The White Ribbon in the Wind

To Atbin.

Another flick, a spark,
Once more awakened the past
Illustrating memories
Are alive and always last.

I recall your visage with
Its veins, its charm, and grace
Some invisible griefs,
Behind of that bony face.

Your tender artistic look,
At a silly Rubik’s parts,
Made your endless affection,
dwell in our empty hearts.

You were our J. Keating of
Weir’s ingenious mind
And that "Remembrance Fest"
That you held: one of a kind.

To our liveliest friend,
We had toasted, and cheered
But I saw a bloody band
On your thin wrist appeared.

You smoked and you spoke,
With your own personal tone:
"A dead soul would never need,
All of these; to be well known,

Look at the living, hey kiddo!
And cherish their real worth.”
I stared at the white band:
Accessible, open source…

I thought it should be a band,
You could have tied it with care
Upon a pretty girl’s
Glowing and blonde hair.

Not as a merciless rope,
Tight around the skinny neck
But just like the sign of love,
Danced by the wind in a lake.

Hey, my friend! don’t frown,
Let me exactly define,
Not a regret for the dead,
But as an amity sign.

[Foreigner]
waiting for a girl like you -
the wild flower by the gate

[Phil Collins]
another day in paradise -
my love chalice filled and refilled

[The Beatles]
here comes the sun -
furtively she draws the curtain to my heart

[Creedence Clearwater Revival]
have you ever seen the rain?
I was blind to unspoken love

[Simon & Garfunkel]
the sound of silence -
we dance to the rhythm of our hearts

[Lady Antebellum]
need you now -
the rose petals keep falling…down

[A Rocket to the Moon]
baby blue eyes -
heaven reflected in the swell of the sea

[Mary Hopkin]
those were the days
…and then your hand slipped out of mine

[Sting]
fields of gold -
the setting sun ripples on water

[Ronan Keating]
when you say nothing at all -
searching for reassurance in your eyes

 A national treasure
Lies here at rest.
Robin Williams
A comedic best!
So many characters
He brought to life
...
Mork, Mr Keating
Mrs Doubtfire,
A bright blue genie
Granting wishes when required
...
A true inspiration
A gentle soul
His gifts, his skills
Matched each role.
And this dear man,
Though sleeping here,
Is a talent that will live on
For many more years.

Halloween Tragedy

HALLOWEEN TRAGEDY

There was a young lad, Joe Keating
Disappeared whilst trick or treating
The poor lad took flight
One Halloween night
Due to severe overeating.

As he made his way through the streets
Each house that he called on had treats
He should have said no
Or taken it slow
But he had a weakness for sweets

He stuffed all they gave him and soon,
Puffed up like a gas-filled balloon,
He floated on high,
Right up to the sky
And now he’s the man in the moon.

Eating

Jim Robinson Keating really likes eating,
He eats seven times a day,
The amount he’s consuming,
His stomach is blooming,
The amount he is putting away,
Nothing is wasted,everything tasted,
His jaws working all through the day,
Night time is for sleeping,
Not for Jim Robinson Keating,
His jaws are still working away,
Now so much fatter,
He said “it don’t matter “
Who’s life is it anyway!
But one day he exploded,
Cause innards eroded,
It was bound to happen some say,
So watch what you eat,
And keep yourself neat,
And you will keep healthy and trim,
So you won’t cause commotion
And lots of emotion,
When you go off as a rocket like Jim !

Tribute To Robin Williams

Give Them His Love

Wife was beautiful when she walked by
And she always, really caught my eye
Like someone I never saw before
Who I would want to see much more.

My husband always troubled had been
And my life, at times, he would not let in;
What happened to him I had supposed
Was in on him his world had closed.

Wherever he was or had tried to be
No one could ever see his REAL ME
And times to himself he had lied;
With garrotte committed suicide.

In heaven, no longer has a worry or care
Which in past was hard for him to bare
And now while he's high in heaven above,
As you look at everyone, give them his love.
