His lackwit ladylove rubbed our family wrong
She came in singing a bawdy pirate song
We were silent, our absolute and only ways strong
We sat back in our bean bags, and handed her a bong

I saw you standing there today
My eyes froze in their place
So beautiful in burgundy
Was staring at your face
The ladies who were sitting there
Sat right in the chair
That I had set aside for you
For when you first got there
I had a piece to play for you
The kind you like whereof
But I'll record it now tomorrow
For you my ladylove

Longfellow's Hades

My aunt was a weirdo: she talked to trees, walked around the house naked and used to read me “The Metamorphoses” by Ovid and “The Song of Hiawatha” by Longfellow as a bedtime story. “Oom-ta-ta, oom-ta-ta”, - dactyl waltzed, pages rustled and I came down dactylic stairs into my personal Hades of dreams.

Beavers are in the Styx! Bison hide in reeds from mosquitos. Herds of wild mustangs graze on the Elysium fields. Red-skinned young ladies with asphodels in plaits listen to the story of Orpheus and Eurydice that the magic Willow tells them. Everybody's happy but Charon: Hiawatha* takes Minnehaha** out in his boat. But where is the son of Rhea and Cronus and his wife Persephone? “Lookee, lookee, - Olympus laughs, - who rules the netherworld now. Henry Longfellow!”

Time passed. I grew up. Other rhymes obsessed me. But every night, having slipped past three-headed Mishe-nama***, I go down into Longfellow’s Hades in search of my late aunt.

* The main character of “The Song of Hiawatha”.
** Hiawatha’s ladylove.
*** The character of “The Song of Hiawatha”, the king of fishes.

A Pang of Mercy

The curse, the lethargy,
conceived out of wedlock Dawn and Day,
the mother-in-law of the race of the Ogres,
the tub filled with toads, vipers and snakes,
the cohabitant who always stays out -
here's a partial list of the problems
that await the true princesses,
whereas a dreamless sleep is a soteriological ideal of any Buddhist.
Bent over the beautiful princess,
I feel a pang of mercy,
and, rising from my knees, get out of here -
by little Mopsey, the Princess's spaniel, which is lying on the bed,
by the hypothetical fire upon the hearth,
by the doormen in whose cups wine turned into mold long ago
and beyond,
through the wayless wood of existence,
which is not a problem for my ladylove anymore.
As Charles Perrault rightly stated:
“Thorns part before a royal blood only”.

A Speculative Concept

When life is coming to an end, my friend,
you learn to treasure this godsend, my friend.

When death has come, you count every second
and every moment you can spend, my friend.

The ruthless death takes all that you hold dear:
your ladylove and your best friend, my friend,

your dog, your money, your unpaid invoices
and, surely, you but let's pretend, my friend,

that death is just a speculative concept
that we have yet to comprehend, my friend.

Senses

The senses are intended to mislead
a man in love. I know, his watchful eye
can see the angels flying in the sky
but drawbacks of his ladylove, indeed.

He's ears sharp enough to hear a bead
of water working rocks, a quiet sigh
of endless starless space and even thy
conspiratorial whisper, thinking reed.

But he is deaf to platitudes, buzzwords,
suburban accent, vulgarisms and odds
and ends because he listens to the sound

of metaphysic harmonies inside
his own heart. He keeps eyes open wide
to see love crossing its transcendent bound.

Why Am I

I was all alone,
My juvenile lost;
As deserted land,
Always yearned for quenching thirst;
Explored ambiance for moist vapour,
To form thundery wet cloud;
Lost in illusion world,
In quest of 'who I was';
Never knew where I was,
Roved subconsciously,
In pursuit of finding "Me";
Never could know without
Accomplishing the utmost karma,
Entrusted by spiritual lord;
Never seen him but perceived,
Felt when I was sad;
Then as a reflecting mirror,
A ladylove came in my life,
Vision of me could see in her;
Her attraction was enticing welcome,
Cohere both together as one;
Explore the next stage,
Giving life new one;
For what I was for,
On this earth for;

I met him while walking,
   and the coffee shop- soon we were talking.
He was a friendly man,
and our friendship began.
On nice days we ran,
   while running he listened- I was babbling.

Telling my life story,
   he was older but handsome and brainy.
A storyteller too,
we fit like an old shoe.
His blue eyes were see-through,
   in those eyes I saw a soul of beauty.

And soon we were holding hands,
   our new relationship had no demands.
I just accepted love,
and saw red hearts above.
I was his ladylove,
   he kissed me- I wanted to do headstands.

Then, he told me something,
   his job was moving- come with me darling.
I was sad and broken,
filled with dark depression.
Could I, my own life shun,
   when we meet- my heart is left bleeding.

Premium MemberMy Fragile Heart

Make not a farce nor lessen my lament,
your weeping stains will hide my mask of dreams
for poison feeds your nocuous intent,
revealing naught of pain through silent screams.

Another victim broken lost and drained
gets left to cry with feelings stretched and strained.
I whispered coos to you my turtledove
left crushed beneath the words of ladylove.

Enough of sorrow's dim lit candle flamed
held close to flicker out as I but breathe
engulfed as if with magic, wild, untamed
as never more this love I will reprise.

Released I'll live again, my soul will soar
to know my fragile heart will break no more.

Premium MemberDreams Are More Than Just Fairytales

(Free Verse)

I never believed before,that dreams came true,
Part of me never believed, in such a fairy tales,
But then as time passes, and leaves behind me all its marks...
It's for so many years,now,thatI've learned, that nothing is impossible after all...

If you just stop for a moment and open up your heart,
Your mind will follow through, right behind,once you make that choice,
And desires will materialize, somehow, all your dreams,with sweetness;
And rekindle,with so much fire,again as never before, all your soul...

So then, believe! and grab your dreams, and never once stop believing,
'Cause, that's what really keeps us moving,and makes us come alive and much... stronger,
Open up your heart and all your mind,at least a little bit,and give yourself another chance...
That the window that you open now,will give you sooner or later, in time,another reason,to survive.

Premium MemberDearest Solace

(Rhyme)

When we greet the smiling sunlight,
The torch, be yours and mine to hold it high,
To quench the insidious flames of the night.

The heart's dearest solace, will smile wide
On me and you there,
And the birds singing gayly, that came at my
Call, and exiled far from home,riches from the
Far East,brings in the air

I gaze on the moon as I tread carefully, over the crest,
Of the beautiful snow,
With and eye like a crystal, and a heart kindled like
All its glow...

Like little ripples down on a sunny river,
Forever hunted by the eternal mind and soul,
No longer my soul can you hold and explain
The reasons why...

For passion and conquest, wonder where they
Will and dwell,
Watched by every human love and kinded heart,and
Thoughts that often lie someplace else, too broken
For more mourning and more tears.

Premium MemberHis Wondrous Love

(Free Style)

Love was all that He teaches us
Since the day He was born
And that took place two-thousand
Years ago this morn

His wondrous love
Transcends all we know
From child to grown adult
With all my love to Him I bow

There's nothing in the world
That He couldn't do for you
He knows all your needs
And what's best for you too

He lefts us the Holy Bible to read
And spread it all over the world,as He has said.
