Premium MemberShe Decided to Make Him the Rest of Her Life

He made her feel like a princess, a bride, an angel, a queen.
She had never had a love like this before.
Others did not understand, because of the age thing.
She did not see his age above his kindnesses and his love.

Whether they had five years together or five days
She decided to make him the “rest of her life”.
Their romance was a whirlwind of respect and fun.
When it was over, she could not let him go.

She carried his urn to all of their old haunts.
The carnival, the video arcade, the beach.
Every place was full of memories.
She would never forget him; he had raised her awarenesses.
She had never felt more witty, more exciting or more loved.

Premium MemberStevie, Earth Angel

Stevie, Earth Angel

You were born blind
Eyes that could not see the beauty
Of your own sweet smile
Yet you saw beauty
in the people who loved you
 and discerned every intention.

You were born with Cerebral Palsy
You could not speak a word
Could not convey
 the kindnesses you thought
Yet you spoke love and trust so loudly
to those who took time to hear you.
The nonsense sounds and utterings
Became sweet music
your family understood.
"I do too Ceeka"
"I love you too Stevie."

Your fragile body, withered and broken,
 was unable to move freely...
unable to walk or dance
to the music you held so dear.

Yet in my dreams
 you walk to me,
You dance to
majestic angel songs.

I am blessed to have known
your innocent soul...
but heaven is where
you have always belonged.

"Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses"
- Confucius

With the flowing stream of my being, tributaries join
Chrystal clear or coal like black, I embrace them all gladly.
Each atom of my existence has been the widow's coin.
I spent not in richness but to give my mite joyfully.

I carry each flower that falls. Do I leave any leaf?
An ant or an elephant—every one I reach their shore
Single-mindedness in joining the sea is my belief.
Unity in diversity is the faith of my core.

Amidst threatening birds and beasts, are the jungles frightened?
Has the universe, for the sake of strange stars, stopped its course?
How many blossoms adorn each little temple garland?
Shouldn't I, ultimately, go to my primary source?

I flow on, amalgamating within me one and all.
I do not know, lo, who on earth is great and who is small.

“Forget injuries,
         never forget kindnesses.”
                             _by Confucius

Life stalls and whirls,
so full of balances;
with rhythmic tides,
it has an ebb and flow.
As they turn full,
all relish in the bliss;
conversely,
most are sad when tides run low.

Confluence helps
to balance changing tides:
while traveling on waves
of those most high-
then resting thoughts
when we are bound to lows;
remembering each peak
that helped us fly.

Most are sad when tides run low;
conversely,
all relish in the bliss
as they turn full.
It has an ebb and flow
with rhythmic tides;
so full of balances-
life stalls and whirls.

Premium MemberHigh Fidelity

Do you know my friend named Faith?
With trust in God, she treks through inconveniences,
stepping sprightly over them
with supreme optimism.

Smiling with ease, she saunters
along her life’s path, sure-stepping
for always she knows the way to go.
In the darkest of her days,
she still marches on;
a soldier of hope is she.
Some nights, she strolls,
face toward the heavens,
searching for the Star of David
so keen are her convictions.

To her friends and family,
she is an angel
ambling happily alongside them
and slowing down to lift them up
should they stumble and fall.

She loves her man
with the heart of a loyal lioness,
and he cannot help but reciprocate
her many kindnesses.
Do you know this woman?
Her faithfulness is to the sky,
for she’s got
high fidelity.

Premium Membershe was demure dainty and kind

Charlie recognized grandma's neighbor Teresa the instant she looked up.
He had not seen her for ten years, but he remembered her kindnesses.
When grandma passed he felt too miserable to play with her kittens.
Teresa took it upon herself to look after the tiny beasts.
She also talked her parents into letting her take them home.
Which alleviated a huge problem for his parents who were allergic to cats.
Along with her kind eyes he found a kindred spirit and a beautiful smile.
Could I take you to lunch? He asked her.
Teresa nodded without words.
She was still demure and dainty.
His heart began building dreams.

Premium MemberWhat Really Matters

Matters of the heart

Only matters in part

Matters of the mind

Only matters if you find

A connection of the two

And together when you're through

The only thing that matters

Are the kindnesses you do

Premium MemberDee Is Wooed By Lee

Dee was the kind of a bunny who wanted romantic love.
Her gentleman caller was sent from somewhere way up above.
Lee was polite, smart, dapper, and he brought carrots so sweet.
His polite manners, and daily kindnesses were a welcome treat.
She felt horrible when he told her that he was moving to Kalamazoo.
Until he said “Of course, you are coming, for I am marrying you.”

Premium MemberBeauty Is Love

Beauty is not your eyes, your hair, your heart-shaped face.
Beauty is not your long svelte legs or your gorgeous curves.
Beauty is kindnesses you do unto others.
Beauty is empathy.
Beauty is confident in her ways.
Beauty is love.

Premium MemberShelly Looks Uppity But She Is Far From It

Shelly looks stuck up but she is far from it.
Many do not know her the least little bit.
Children who visit her see a pure heart.
Her kindnesses to them she’ll gladly impart.

We who do not know her, make judgements fast.
Shelly looks uppity, however, if she knew this she would be aghast.
She has a stern look, imposing, but it does not reflect her soul.
To dine with her on Christmas Eve is a child’s ultimate goal.
