To the Silver Moon

The silver moon against the indigo sky,
As I look and wonder will I ever find my true love 
And if not why?
Each year I watched my sisters marry and move on, 
All of them gone now even the youngest one.
I simply smiled to keep back the tears,
But it’s hard to keep smiling all these years.
So again Mr. Moon I ask when will it be?
When will some man notice me?
When will happiness end this misery?

Drowning Garden

In the final week they still swept their floors.
A gate was mended on the third last day -
the people in the village so stuck in their way,
that some, in leaving, even locked their doors
as if to keep back the dam tide -
frail wooden levees that will not hold.
They die hard: the habits of old,
and cannot be casually cast aside.

There is a nephilim here, in the leafy dark,
staking his plants and pulling out weeds,
though the distant coffer dam is broken.
As in the days of Noah and his ark,
the gardener labours in vain for vain needs,
ignoring the government prophecy spoken.

Reminder To Myself

Start by getting up

Then getting dressed 

Then leave the house and figure it out from there

A good morning ritual can awaken a dying spirit

Life is what you see through your own eyes, so grab that positive persona from the closet 

And put on your reflection instead of that gloomy frown

Easier said than done

But just take one step at a time and you’ll be progressing farther than where you begun

You probably heard that one before, so what makes this any different

Well the difference is you and how you feel

So, the next time you feel down remember one step forward is just as easy as tomorrow but as hard as yesterday

So, you’re better off focusing on today, and today say “I am who I am, no more no less, I will be who I want to be one day

And until that day comes I will keep back packing knowledge and lessons for my personal journey”

Your story may not be the best but no one has one like it, so before you give up remember the sun is there even if you can’t see it

There will always be a bright side 

Even when the shadows are all you can see

p.s. remember to say to yourself just be myself…just be me…

But when I stop my talking I am wroth
My mind turns straight to soul 
As my temperature begins to boil

I like to hang out with John I like to keep back with Jane 
But when left alone my mine turned straight towards the soul 
What's wrong, what's going on 
But I just think back to the song 
And I'm happy once again cuz I got Jesus

The Power Is Out

The power is out
but rather than pout
I'll sit down and write a few rhymes

It makes me so happy
to write something snappy
when life throws me lemons or limes

My eccentricity
denied electricity
comes out in the open to play

Without hesitation
my imagination
shall leave quite a mark on this day

When out of the norm
one still must perform
to keep the mind sharpened and clear

For when you stay focused
you'll keep back the locust
from turning your peace into fear

The lights are back on
and the silence is gone
the hum of my fridge is so nice

Out of rhymes I have run
so my poem is done
and it came at a cheap enough price

Peace From Within

Peace From Within

a hush upon the immense solitude alone,
 brush off the silence torn in meager illusion

 we felt faint upon the setting of the sun
 to keep back the resistance with a sign

 I sensed a great stirring inside my soul
 at first a glimmer of light to unfold

 spinning circles inside my brain
 no point in comfort lest I refrain

 this source comes from heaven above with a touch of love
 hope springs a new as it flourished on the vine

 created and crafted by a great design
 there are lines being drawn in the sand

 when will we face the day and ever understand
 shadows perched throughout the duration of my thoughts

 hands, feet & heart
 this shall light the inner spark to what I needed to know

 Come inside and take a deeper look and you will see
 Torn illumination & hearts being set free

 while we live each day in the land of make believe
 what are we about to achieve

 A sought after excursion from the hand of God
 filter through its extreme with his heavenly rod

Keep back

You are an object in my rear view mirror
You may appear closer than you are

Keep your distance

Sudden breaking

This vehicle is reversing

This vehicle is emptied overnight

Dusty Wind of the Coachella Valley

Spring has spent her youth
her hours have swiftly gone
summer comes burning like an aching tooth
Dusty wind blow softly on

Keep back the blasting heat
that leaves no stone to rest upon
the very earth burns the feet
Dusty wind blow softly on

Gently kiss one last spring flower
bury her seed before your powers wan
awaiting silently some spring shower
Dusty wind blow softly on.

The All-Clear

Perhaps, I might be blind at anytime,
The present, I know, I'd beaten the time.
Though then, I was down in the dumps
Now, I cocks an ear and eye at the pumps.
Now, I'm not living in cloud cuckoo land,
I behold facts in what is my hand.
Power shouldn't hold onto word-smith,
But should be based on the worldly-wise,
With the think-thank aides and not filth.
That 'll keep cries in check for the rise.
If you can't beat them, convince them
And not to turn your back like Satan.
Set the pace for those at the helm
And don't keep back plans as though isn't your clan.

Heaven kisses earth 
In Holy refining Fire
Here you bore me 
At the foot of the Cross
Your blood flowed
Washed me
Here you gave me birth 
In such travail

I know not how 
You could have borne this anguish
This excruciating pain
My pure true - Turtle Dove
You willingly laid down your perfect life
Allowed them to take away
Your heart
The place of Your Sacred Flame
It was this that released me from 
Hells domain

So holy is your love 
So fervent is your desire 
For my heart
Can I keep anything back from you? 
Your eyes are like dove’s eyes
Imploring
So soulful 
So earnest 
So fervently concerned 
Lest I be lost in Hell’s desire forever

No! 
There is nothing I can keep back-
From You-My darling
My one and only true love
I am won by your pure Love
Forever
At the secret place where we met
The place where heart and heaven meet
The place of your earnest Love 
For my soul 
The Cross 
Your total commitment 
Has won - me
I am yours- forever.

My Precious Mother

Not a day passes by without my shedding a tear
For my precious mother who left me more than a year.
No one can replace her now that she has gone away
Making me wish that there were no 24 hours in a day.
Without her now my life is never the same
How I miss her sweet voice calling out my name.
When I look at her smiling picture on the wall
It seems as if she has not left me at all.
When I kiss her photo before going to sleep at night
It makes me keep back tears that are difficult to fight.
The pain was not there on the day of her passing away
It is there now when without her I have to live each day.

If Allah do any harm to you
No one else but Allah can remove it
If He wants to do some good to you
There’s none to keep back His favors a bit
He gives it to the servants of His liking

When You

when you are going through tough times in your life. 
why do you keep eyeing that knife.
when you your heart is numb like bombers come
why dont you send the troops to fight back.
when you heart is down, and it cant go any further.
why do you look like death is knocking.
when you lose your love.
why keep back everything
when you are lying with out hope
why give up.
when your heart is near death.
why accept it.
when you cant trust.
you block out everyone who might be your love.
when you cant love. 
why is your heart full of hatred.
im waiting for you.
i know u can pull through.
when you see me 
why do i have to take a knee.
when you make choices
its up to you if they're going to bring you down or back up.

Deny Involvement

Everybody, except the not to be quoted 
are no longer
so when above
Sitting among, resting along
Gather round, find some good static
half the world thinks them otherwise
consuming quickly, noticed for awile
 Easy to do 
Nothing else to be done
 then forget how to live
play prepare God save you, says the citizen
is something to be coming out now? 
tickled baptized corpses clutter ....for you
how about the idea of maybe
...maybe all in error are energizing
Removed for relaxation
 going unrepresented
 I cant take my eyes off of
Everybodies got a famous first name!
If you could stop that continue with this weigh in
AFTER THIS!
to hear your sounds
herd off you , stray all sheep
wont help to abide
never an adequate outside
partake over & over
ahead of others decayed,
but included in heaven....never well put-together
Keep back collapsing caved souls
say, how do you express that everday
away from the more likely
 up come the destruction of the sun
what makes you laugh more than
you DO want SOMETHING
what an innapropriate time to crave a milkshake
