Criers and Listeners
Miracle Man
4/6/2023
Mercilessly,
many are drowning,
in the stress of everyday life.
We cry out for help,
but most ears are only attentive
to crowd generated noise,
and thus ignore the whispering,
of a drowning, solitary voice.
Your soul cannot die.
She is here for a reason.
It is imperative you listen to her.
Soul listeners cannot be depressed.
They cannot stay sad long.
They are enthusiastic and joyful.
Let’s be two of them.

Messengers
are seldom the most powerful voices
in Earth's wombed room.
Listeners,
whether intrapersonal individuals
or interpersonal incorporated persons
and both,
listening to the most diverse voices
usually become cooperatively empowered
advocates for Earth's open rooms
birthing eco/theo-logical Grace
from within God's re-creating history
as above Gaia's Paradise
cooperatively heard muses,
colors of vibrant heart music.
Ego sung and Eco-danced
with light and dualdark messengers
solar
and lunar
and in-between
co-arising transubstantiations
gathering revolutionary therapeutic powers
for health of multiculturing happiness
or monocultural sadness
Buzzing messengers,
joy-filled sin-clear angels,
silent but lively superpowers
becoming cooperatively re-invested
in polypathic listening,
then polyphonic speaking,
then polycultural re-listening again
then polynomially re-iterating yet again
then multiculturally hearing
everyday eco-messengers
actively healing and disturbing ego-listeners
cooperating yet again.

THE LISTENERS
It don’t matter if it’s Simon Says
Or part of next Friday’s science lectures
Babies under one year are the best listeners.
So serious is their attentive gaze.
And they don’t ask stupid questions
They always find your conclusion ingenious
And they never doubt that you are a genius.
Doubts arise years later as options.
It's very frustrating, pretend listening
Their unfocused eyes, glazing and glistening
And despite their wide blank stare
They don't notice my eyes and menacing glare
Like music,
life swirls and moves
to a tempo and beat
Not a single person aware
of the careful rhythm
the world shares
Only those who stop to listen--
the artists, the poets, the musicians--
can partially understand
Every breath,
each syllable
of the very words you speak
each step and stop
all linked hand in hand
They all just go to work
for their corporate Gods
While the ones most find
"crazy" or "ill"
are feeling the earth
beneath their feet,
but with their hearts
They know to break free
to dance and move
and ENJOY
the rhythms,
harmonies,
and lyrics of
the universe..
The lively never truly listen,
But the dead they do, they even eavesdrop on your every word.
They collect and collect it in like dust.
