June Nineteenth One Hundred and Fifty Years Ago

June nineteenth one hundred and fifty years ago

Juneteenth hint: three hundred
and sixty six days
after eighteen sixty four.

Major General Gordon Granger
led the Union Soldiers to Galveston, Texas,
to announce the end of the Civil war
and the freedom of all enslaved people.

Jim Crow sat perched
over the event horizon
waiting in the wings,
which brought darkened
(non-sheltering) skies
not only for the hot pocket
of suddenly emancipated
persons of color,
who would subsequently experience
immense prejudice
upon their embarkation

as (no pun intended)
"masters" of their own selves
while attempting to eke out a living
dirt poor, yet resourceful
hunkering down on plantations,
which property eminent domain
of federal government,
(a political entity
characterized by union
of partially self-governing provinces,

states, or other regions),
whereby said body electric
codified, fortified, and indemnified
manifest destiny, a phrase
coined in 1845, the idea
that United States destined—
by God advocates believed—
to expand its dominion
and spread democracy and capitalism
across the entire North American continent.

Though institution of slavery
supposedly rendered null and void
at the stroke of a pen
(courtesy Abraham Lincoln)
well actual legislation
passed by Congress on January 31, 1865,
and ratified on December 6, 1865,
the 13th Amendment abolished slavery
in the United States.

Nevertheless merciless abuse
heaped upon the *****
despite their legal status
being Granted leeway
to persevere life, liberty
and pursuit of happiness.

Recognition as equal brethren
among collective soul of American
fraught with bitter aversion,
condemnation, and ejaculation
of physical and verbal violence
against people of color,
whose melanin enriched complexion
birthrights rendered hidebound
severely limited
inalienable rights as declared
in Declaration of Independence,

now still utter abhorrence
regarding treatment
of those proud enterprising people,
whose once storied
African past left in tatters
leaving sparse threads
woven together by diligent dogged research
nsync with twenty first century technology
to allow, enable and provide opportunity
to stitch together a more complete tapestry
and spiritual fusion with shackled ancestors.

Telling White Lies

Telling "White Lies"

My mother got born November
thirteenth, nineteen hundred thirty five
within poverty stricken household
of Canarsie, Brooklyn, the youngest
(most mollycoddled) of four siblings,
experienced grinding poverty, no
matter maternal grandfather (Moishe
Kuritsky), a tailor he lacked drive
(and felt neutral about stitching
together gainful employment)
to support his family two parents +

remainder offspring, he helped sire
lacked positive role models, none the
less gumption taught her to strive
at tender age livid with rage to escape
caricature living poor, thus sought
employment when/wherever sheik hood
if necessary fibbed to survive
plus rash of healthy nurturing, and
absolute zero constraints, perhaps five
or thereabout years old attested
much later, suspected her papa did jive

with unspeakable improper behavior
(nobody dare discuss taboo issues),
yet intuition awoke within immoral
conclusion Harriet Kuritsky did arrive,
and perhaps resorted to stretching
the truth (fibbing a "white lie") the only
recourse available plied sweet innocence
knowing little or nothing about birds
feathering their nest, nor little about
buzzfeeding activity in beehive
naivete flirtatious coyness advantage worked,

I bet young thang did connive
and probably never did contemplate,
deliberate, generate and wrongdoing,
where mother of necessity spurred
angelic demureness strategy to contrive
securing bare necessities, hence fast
forward, when unsolicited advice given
to this sole son, or either sibling, (an older
& younger sister) tactics upbringing did deprive
ma mum of positive role models, hence
only blueprint to acquire essential needs

serendipitous series of unfortunate events
before Lemony Snicket did derive
school of hard knocks, (I do believe
formerly called Abraham Lincoln High)
rather than impugn, judge, revile, et cetera
kernels/nuggets of wisdom memory did revive
within my mind for rhyme, nor reason
blunt honesty, not always best policy
despite ten commandments
to husbands with many a wive.

Life lesson learned meant blurred line
between mendacity and truth
courtesy upbringing mommy dearest
if repeatedly drummed into me noggin
brutal honesty will bring nothing but bupkis,
or if you prefer the Yiddish spelling bobkes.

Mothers "r" Us

Abraham Lincoln once said, "all that I am I owe to my mother"
as each of us is the product that comes from no other
your morals, your values and some of the ways in which you act
originate from your mother and how she raised you in fact
most mothers are gentle, loving, nurturing and very kind
they're the first person in your life that helped to shape your mind

In the book of Matthew a Cannanite mother was mentioned
she was a good mom whom for her child had the best of intentions
but a problem developed with her child and the first thing she did was pray
but when the situation got worse she went to seek Jesus right away
she went before Jesus and made known her request
but Jesus told her of her people He did not address
she went before Jesus and got down on her knees
she begged Him to help her child who had a dire need
she addressed Him as Messiah, she affirmed His Godly appointing
Jesus saw in her a great faith and then gave her daughter an anointing

Ask and you will receive if you truly believe in God
and He may give you the desires that are in your heart
seek and you will find Jesus the Christ, your Savior
and pray that He will bestow upon you a miraculous favor
trusting and believing that He is the Anointed One
knowing and accepting Him as God's only begotten Son
that Cannanite mother possessed a tremendous faith
and for her child she did whatever it would take

At first the Twelve Disciples told Jesus to send her along
Jesus got caught up in the culture and realized that was wrong
He displayed a bit of humanity when the Jewish card He played
but that Cannanite mother was most determined and from her purpose she would not stray
persistent in her pursuit and praise she stepped to Jesus and His divine mission
and after all was said and done He reversed His initial decision
and with His miraculous and Godly powers
that Cannanite child was healed within the hour

Great was her faithfulness for in God she truly believed
that by praying, praising and worshipping Him all she asked for she would receive
Mothers "R" Us and for our children we'll get down on our knees
to pray to God to help our children in their times of need

Premium Member Thanksgiving Time

Presidents Truman, Kennedy, Regan, Biden
Sparing a turkey from a Thanksgiving table. The presidential Turkey Pardon

Massachusetts
is a truly historic state.
Indigenous people lived there for
over ten thousand years before it was
colonized by the English in the 17th century.
The 17th century brought a mass migration
of Puritan immigrants into the area
while the subsequent centuries
brought new waves of
immigrants.

Abraham Lincoln’s
son Tad got upset when
he found out someone was going to kill
the live turkey brought for the presidential
family’s Christmas dinner. Eventually Tad’s plea was admitted,
and the turkey’s life spared. Abraham Lincoln made
Thanksgiving an official
U.S. holiday in
1863.

A decade later
Rhode Island poultry dealer
Horace Vose starts sending Thanksgiving
and Christmas turkeys to the first families. Vose was the
White House’s unofficial turkey provider for more than
40 years after that first turkey to President
Ulysses S. Grant, but by 1914, Americans
from around the country were
sending live turkeys for
the holidays.

William Bradford’s
journal was discovered and published
by Sarah Josepha Hale, a magazine editor.
Hale was so taken with the story of that first Thanksgiving,
that she lobbied five U.S. presidents to make it a federal holiday.
Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving an official U.S. holiday,
an act he saw as a step toward reuniting the
fractured country after the Civil War.
He put it on the calendar for
the last Thursday
of November.

1941
December,
Franklin D. Roosevelt
changed Thanksgiving to the fourth
Thursday in November to avoid confusion
where there is a fifth Thursday in
November.

People
often incorrectly
date the official pardoning ceremony
back to 1947 with Harry Truman, a myth
that stems from the fact that the National Turkey Federation
which runs the modern presidential turkey pardon
ceremonies sent a president a turkey for the
first time that year. Truman
didn’t spare that bird’s life
he ate it.

Premium Member It's a Crying Shame

George Washington would never believe it and call it a crying shame. I have observed the prohibition of prayer in public schools. Free speech is not free but is for sale to the highest bidder. Moreover, there is an attitudinal atmosphere suggesting that any speech that is not my own should be abridged, censured, or abolished. Traditional norms and family values are dropping like flies under the spell of pesticides. The Bible is considered to be narrow-minded hate-speech. I have seen people terrorized, their civil rights decertified and denied. Moral values have been devalued, set aside, and liquidized; Constitutional rights are diluted, disputed, and no longer solidified. Whatever happened to the great 'thinkers'? I have noticed the terminal illness and demise of noble ideas. Education is being replaced with political persuasion and propaganda.

Abraham Lincoln would never accept it and call it a crying shame. Minority rights are being revised, realigned, reassigned, and redefined. I have witnessed human rights ignored, disregarded, and not prioritized. The cultural revolution is forging ahead in jet-propulsion speed like there is no tomorrow nor time of reckoning. Belief in evolution is man's best hope for a future without accountability. There are no absolutes nor need for resolution. Majority rights are brought into question, unguaranteed, and in retreat. Equal rights are desired but unclarified, undefined, and unobtained. I have beheld the orchestrated disappearance of common sense, and before long we shall be worry-free because 'Big Brother' will always come to our defense. Alien rights are well protected, highly promoted, and unwisely provided. There is a free admittance of subjectivity and the utter rejection of objectivity. I started to weep when I realized that sanity is being burned at the stake. I'm hoping and praying that we return to our senses before it's too late.

You look in your monochromatic mirror
and see a Lincoln Republican.

You read,
"You can fool some of the people some of the time,"
but not all the bicameral folks
all of their deep sacred ecology listening time.

But, you stopped at the HalfTime comma
which felt like giving permission
to step toward twittering condemnational rule
by fake news
confusing to distract,
denying to belittle
in your SaveFace Book of Conflict Management
while issuing Orders
not fooling anyone for any anti-health and safety constitutional time
at all.

You hope you are like Lincoln.
Yet he tried his WinWin best to avoid Civil War;
which means he did not do his WinLose supremacist best
to start an UnCivil Revolution
of Mutual WinLose Destructive Devolution,
competing against all NonUSA
NonWhite
NonJudeoChristian
NonAlphaDog Matriarchs,
as preferably servile bitches.

Lincoln thought it politically irrational,
although perhaps economically necessary,
to enslave and rape and sex-market black bitches.
You see the "perhaps economically necessary"
as Lincoln giving you permission
to ignore your own politically toxic intentions
to actively harm those who share your Elder Matriarchal
regeneratively nurturing
Organic Tree.

You, The NakedDonald,
are no Abraham Lincoln Republican.

You do not even pretend to speak softly and listen
while carrying a big stick.
You speak as loudly and often as possible
so there is no time for your LeftBrain Dominant Ego
to listen to your own RightBrain laughing
at the image of you not only carrying,
but nakedly waving for all to see your biggest stick.

You are AntiLincoln UberSupremacist Republican,
which means your SuperDaddy BadBoy CombOver Act
is alarmingly unhealthy and unsafe
in a WinLose Oval Office,
acting like a Rabid Elephant
in an on-line Glass House of EgoCentric-Only Mirrors,
which the Constitution intended to remain WinWin
Ego/EcoCentric Mirrors,
both on-line and off,
within Earth's WinWin healthier than WinLose
Reality ReGeneration/DeGeneration Show,
in which all Earth's Multiculturing Empires
wear only WinWin EcoPolitically ReGenerative Clothes.

The Dream of Martin Luther King

Man has lived a hard life
While trying to live free
Voting and living in fine
Houses never intended to be
Somehow treated badly while
Others took away their families
Rosa Parks wanted her rights
In Montgomery Alabama

God knew the struggle that
Man always endured in life
Beating half to death
And crying in the night
They took away their daughters
And used them to satisfy lust
The only way to survive is
To do what they must

Many long years have passed
And many rivers they crossed
Some of them were saved
But most of them were lost
Abraham Lincoln through
God he freed the slaves
But somehow along the way
They lost a lot of braves

With his headquarters in
Atlanta Georgia arose
Dr. King
Now they can began
To let freedom ring
With the dream that he had
To unite every nation together
So their children could walk
Hand-in-hand in a land
He tried to make better

Dr. King spoke of peace
Didn't believe in a gun or knife
He wanted freedom for everyone
To live a better life
His dreams foresees
All nations of children walking
Hand in hand
A better future, a better life
Was always Dr. King’s plan

He said I've been to the mountain top
And I've viewed the promise land
I may not get there with you
For this is God’s plan
I don’t want you to cry or
Mention the honors that I received
But speak of how I've helped this
Nation and tried to supply their needs

Like most people, Dr. King
Wanted to live a long life
He knew he had to work swiftly
To win this holy fight
January 15, 1929 marks the
Birth of a righteous man
April 4, 1968 he was
Taken from this land

A single shot, a life have fallen
And taken from his family
He believed in the movement
That started in Alabama
Because of his dream for
Everyone in this world
He willingly gave his life
And wanted every nation
To seek peace,
And try hard to love
Now we look back at all
The struggles of Dr. King
And we see a somewhat better nation
Because of this man’s Dream!!!

Premium Member We Are Not Afraid

We Are Not Afraid

Why should we be afraid?
If this were the case,
There would be no United States.

The founding fathers were not afraid
To face imprisonment or death;
General Washington led the Continental Army
To defeat British tyranny of America.

And if the Electoral College had not been constituted,
Abraham Lincoln would not have been elected.
And if President Lincoln had been afraid
Of the plantation owners, and sympathizers,
And the Supreme Court justices;
Black Americans would still be enslaved.

And so, when bullied for political belief
Remember FDR’s inaugural speech
To the Nation during the Great Depression,
‘The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.’
Stand up and say, “We are not afraid!”
                         ***

Notes:
1) George Washington: 1st President of the United States (1789 to 1797) – no political party.

2) Abraham Lincoln: 16th President of the United States (1861 to 1865) – Republican Party.

3) Franklin D. Roosevelt: 32nd President of the United States (1933 to 1945) – Democratic Party.

4) Sept. 17, 1787: ‘Constitution of the United States of America’ adopted and signed at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

5) March 6, 1857: ‘Dred Scott Decision, aka Dred Scott v. Sandford’ (United States Supreme Court): ruling 7 – 2 in favor of Sandford. In the opinion authorized by Chief Justice Roger Taney stated that ‘Persons of African descent cannot be, nor were ever intended to be, citizens under the U.S. Constitution…’ i.e. Black people were not and never could be American citizens and therefore not protected under the Constitution.

6) November 6, 1860: Abraham Lincoln of the Republican Party was elected POTUS with 40% of the popular vote but won the majority of the electoral college with 180 electoral votes out of 303. One hundred and fifty-two electoral votes were needed to win.

7) The Great Depression (1929-1939): The Great Depression was a period of severe economic hardship, affecting the industrialized Western World.
