Premium Member Happy Mother's Day

I seem to take you for granted Mom,
But truly it's not meant to be,
It's just that you are too good to all,
And especially good to me.

I realize when life is made easier
By the goodness of someone so dear,
It's hard to remember to thank you
When I see you each day of the year.

But I do appreciate you dear Mother.
I know I don't tell you enough,
You are the reason I'm living
You are the reason I'm loved.

It's your turn Mom to be granted
a Special Day of the year
To receive a little return on your love
with a Happy Mother's Day cheer.

Diamonds Are Not Forever

The hardest mineral hung around her neck,
you sat drinking cocktails on a polished deck;
the ghost stood in the corner, just couldn't afford
to keep up with adornments from my sweet lord.

He wished that he could have 'bought' her time,
but knew it would be a mountain to climb;
now a rich apparition could expect little return,
although these greedy humans have much to learn.

Perhaps if he wrapped a fortune around her arm,
she would respond to his magic and ethereal charm,
then look over her shoulder but no one was there,
only us spirits had the time to stand and stare.

He sighed when he knew she could never be his bride,
but things may be different when she came to 'the other side.'

It's Better To Love - Monchielle Stanza

It is better to love
than live alone by self
Time will end and bring naught
for you but sense of loss
Sharing life's values caught.

It is better to love
than give self piety
For piety is pride
and is not man's measure
Love makes wonderful bride

It is better to love
than seek filthy lucre
Such can leave you alas
then sorrow's thine alone
Love has no farewell pass

It is better to love
than to live for short pleasures
They have little return
and often lead to death.
Love shows wrong to discern
