She's so damn blunt
You could smoke her truth
she makes me long
For my unapologetic youth

Back in the days

before what I said
mattered so much
when I didn't care
if I said I love you
too much

Before I cared
what people thought
When my opinions
were my own
and couldn't be bought

Before I started slowing
down around each corner
When I was still a rebel
and not a joiner

Before I started giving
multiple s
I relied solely
on my instinct and luck

Now I sit back
and watch her bravado
lighting her way
as she reminds me
of someone I knew
yesterday

Premium Member A Connection Ignited Gary and Sue

Life is indeed a funny old game
it's pathways and bends go many a way
many crossroads come to our minds
making decisions to go or just to stay

There was a young chap called Gary
decent quiet nice mannered was he
company was hard especially among girls
felt apprehensive among any not at all free

One day he was walking on his own
met a lady much older with her dog
who asked him what was his job
a joiner by trade at night wrote a blog

He did a few jobs for this lady called Sue
putting up some shelves, made a new door
they got to know each other very well
each one having affection all the more

They went out for meals together
many walks together hand in hand
a fire was burning within each other
this relationship, could it truly stand

So Gary and Sue were now an item
though many years divided their range
both didn't care for love connected them
for them, this 'affair' wasn't at all strange

In the midnight hour, Sue saw
a vision in the dark sky above
one word came down, YES
Gary proposed to say You I love

( This is a fictional write where young meets providentially someone older and they click romantically in love)

David Hill

David was told by his parents when a child,
That he “could do anything [he] wanted to,
no matter [his] ability.” They lived near sea,
So they taught him to swim as a small kid.

He loved it, and his first Para discipline,
Was swimming, so in the backstroke 100m,
He reached the final in Athens 2004, in S9,
And won many medals at the Worlds, Euros.

He then joined the GB para-triathlon squad,
In 2013 and became known in this event,
‘Cos he raced in almost every international,
And his clocked up fast speeds and times.

In 2016, the Lisbon ETU Triathlon Euros,
David finished in 01:03:47 in class PT4;
In the Strathclyde ITU World Paratriathlon,
David raced a time of 01:03:14, hot stuff.

In the Besançon ITU World Paratriathlon,
He made 59.35, and in the GBR Nationals,
He raced in 01:02:43. In Rio he was tenth,
With a time of 01:08:38, 1 hour, 8 minutes.

Born without a lower left arm, he works,
As a joiner, and his most favourite movie,
Is Finding Nemo ‘cos of the swimming.
His favourite film actor is Robin Williams.

A Mind Robber

A Mind Robber

Out of my mind had made a spectacle
Because about everything I was skeptical
And when upside down had been landing
Commanding lead were not understanding.

What was wrong with my awful approach
When on all others it always did encroach
And is reason many are now hysterical
After finding out I am horribly heretical.

Maybe it just might have been mitosis
Combined together causing a meiosis
As result of some resounding synapsis
That probably suffered from many mishapses.

I am beginning to believe without any doubt
This is what Trump truly is really about
But instead of being a joiner and bright healer
Was presumed seen in Pittsburg being a Steeler.

Ho Ho Jim Horn

Trump is a robber and stealer of people's minds
As well as scalper of their behinds.

So Glad To Be Here

spring is here
everybody is happy
for once i am a member
so glad to be here

flowers are blooming
everybody is smiling
for once i am a joiner
so glad to be here

birds are really singing
everybody is upbeat
for once i am involved
so glad to be here

travel plans are being made
everybody is excited
from now on....me too....hell yeah!
i am here to stay!
