LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY DESTINATION GUIDE
Lord God, You are my destination Guide...
reigning over me in Your grace majestically
Thank You for Your blessings upon me and my family
With Your work in my life mightily
To build me up in the faith steadfastly.
Lord God, You are my destination Guide...
ruling above me in Your great authority
Thank You for Your love You spread in Your sovereignty
With Your truth bracing me up as I dwell in Your security
To rescue me from the flood of uncertainty.
Lord God, You are my destination Guide...
revealing me Your will in Your divine speech
Thank You for Your leadership, directing me along joyous journey’s reach
With Your wisdom through doctrines You teach
To confound and restrain my sins by what You powerfully preach.
Lord God, You are my destination Guide...
requiring me to praise Your holy name
Thank You for Your Scripture’s language of heavenly fame
With Your assurance of salvation brought by Christ’s sacrificial claim
To bring me to Your kingdom where I can dwell without shame and blame.
Lord God, You are my destination Guide...
restoring me into Your fatherly house
Thank You for Your supply I can actually enjoy, and not just virtually browse
With Your protection from curses which the enemies espouse
To guard me against vanities that carnally arouse.
Lord God, You are my destination Guide...
ransoming me from worldly substance
Thank You for Your revival that lets me focus on eternal inheritance
With Your presence surrounding me around spirituality’s importance
To enable me pitch my prayer-tent toward holiness with Your assistance.
Lord God, You are my destination Guide...
refreshing me from grievous frustration
Thank You for Your compassion that comforts me in my lamentation
With Your mercy responding to my request and supplication
To help me overcome plagues of emptiness and desperation.

Dear son,
I have no prologue, nor epilogue, only dialogue
That began when God's mirror was only man
God's ultimate mind, his dream, his purpose
The lump of clay in his hand, he hears his heart
Pouring over structure after structure of his great design
And we became as he intended, his cherished sons.
I did not make you this way, and should doubt
My efficacy to have ever made you at all. I can't resist
Memories of my own heart beating over you
When I held you cuddled to my love, new born
Is growing up, growing away too? Then the empty nest
Was the twin of your birth, my tragedy deferred
For the now when the phone never rings, and we smile
And say hello, for it is all a heart can hold now
Grooming you, feeding you, buying your joy
In boxes clustered like a room with toys ... these things
Are so superficial to the estrangement we have with God.
From that place of pain I would see, know, touch my life
Like I have meant to touch yours over the walls
Of many interventions and internecine strife, meet me
Like a man and think, how could I take you on Moriah
Unless in another way I had also died? Before we heard
The bleating lamb that would bleat no more on the cross
I had faith that you and I are more eternal than a knife
Raised like a fiend against the ethics of civilization
As if our best gift to God are dead children. You cannot
Come down from that mount without understanding
The way I understand how Oedipus blinded was the same
But unlike Abram, no deity supervened in his pain.
Every separation is another kind of death. Every love
A tragedy struggling to give birth to life again.
I love you son, and always will remain, your father
Longing for the same cross that always is redemption.
January 5 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 13-15
Key Verse – Genesis 13:4 Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
FAITH IN GOD WHO CAUSES US TO CALL ON HIS NAME
God causes us to call on His name by faith every morning
Enriching us with His grace from the very beginning
Enabling us to bear His name in our character refining
Entreating us to abide in His territory of holy reigning.
God causes us to call on His name by faith in our daily journey
Encouraging us with His exceeding mercy midst troubles so many
Enveloping us around His uplifting warmth when it’s cold and rainy
Energizing us to walk toward His altar over any need, big or tiny.
God causes us to call on His name by faith as we pass through vale of persecution
Enclasping us in His care against rebellion’s temptation
Encamping us upon mount of victory that smites sin-oppression
Enchaining us by His truth that joins us to His wisdom’s function.
God causes us to call on His name by faith to fight slothfulness
Encircling us with His goods and victuals of faithfulness
Enclosing us in His diligence to escape unproductiveness
Encroaching beyond our negligence so we can pursue after labor-earnestness.
God causes us to call on His name by faith to conquer difficulty
Enculturing us with practices in His kingdom’s royalty
Encompassing us around His deliverance-authority
Enclaving us inside His most High’s protective serenity.
God causes us to call on His name by faith as we submit to His Word
Enchanting us against worldliness by His righteousness-cord
Encasing us in His inheritance only He can fully afford
Encaging us inside His love’s sweetness against hatred’s sword.
God causes us to call on His name by faith along our surety’s assurance
Endeavouring to establish us while we serve Him with divine endurance
Engaging us in His ministry with revival’s insurance
Enkindling us to enjoy His covenant’s provisions with exuberance. Amen!

I
We sing of Hagar the Horrible, yet she is a brilliant blessing -
This late in April 2019; no not for April Fool's Day
I must submit (a poem, at least) - here the reason we play
II
On a certain Sunday, when all true Christians join to pray
To a LORD who loves all ("diversity, too, but let's STOP at "gay")
Can't extend humanity to the brown and gray!
MOST SERMONS: Hagar the Egyptian cannot be any good -
Such have been the fare of feeding "my sheep" by a multitude
Of professors of faith, theologians, doers of GOOD
According to Peter's restoration steps: John, chapter 21
III
Yet Hagar was a key to many a blessing
An Egyptian, yes, but before there were any Islam or current nation
Called Jews, or Israel, or the Twelve Tribes, except Abram -
The Pagan from Haran, from Ur of Iraq, before then
He and Sarai could not wait for God's Isaac, His time
Like the best of us, they HELPED GOD - Tetragrammaton, as in YHWH!
What a novel plan, Sarai: Use the womb of the servant, Hagar,
To create your heir - no record of prayer, or talking with YHWH [YaHWaH]
Before this polygamous deed, then casting her out for a "look"?
(Do with your slave as you please, Abe who wifed Hagar, said to Sarai)
But on the way back to Egypt - Surely at SHUR, the angelic Wall at Shur,
Stopped Hagar the Horrible, because she was a key to AVRAM's goal!
She submitted - better than Abe and Sarai - to God's Angel & instruction!
The COVENANT (we talk a lot about it) was yet to be sealed ...
The self-same day: he was 13 and Abram the Pagan, Ninety-Nine
The slave-woman's son, circumcised with Abraham, the self-same day
Isaac, The Son of Promise, would only come the next year!
Read your Bible (the Twelve Kings first blessed upon Ishmael: God hears!
Even the slaves & indentured, all colors, when they trust and obey
Poor old Abe always had trust, but he didn't always obey ...
Soon it will be the return of LORD of lords & residents: Judgment Day
Read Genesis again, - and again - know why Hagar & Ishmael live on!
Now The Lord said unto Abram
“go now unto a land that I will show thee.
I will make of thee a great nation
and through thee bless each family”
He went forth the land of Canaan
and God said “unto thy seed I give this land”.
So built he an altar unto The Lord
and pitched his tent where it stand
Thus The Lord said unto Abram
“as the dust of the earth will I make thy seed,
that if a man can number the dust
so then shall thy descendants breed”
And The Lord said “that thy seed
shall be a stranger in a land that’s not theirs,
a land to shed tears, sweat and blood
and afflict them four hundred years”
“And that nation whom they serve
will I judge, and they shall come out again”.
God made a covenant with Abram
that their bondage not be in vain
“The river of Egypt to the Euphrates
unto thy seed have I given this land all.
This I promise the nation of Israel
should they hearken unto my call”
God said “thy name shall be Abraham -
a father to many nations have I made thee.
I will make thee exceedingly fruitful
and kings of thy numbered seed will be”
“Between us an everlasting covenant
will you and thy seed follow long after you,
and as a token betwixt you and me
shall ye be circumcised old and new”
And God said unto Abraham “behold
that Sarah, thy wife, shall bear you a son,
and you shall call his name Issac
and he will see my covenant done”
God did tempt and test Abraham
that alas he take his only son for a sacrifice,
and he bound Issac upon an altar
and took his knife that he pay a price
The angel of The Lord called to him
saying “Abraham, Abraham, here am I,
lay not thine hand upon the lad
and fear not that thy son must die”
The angel of The Lord called again
saying “that because you in obedience did,
I will multiply thy seed as the stars
and posses thy gate of all foes amid

In this life, there's so much fake reality
but real living reality is possible to know
here Abram shows in what he received
was for real as much as falls of snow
God's word is living and active then and now
as Abram was told God is your great shield
bringing a reward that this vision proved true
for the Lord would provide an heir from His field
A promise was given by God Himself
that Abram would have His very own son
God showed him the skies high above
such is God's glory to will it to be done
This is our God being in our experience
giving certainty to our conviction so dear
showing our love to our God our saviour
so very precious forever so very dear
Jehovah Tsidkenu the Lord our righteousness
where once a stranger to God and His grace
this gift of righteousness so freely given
God is real and certain forever in His place
(" After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.” But Abram said, “O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.” And behold, the word of the Lord came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.” And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness.")
Genesis 15: 1-6 (ESV)
It is said that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah,
Are famous for their wicked ways.
That sin was so rife among these two,
That Satan, Himself ruled the day.
It's said that these cities were so rotten and vile,
That life there was Hell on Earth,
And if a child was born in either place,
His fate was sealed before birth.
Abuse of all kinds ran rampant there,
And God said,'Their sin is too great.
The stench of their sin has reached Heaven's Gate,
And so they have sealed their fate.'
He sent His angel to visit Lot,
And get him and his family out.
He visited Abram and Sarah Himself,
And told them what He was about.
Abraham begged and pleaded with Him,
Please don't kill the good with the bad.'
And God in His mercy agreed not to do it,
But in the end no good could be had.
Fire and brimstone rained down on them,
And burned all into a white ash.
Where two great cities once had stood,
Was now only salt, sand and ash.
We could learn a great deal from what happened there,
When sin and debauchery held sway.
They didn't believe so they didn't care,
And we're not far behind them today.
In the past the Bible was read in our homes.
We loved God and were proud of it too.
Now even our laws have turned against Him,
It seems Christ is our only taboo.
The cannot believe what they cannot see,
Is what they all say of The Lord.
The people of Sodom said that too,
And they were cut down by His Sword.
If we don't change our ways we'll suffer the same,
For God is no different today.
The party is over and time's running out.
He grows weary of the games people play.
