggle to walk
The cork had been pulled from a bottle of wine
But it plugged Billy’s butt and it fitted just fine
So Billy McWhiffy kept it inside
‘I’ll never blow raspberries again’
He lied
When up for parole and release was denied
Well, then he let rip... blew the gates open wide
So Billy McWhiffy went on the run
Becoming a legend for using no gun
He’d smother his victims and when he was done
He’d simply say ‘Get out of that one, my son’
The momentum of the large-headed human ego....
has finally put mankind over the brink.
There's no coming back.
The clock says 1 second 'til midnight.
The earthworms have shed their glass slippers.
Soon they'll be sliding underground...
Their prince will not follow.
They've been tunneling and stockpiling for decades.
Food- ammunition-water.
The {numerators} elite and their loved ones
have their inner mountain retreat...
On a smaller scale, the (denominators) have followed their lead.
The remainders/the remains/: the poor who couldn't afford to stockpile
and those that could afford to but were too stubborn to listen.
Will be left scrambling above
banding and disbanding
willy-nilly
whatever the moment dictates
frantic
scrounging for rat meat
and toilet paper
during a nuclear winter
666 miles of social distancing,
Fondly remembering when it was only 6 feet
putting balm to nuclear skin
covering open wounds with papyrus.
They'll forge an eleventh commandment
then just as quickly break it.
With mankind's flesh between their teeth
they'll be begging to a God
who finally got sick of it all
and stopped listening-
As I look at the pictures of my unborn son,
I can’t help but feel guilty that I’ll miss his birth.
We have two other children, this is our last one.
I love them all equally, for everything they’re worth.
I’m in the military and have always been prepared
For the chance to serve my country and do my job.
I’ve never left my family, so we’re a little scared.
As we say our goodbyes, we try hard not to sob.
I grab my bags and gear, board the plane, and fly away.
It’s a very long flight, which gives me time to ponder.
As I sit here and think of all the things I wanted to say,
I remember, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”
Nobody likes the idea of going off to fight in a war,
But that’s the nature of the world in times like this.
There’s always going to be a good cause to fight for,
Like banding together against bad people that exist.
We battle all day against an enemy that’s got nothing to lose,
Who shoot at us with anger, not caring who they kill.
We fight for everything that’s good because we choose
To help rid the world of evil men and their murderous will.
I’ve missed my family and thought of them every day.
I’ve carried their pictures with me no matter where I’d go.
As I lie here dying, I pray for my wife who’s so far away.
I think about my unborn son and a father he’ll never know.
It’s been years since I’ve passed away and I miss my wife.
From above, I’ve watched my son grow into a fine young man.
He placed a plaque at my grave that was the motto of my life.
This is what he wrote; may it help others to understand.
A Soldier’s duty is to protect the innocent and their rights.
Lady Liberty is our backbone and strength, we fight for her.
”Whether you agree or disagree with the wars we fight,
Since you can use your freedom to protest, thank a Soldier.”*
*Anonymous quote
Two hawks aloft
crows anxious banding together
neighbor comes over to my croft, likes the warm weather, November
a California Christmas and maybe species will migrate to reflect that,
paints watercolor ornaments, gentle Jewish lady
how far from her past is she now? or is she quite aware just not talking
about it now
I wonder what she thinks the solution to Israel-Palestine might be
ask her sitting around the pool next summer
almost always disappointed people haven't given the single state solution
more thought
we discuss Thanksgiving, the cleaning and cooking before and the
cleaning after, then the insane Christmas potlatch
deciduous trees have a special winter beauty, conifers among them.
Trees with their tall reach
And with lofty wisdom teach:
Band in brotherhood,
But what do men learn?
Greed, gather, gain— more to earn,
Needless thence to brood!

Poet’s note: If the trees of green dense woods have one thing to teach, it is cooperation and banding together in brotherhood as they themselves seem to do. Yet, what has mankind so far learnt? Not but rat race of competition, come-uppance and destroying the very earth that sustains life. This is why the action plan to reverse global warming is not gathering steam the way it should.
We fight boarders, even among ourselves we kill
Our struggle for life, we defend our decision
Wave of Crime, saturation of hatred one heart lead
Trust,as if a friend a stab of the enemy
Those who hate, can't stand what you are
Can't stand as one in Unite that even blood flows
Families, friend or foe it's a one for all
Who is it that cares except yourself for I
Only one of many nations, skin color of racism
Banding together in protest even chaos erupts
Those of different view aim to destroy
Wave of Crime, bombs and bullets shell the air
Bodies lay blood splatter even innocent dies
What are we as a world that these days come?
All we claim to be while things go ignore
Constitution of being right, now wrong they kneel
A generation of greed and deception portrays
Just to speak truth you hurt a feeling they cry
What is the world except the heart we lose
Wave of Crime, devastating our own existence
A new beginning they scream for freedom
To be free, one knows not the day of past
As mankind controls, sinful ways our heads turn
War of Worlds, mine verses yours the battle
Good and bad, many dying in vain
Wave of Crime, where souls see the darkness
UPON THE WILLOW TREES
THE LIGHT BENDED TO SHINE
IT CAUSED THE NIGHT TO BE
ILLUMINATED BY WHATS SPEAKS OF KIND
IT SHIMMERED IN IT'S OBULANCE
AND SPOOKED AH-MANY MEN
THEY DRANK IN THE DIMMEST
BEFORE THE MORNING WOULD BEGAN
SOPHISTICATED THEY FOUND US
AS WE WERE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT
THE PRECIOUS NEED FOR LOVE
WE HELD EACH OTHER TIGHT
THEY SAW NOT OUR SECRET THINGS
AS WE STOOD REAL CLOSE
DEVOTED IN OUR LOVE MAKING SCHEME
WE LOVED EACH OTHER MOST
CONGRUENT IN OUR BANDING
WE WERE HARMONY IN PERFECT TUNE
THE EVENINGS OF FALL
THE CRISP CHILLY WIND
WE'LL MARRY BENEATH A HARVEST MOON
Your word oh God is like unto a lamp
that guides the footsteps of your flock
inscribed upon their hearts like a stamp
and the path of the master they stalk
On the road to Mount Zion they walk
and the gifts they bring you in praise
about their redeemer and King they talk
and his banner is the one that they raise
Their garments resemble the spirit of light
and crowns of radiance upon their head
wield the Word of Truth do they fight
with principalities the earth will shed
Against the rulers of darkness they stand
the fallen sons of God and their wiles
they hold the shield of faith in their hand
to defend against that which defiles
They wrestle not with flesh and blood
against the strongholds of darkness they wield
with the gospel of peace are their feet shod
and the sword of the spirit in the field
They fight against those who mankind would harm
the war is not with weapons of steel
they have gone forth to sound the alarm
to flee from the gods where the fallen do kneel
The knowledge of God teaches love and truth
and tender thoughts of understanding
so many minds acquired hatred in youth
and with the armies of Demons are banding
To understand God his Word you must know
discerning the powers that rule in his stead
the Word who is master the truth will you show
least on the wrong path you be led
The sword of the spirit is the Word of Truth
God does not torture or rape
The Demons are ones who with war do sooth
and the face of this world shape

As one from afar, I have watched with compassion
Disaster once more, has come without warning
I gasp, then I cry, yet I'm awed with impressions
How often the spirit, in the most dire conditions
will bring out the best of human reaction.
How hands helping hands, show courage ensued
How hearts heal the bruised, and will calm the confused
Banding together…while helping each another,
is a banner of courage, and will hold you together
..
Grace under fire…. with honor we brand you!
As you raise to the task, with hands of the valiant
Respect you have earned, and the honor you wear
The sun will keep rising….and crown you my heroes
