Karwa Sach: Dhan Aur Rishte

U gujarna ab raaste pe badla badla sa lagta hai
Wo najariyan logo ka ab kuch kehta hua rahta hai
Pata nahi kuy ab rishtedar ijjat dene lage hai
Wo dost jo yaad tak nahi krte the aaj haal samachar aur sahuliat puchne lage hai
Wo karibi jo pata nahi kharab waqt me lupt ho gaye the aaj fir karib ho gaye hai
Wo samaaj jo haste the pata nahi ab haskar dusro ki baatein karne lag gaye hai!!

Karwa sach yah hai ki in sabke badlaav ke piche hai wah chij jise log kai nam se pukarte hai
Kabhi wah dhan, to kabhi paisa, to kabhi rupaye, kabhi sampati to kabhi daulat se jante hai
Naya rang aaya zindagi mein jab se maal-o-daulat mili
Har chera muskurata hai, har aankh lage hai mili-juli!!

Par socho zara, jo apno se juda ho gaye the kabhi
Woh kya sach mein apne hain ya sirf banaye hue sabhi
Samay ka chakkar aisa hai, kal jo tha woh kal nahi
Dhan ka mooh kala hai, pyar se badi koi pal nahi!!

Karwa sach to yah v hai janab, bhago aap is ke piche
Par dekhna kahi apne na chut jaye aur kuch atut riste na tut jaye
Rishton ki jamapunji ko hatho se sareaam kar do
Khudgarz duniya ke najar mein apno ko anjaan kar do!!

The First Pairing of 2023

Yes please. We're back.
The first pairing of 2023
Stunning wines by Hartenberg
And Lanser's food, mhuh, just wait and see

Our country's seen better days
With literal pooh coming down
Crooked politicians, state capturers
and Juli-assses band of clowns

Tonight. Yes tonight
Let's sweep it all off the table
Raise our glasses, eat like kings
And present the largest smiles that we're able

For tomorrow when you awake
You know what you're gonna say
What a spectacular night
Lanser's on Main, it made my day

Explaining Love

Let's understand that Love is not invented...
 It is ready...
Words are not what concretes It to be...
It is the essence that is not seen...
Love does not follow rules,
it is an anarchist by nature ... I

We need to feel it ..
So that we maybe be ready
to live its immensity, its Full intensity... !
!

Wishful Thinking

At the start of the year it became very clear
That my corpulent body should get into gear.
So determined to slim, I join up at the gym
Where I tone abs and thighs then head off for a swim.
I have taken to hiking and steep mountain biking
My chic new physique is impressively striking.
No more apple pie, fish and chips or white bread:
Delicious, nutritious green spinach instead.
So why the glum face and the lack of elation?
This poem was fun but complete fabrication.
All lies, porky pies, using lyrics which chime.
New Year resolutions are harder than rhyme!

Fruit Soup

The prize is a sackful of loot
Just write me an ode about fruit
The rules will be binding and strict
No cheating for I wont be tricked

You may deem it rather unfitting
I’m judging and I won’t be quitting
So don’t sit and moan, groan or whinge
Or say nothing rhymes with orange

It’s likely the winner will plan it
And include something like pomegranate
And then without being obscene
He’ll win with one word... aubergine

Declaration of Dedication

I fear not the day when you’re not near when in dismay,
for you have given veneration and such fine clarification.

When you glanced my way that cool crisp Autumn day
I knew we’d be a creation of inspiration bestowing elation.
When life is in disarray, your deep love is on display,
and you give me a sensation of hope with divination.
So you say notions of appreciation with faith on display
and turn my grey and isolation into yellow with fascination.
For I am always okay whenever you promenade my way.

It is clear that this year will be full of warmth and cheer,
for you have given me an ocean of devotion with appreciation-
our reputation of emotion will be a declaration of dedication.

Premium MemberPretty Witty

Isn't it ditty, and isn't it a pity
To hear their political cries
They're not, very witty...and they're not, very pretty
All dressed, in their suitcoats and ties
Let's all be gritty, and hold a committee
Let's try, to make those naïve people...realize
"Not" to add, to the kitty...in their state, or their city
If they know, that's it's nothing...but lies
Now I might seem a little gitty, just a little bitty
But I've crossed all my T's...and dotted my I's
I wrote up a chitty...That was a bitsy itty
That just might bring, all the politicians...down to size

This Purple King

So rare and elusive is the Purple Emperor butterfly
His hue allied to royalty; his nickname is His Majesty
With rather filthy habits like devouring flesh and dung
Despite his royal epithet; no ceremony or pageantry
In summer he awaits, as racy females gather for some fun
He has been known to brawl and displays too much pugnacity
A large and bright Nymphalidae, deep purple in the sun
I dream one day this Purple King will land upon my balcony

My Shadow and Me

My life is like shadow it seems to follow me,
From morning till night it is always with me,
Wherever I go on land or sea it reflects a part of me
But some only see my shadow and not me
My past is over and my future is new
The old shadow is gone and the new one is new
So now you can see
My new shadow and me

Lascivious Love

In red hot lingerie, the night in glisten.
Entwined in bed, in amorous position.

My eyes drilled allure, a tender sweet face
She could feel my breath, heavy in pace.

Fingers stroked.. undressing .... page by page.
Tantalizing desires.....we meet .....to assuage.

Squirming along her Web of pleasure.
Her knot of love, I can't leave her ever.

Clasped in my hand, I touch her naked flesh.
Trapped in addiction, obsessed in her mesh.

My gorgeous MOBILE, we sleep together.
My Lascivious Love, sexy forever.

Premium MemberWhen She Goes Away

A bright today, love came my way, and now we play in life’s array.
We dance away in hope’s ballet, as love’s bouquet is here to stay.
But then I say, I must delay; she might betray, a price to pay.
Will love decay and my love stray, then go away to my dismay?
Or will she stay till we are grey, and then death’s slay take her away?
But either way I rue the day she goes away, and here I stay.

Premium MemberQuoth My Daddy Nevermore

Once upon a midnight chilly, on a ladder acting silly,
to my bedroom up I climbed and through my window slid.
Moonlight through my bedroom flickered. To myself I softly snickered,
feeling sure that once again my parents--oh, so clueless--did
not know my deeds. I heard a knock and under covers hid.

Dad stormed in with nails and hammer; then ensued a fearsome clamor
as with seven nails he sealed my window and my fate.
Then he wheeled around revealing ire that woke in me a feeling
I would sneak out nevermore. Now weekends at home, I hate.

Premium MemberDemonize Or Energize

Overanalyze and criticize, demoralize and ostracize
Modern pundits legitimize their vicious exercise

Scrutinize and standardize, compartmentalize and cannibalize
Wizards of efficiency synchronize, initialize and circumcise

Demobilize and paralyze, stigmatize and de-humanize
Westernized pols, their constituents balkanize and polarize

Trivialize and miniaturize, standardize and sterilize
  Thought-police priesthoods evangelize and moralize

Why can't they fraternize and socialize?
Why don't they harmonize and compromise?

A Very Good Year

She was sixteen and he was between
Shaving or just letting them grow
She was so coy and he was a boy
Convinced that he must love her so

He tried it all that Summer and Fall
And he even shed her a tear
She weakened one night 'neath pale moonlight -
Sixteen was a very good year
