Your love is lost your heart is shattered
mosaicked by a complex of cracks,
wordy weapons leave it tattered
the battle scars of life’s attacks.
Shrouded in a blanket of pain,
you think love’s gone, remote, extinct,
in time it will rekindle again
for life and death are closely linked.
In dark despair, pique's deepest cold
is thawed in the refiners furnace,
there love's small fruit is turned to gold
a warmth you can tenderly embrace.
There those battered shards are gently gilt
becoming a new love token,
where repaired and lovingly rebuilt
you’re more beautiful for being broken
"I carry your heart with me(I carry it in my heart) I am never without it"
Quote by E.E. Cumminnings
My heart will always cry until I die
to pour from pain-filled depth within my soul
I languish in such darkness where I cry
and find a somber world of sadder toll
white doves flutter above my marble pain
where time is haunting before Angels sing
from Heaven filtered light falls through the rain
to cast a shadow from a lone dove's wing
the Angelic light pierces the dusk gray
to softly lay on her name etched in stone
the stone that's my forever yesterday
and holds all of love's memories I own
my loneliness weeps as it knows no peace
empty are the dreams I must still release

I write upon our history, pen smeared in blood
Human legacy, wars enduring shame
Brushed aside indelible ink
Readily forgotten
The pregnancy pain, bonny baby took away
Scar tissue, for the time being hidden
Behind basic instinct, survival is driven
Truth brings denial, all set for replay
Hollowed out, our core is rotten
Feigning amnesia stinks
Unholy absolution, washes away blame
Absence of conscience, shrugging off wet mud
Erosion of remorse, tames great biblical floods
Waters have receded, but stains remain
Edges collapse, into the brink
Crumbling apart, sodden
Grasping at fading roots, crucified in loose clay
Divided we forge ahead, unbidden

Syllable counted P/S. 12/10/8/6/12/10. per stanza
With his spirit broken and feeling such pain in his heart
All those words that were once spoken now seem so intensely tart
With each passing new year that deep reaching pain only grew
Oh how those words would sear the only words he ever knew
And as each word would deeply pierce leaving such a sting
Imagine all those tears and the pain that would bring
Eventually pushing him right to the edge like never before
As each new word would dredge every lasting sore
So shut off from within and unable to see out
Neither could I win such a treacherous bout
And nearly at the end of his rope with no hope in sight
He decided to mend and for himself make things right
He visited his father's grave site and even shed a tear
But he said Dad you weren't right and let's make that clear
You missed all that possible joy and I needed you so much
Now I have a little boy and I can't continue to do as such
I am bursting with magnetic fascination
Like a chick hatching from the egg
Kin to its fated emancipation
From the great source of an internal connection
To the joy of breathing and grace of living
Dangling by the lessons of love and hate
That stirs emotions supernal to our gates
That open with provoked intoxication
So compelled to natures unparalleled state
Not knowing the way and direction to take
There are no mistakes - only lessons to venerate
Like a chick hatching from the egg
Wobbly but standing on fresh new legs
Dangling by the lessons of love and hate
That pain and comfort be the teacher
Straightforward and sideways always stepping towards its fate
Joyous to be free as nature's perfect creature

I lost me
Somewhere between silent tears and fake smiles
Between “I’m fine” and aching miles
Between holding on and letting go
I buried myself in what you’ll never know
I lost me
In dreams I crafted but couldn't achieve
In people I loved who chose to leave
In promises broken, in words unsaid
In the echo of hope that quietly fled
I lost me
While being strong when I was weak
While hiding pain I couldn’t speak
While being the sun in someone’s night
I forgot I too deserved the light
I lost me
To fears I fed and lies I wore
To battles fought behind closed doors
To the mirror that stopped reflecting me
And showed a stranger, silently
I lost me
But maybe, just maybe
One day in sujood, in a tearful plea
In the noor of truth, I’ll find me
The real me who was meant to be
Frozen to perfect, stiff, fixed and fast,
Forever replicating exact,
Transparent colours of love and beauty,
Forever being abstract,
She’s a water kingfisher, with a purple song box,
Or ocean wave smashing to shore,
Forever being a shimmering dog,
Or a magnificently powerful horse,
She can be hard and solid, reliably strong,
Unflinching to hurt, rage or pain,
Or she can be a delicate fragile of perilously weak,
Carrying your toast of champagne,
She’s our beautiful glass, our goblet of glaze,
Our sculptured trichromatic quartzite,
She’s everything beautiful wrapped into one,
Illuminating a rainbow of light.
Inside scrapings of darkness
how restless and doomed,
the bellow crashing in like
an agonized moon;
the tunnel hears blood whooshing
in pits full of rain,
hurling damn imaginings
of her fetus’ pain,
wails rip through the stained window
and grinds near right lung,
heart reeks for a babe frozen
knowing breath is gone;
if I could pluck her memories
from uterine wall,
to touch sun’s glint christening
new eyes on dawn’s call.

The atrosities of war leap out into rage
children slaughtered on the battlefields of pain
peace the blessing of the golden age
carressing dreams of yesterday
Once the world stood up and cried
hippies in a world of coloured flowers
the sign of peace embraced the world
the youth
gripped in a frenzied attack against war
peace a sympton of the times
flower's raged and wisdom cried
make love not war
and then the world embrace the touch
as woman surrendered their diginty
peace the created embrace of their youth
yet love is not an act or game
Love is the gift given from father to son
mother to daughter embrace the love
embrace the peace embrace the life
raise up as youth embrace real love
peace a sign of the times
once a great thriving beleif
once a great dream
If only the world could dream again
Ok stop nagging, you twisted me arm,
Ill tell you a true story that caused me harm.
My wife and I ran out of petrol on the motorway,
It was the second minute of the third hour of the day.
So off I walked to the BP garage to get some juice,
On the road are two women shouting verbal abuse.
Their hummer was leaking a lot of oil,
Under the car I went with my shirt black from the soil.
While busy tightening their sump plug,
I heard a loud bang; I must have looked like a mug,
The most excruciating pain in my trouser I felt,
When I found I was suspended under a lorry by my belt.
I was doing sixty mph holding on for dear life,
Crying, calling out to my wife.
The lorry went on for two hours non-stop,
How the hell I hung on and didn’t drop?
Then by luck it stopped, this was my chance,
I rolled from under the lorry to find I was on a boat to France
My nuts were the size of basket balls,
I thought that was it for the future generation of the Halls.
A week later I returned with my balls in a wheel barrow,
And my ---- the size of a full grown marrow.
My wife thought I was dead and she almost choked,
She didn’t speak to me as her life insurance claim was revoked.
