jaunty jack-o-lantern joined
jingly jangly janitors’ July jamboree
jaundiced Jasper, Jack’s jackhammer
juggled and jostled the journey in jovial jollity.
Jovial Jukebox Julep juxtaposed Jasper and Jack’s
jonquils, joining the July Jubilee
Javelin, a jazzy jaybird, jangled Judy’s jaguar,
who jabbered jokingly and jauntily.

The governor galloped toward the gallows
Goblins, ghosts, ghouls gathering in the hallows.
Witches and warlocks wandered in with the weather.
Halloween hurried and harried, hawking heady heather.
Jackpot jack-o-lanterns jabbered with a jubilant jab.
Harboring happiest Halloween Halifax ever had.
Dapper debonair devils danced in dubious delight.
Freaky frightening flesh-eaters were a most frightening sight.
We wee wondrous wanderers were wickedly scared.
An adventurous enlightening Halloween party by adults who all cared.

jazzy jezebel Jerry jabbered generously
in a jury-loving jerk-water town.
Her jimdandy jiggery-pokery jingling
in a jokingly jolly way, at her joyless jobsite,
jiggling jealous jobbers into a juicy jeopardy.

we've all done it
or we used to do it
nowadays we can feign
sending messages
in touch-and-go back streets
in dodgy areas at night
in the office to appear
being busy
to avoid babbling
with a colleague
to avoid a bothersome
old lady at the bus stop
bell didn't invent the
gossipy horn
he jibber-jabbered
with the mutt
which is another
prop you could
pretend to be
chewing the fat with
talk with a stuffed animal
talk with a photo
talk with a tomato plant
talk with the mirror
sweden had their
own phone number
so you could pretend
to be talking to them

The boatman jabbered, “Ten rupees for each,
For a cool ride down the Chilika Lake”,
We egged on the elders, their child within,
The wooden boat, barely a few feet long,
Holding hands, brown and sturdy we climbed on,
Through the obtuse bending, welcomed us warm,
The boatman oars, stirs still waters about,
Tall grasses tickle the sides of the boat,
Nudging it slow, out of the serene shore,
The soft mud surfaced, soon bubbled away,
A leaf large of lotus gladly made way,
The frog caught lounging, swiftly dived away,
The evening sky, bright orange and gleaming,
A beautiful sun preparing to ease,
Right under the horizon, cackling geese,
Jellyfish soaring to breathe in the play,
White bodies against transient amber haze,
Surrounding our boat to pay their homage
Graceful ivory cranes, their young and new,
Downy feathers fluff, their eyes start to droop,
In the tangerine sundown, sight to scoop,
The bank reached, the journey hypnotic,
As the beauty of nature, exotic,
A mystic boat ride on Chilika Lake!

Heather and I took a walk,
Now Heather's a fine young pup,
She ambles along, and doesn't talk
And looks over, down and up.
Two squawking jays jabbered by,
One befor the other,
Laughing, crying, shrieking sigh,
Looking for another.
Flashing yellow,
Black bound border
Fleeting fellow,
Fluid order.

We had a steel-coiled fence
that kept us apart; kept in purity,
spoke out in purity.
We played Barbies in a tree that
bordered each side, not knowing
it had a
zone.
Our Barbie world was created;
dresses hung on branches
little mirrors for wee doll hands;
leaves assigned our closets.
I gibbered and you jabbered, and
the worst thing happened, I learnt
English, but what happened to your
French?
Language traveled through the holes
of our steel-coiled fence.

Timothy the mouse, once went to school,
With all his pencils and books.
He annoyed his principal, his teachers and friends
And all the cafeteria's cooks.
He threw paper airplanes and giggled and laughed,
And jibbered and jabbered and yelled.
The class bully squeaked and everyone shrieked,
When Timothy tied a knot in his tail.
Timothy, Timothy, you naughty little mouse,
Why are you always so mean?
You hurt other's feelings, and tails and ears,
You've caused all this pain, have you seen?
Timothy the mouse hung his head in shame,
And slowly wiped a tear from his eye.
He felt very sorry for what he had done,
And all the others that he had made cr
