Our Boy Wonder

Boy Wonder Amazes the World

The boy wonder
is indeed a wonder to behold
As he flirts about the stage
Doing his Daddy’s in law’s bidding

He beams, he smiles, he beguiles
He lies so sweetly
With his baby boy face
His smirk
His rich bad boy persona

Letting us all
Into the cosmic joke
That he is indeed
Our boy wonder

Jared

 Jared
Beautiful, strong
singing, traveling, smiling
Exhilaration, Thrilled, Unrestrained, Delirious
Stunning.

Treasures forever.
Hopes perpetually.
Beckons tenderly.
Delights trust; honors everlastingly.
Devotes faithfully heart soaring elating.

Caressing faithfully souls serving,

Rondel Pain (For the Rondel Contest Sponsored By: Jared Pickett)

Rondel Pain

Poetry can inflict pain like a sharp rondel dagger,
Encircling each word with bigoted judgments on hand.
Down a spiral staircase a poet’s thoughts may stagger.
Semi-circular fashioned, ideas traverse memories’ span.

Hysterical, political…subject does not matter.
Orderliness and cleverness mete out the author’s plan.
Poetry can inflict pain like a sharp rondel dagger,
Encircling each word with bigoted judgments on hand.

Banter securely bound, released by creative augur.
Can choose many words found in vocabulary land.
Lexis gone thrilling can kill the heart of an iceman –
Stop, please! Choose kindly words; become a pain free enabler.
Poetry can inflict pain like a sharp rondel dagger.

Jared

I sit and think what my life would be like without you
here to share all that it contains
Isit in awe and wonder if you are really you
I feel so free without these chains
That I felt like had been put on me and you unlocked me
How can I repay such a debt?
You saw me as a cacoon and as a butterfly set me free
In this world that has somuch hate and regret
You saw something in me I did not
You gave me a chance which I would not have had
I cannot deny this feeling I've got
Late at night while I lay on my pillow so sad
Wishing you were there to cuddle with me
So I could make you feel what I do
Just wanting you so close to me
So I can tell you "Thank you"
