(For MTG, LB and their ilk)

Give a koala
A fistful of eucalyptus leaves; their only food,
They won't know what to do with it.
Gotta pick it themselves, or starve.

That's because their brains are smooth,
Like chicken breasts.
No convolutions, small surface area, few connections.
What you see is what you get;
Pretty damned dumb for a mammal.

It seems to me, my dears,
You bear a striking resemblance
To these creatures.
Hand you a concept outside of your bubble -
You know, the food of higher thoughts - You just stare at it,
Reject it as undigestible.

This renders your very thoughts smooth,
No convolutions, small surface area, few connections.
What you see is what you get;
Pretty damned dumb for mammals.

Build them wider, taller
let us reach for the sky

when we run out of bird's
we'll clip angels on the fly

90,000 lb. sperm whale
wandering, searching for
his misplaced tail...

but elite global outlets will
never fail....only us commoners
stuck in the dark, our vehicles
needing, only one gear~ Park!

Cluster

Two rival hockey teams take the ice
Gloves off at game time. bAm! PoW! SLICE!
It was a cluster puck
And that is putting it toothlessly nice.

I learned woodchucks couldn’t chuck wood
What would happen if they actually could?
Well, a cluster chuck
Really it’s only beavers that should.

I was holding breadcrumbs in a 10 lb sack
I tripped and fell right on my back
Then ensued a cluster duck
I was found by feathered friends that quack

I have this new word game to play
What’s the word I mean without having to say?
What a… clusterfluck?
Or something like that anyway.

Shelby Dog

Sweet Shelby, so it's been one spin around the sun for us
Here's to hungry you helping have hamburgers (obviously there was too many)
Emptying the trash when there was no more room (clearly there wasn't any)
Licking up leftovers laying on the ground (even though you spilt them there)
Barrell rolling in poop at the park (a good reminder for a bath, to be fair)
You yank my arm off when you see a rabbit (it's a bit of a fuss)

Diligently sniffing out any treats (or any food for that matter)
Old girl, young at heart, my 80 lb lap dog (there's nothing I would rather)
Gave me a first year, I wouldn't have any other way

Remaining Along Sea

Morning of ash, I always stayed with the invite of ash.
But, I don’t think they return scatter me.

“Why you can’t be the ash?” they asked
“Because I have been ash”

The woman that never speak out cut herself her tongue.
Again who tongue will snap?

Do you understand my language?, I will you.
But, now my sleeping was forward the forever death.

Yes, blue, and gray, then the sadness who anyone doesn’t need
Implicated my fat body. I’m the rock, 200 lb.I can’t enter your bottle.
No, blue, and gray, then at the end,
the success who everybody need wasted away grgradually.

Think, I drunk with the little fuel.
1.	Your lip/ Ash
2.	Your sister’s lip/Ash
That mean I’m not a gay.

Right, the ash of morning will fly into the sky.
I make burn someone with worse ash.
And, I will say about “Nothing..” with remarks.

Because of the flu
They...(the they)
suffocated the entire world.
They inflated the death numbers
covered our faces
made us inhale our sins
over and over again

(The they)
promoted rioting but shut down churches
made us afraid of our own skin
6 billion people kept in line by a few
(The tiny ringmaster controlling the 500 lb. tiger
with mental whips).
but the tiger grows wise
He'll soon come off his polka dot circus stool
and don his stripes.
and have a mighty swipe
and save the whip for laughs.

Staying Cool Memories

Oscillating fans here and there in the house,
Naps in a cool cement basement,
Folding fans on an evening porch,
Dry breezes after twilight.

The ice man with tongs holding a 50-lb cube,
Throwing it into a heavy wooden ice box,
Galvanized and painted like porcelain inside
And a tub underneath to catch the melting to empty.

A grape arbor in the backyard where a little girl played
With a black-haired dolly named Jane,
The ice man mussed her hair and smiled
As he went on his merry way.

And then Daddy’s homemade cooler,
A big box lined with excelsior,
A pipe around the top with holes punched
Attached to the yard hose to drip.

In the box was a big oscillating fan
He bought second hand from a bank,
His water cooler was the talk of the town,
His ingenuity to thank.

We splashed in the yard in our bathing suits,
There were no home pools, few trees, no shortage of laughter,
Fun was fun hot or cool,
We got by happy ever after.

Lg Means Linguistic Gender

mi Espanol is muy mal
my Spanish is very bad

but i'm
trying to
understand
in these days
of trans i don't
want to mistakenly

write a
wrong and
be translated
especially since
i don't believe in any
political view to be said

to be
politically
in an incorrect
set of words or a
statement that may
put me out of poetry soup

but she once
said that i could
be her Muso since
she was mi Musa but
I felt a bit queasy and q**er
so i said to my dear dearest let

me be
your perro
and you can
be my gato but
then i realized that
she would be a he "o"

and me
an "o" so
minus the GT
we have an LB
crisis on hand and
my hand was elsewhere

so slowly
I tried to find
Her cat and still
be My dog without
linguistic complications
the moral of the story is that

if i'm
trying to find
a Spanish pussy
cat not so butch because
i'm a Spanish manly dog because
linguistically we both end in a masculine

"O"
she can
be oh so wild
and i so wildly
sniffing without being
sticking myself in the out of

The Cell

they change the sheets
once a week
the blue men pass in pairs
matching cadence
marking the hour
staring into vacant eyes
in four-square cells
passing as if no one was there
but if eyes could grasp
there would be finger marks
around pencil necks

I only know what I can see
between steel rods
and wired glass aglow
distorting figures like sides of beef
hanging in a meat locker
waiting to be drawn and quartered
into 5 lb. slabs
displayed in glass cases

inspected by schlubs
slavering at the mouth
like ravenous dogs
ready to rip into sinew and bone
sparing no mercy or expense
on trophies of the hunt

we mind the hours
silent and alone
awaiting a call
that never comes

the bell signals curfew
night commands the hour
dreams begin their languorous pavane
and sounds die into the night

   — o soul
       show me how to live
       before I die —

Premium MemberBig Fella Cod

The majestic Murray cod is native to Australia's inland rivers including the Murray River. It grows to a maximum size of about 6 foot and 250 lb in weight. The maximum estimated age is about 50 years. Divers in clear water are often confronted by these huge gentle fish that are very curious. Those that stare eye-to-eye with these magnificent creatures in the wild, or in tanks in captivity, are spooked and deeply affected by the experience. I was part of a team of scientists that established the age and growth of Murray cod. I live in awe of them to this day. Take a trip and stare eye-to-eye with a cod before you die.
