there was nothing else to talk about
we were at an impasse
our paths diverging here and now
closing in on a bittersweet goodbye

“Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?” Shakespeare asked.*
I suspect we are living in just such a time, indeed,
When we must weigh the irreconcilable paradox:
Whether one or the other is a better course to take
For a nation festering internally over flawed values,
National purpose, and deep systemic divisiveness.
We need leaders who are willing to do the hard work
Of governing with compassionate strength,
With level-headed articulation of the national will,
While recognizing we will always face good trouble!

(*with appreciation for the quotation from
Hamlet by William Shakespeare)

I Am here now and everywhere
Universe held within my womb
I Am awareness, self-aware
Wandering in this catacomb

I Am the one, I Am the two
I Am here now and everywhere
Power that lets life breath renew
Infusing hope in heart’s despair

One in all, all in one; truth dare
Vaporised self, one with oneness
I Am here now and everywhere
Throb of vibrant bliss in fullness

I Am He, who sees no others
To see Me, simply with love pair
All existence one, soul brothers
I Am here now and everywhere

Irreconcilable Paradox

Law of karma states our karma boomerangs
We get back what we give
Hate begets hate, help gives help
If we do bad, bad will happen to us

This obviously implies that those who do bad to us
are doing so under the direction of God
because God wants to punish us

Does that mean bad doers are exempt from law of karma?
That we should accept all miseries without trying for solution
That everytime we do something bad
we should see God working through us and not repent

But that doesn't happen
All are punished for every mistake

It seems God is making us do bad deeds
 and punishing for same.

If that's the case why should scriptures exhort us
to do good deeds?

An irreconcilable paradox indeed

Irreconcilable Paradox

Disciples sought veracity
From their guru beneath his tree
The great one scoffed with a look sly
“The truth to tell I always lie!”

Irreconcilable Paradox

Space walking

Dream talking,

Tip toeing

On glistening stars

Radiating hearts,

Crossing cosmic voids

Not know where we are,

Stepping in to unknown realms

And not afraid to do so,

Travelling at hyperspeed

Then drifting real slow,

To take in the cosmic beauty

To dwell here in the dream,

To do a bit of space walking

And drink in the scene,

I find myself in darkness

Attracted by black holes,

Dare I enter into one

Will time itself then fold,

Or will it take me to new dimensions

Way beyond our ken,

Will I then be able

To travel back again,

And would it even matter

If I find a new life paradise,

What if it turns out to be

The most amazing sight,

Would you stay or take

That one big leap of faith,

Knowing that you may never

Comeback and pass this way again,

Even in this dream state

May I will be lost for all time,

But maybe I’ll find inner peace

And paradise in my mind,

And live out an eternity

Of beauty, peace and self love,

Living in a new realm

Of which I’ll never get enough.

Strange, funny even;
             someone spending two hours
in the gym at noon, sweating it out

then defeats the purpose at night
by wolfing down 3 large slices
                of cheese pizza for dinner!

Yet I hold my laughter and criticism
because I'm sure that at some point
              I've been unknowingly guilty
                  of such self-sabotage!

I'm also sure it has caused friction
            in relationships, even break-ups!

          Head-scratching; a dyed-in-the-wool
             pro-lifer vehemently supporting
the death penalty. I can almost hear
                 a thought out there going...

"What the? I don't get that one!"

        Yeah, it's a head-scratcher for me, too
I bet it discombobulates even an oxymoron!
It will make sense to me when 2+2 is 5!

it’s been so long
your silence deafening

we’ve become strangers
lurking in stifling
indifference
of meaningless
irreconcilable
emptiness

in stagnant stillness
the cord cut
dried up
the bond
disintegrated

A smug style
Watch deep set
A fake smile
Hedge your bet

A sharp brush
Watch odd twist
A touch harsh
Frame rude gist

A toss trite
Watch harsh take
A stroke bites
Proof of make

A lame duck
Watch time tell
A cold pluck
Dead-end quell

A sharp spike
Watch sad tale
A sad hike
Last wrong sale

A bad fix
Watch cheer melt
A coy mix
Fake touch belts

A lost cause
Watch touch turn
A strange pause
Note rude burns

irreconcilable

i asked her out, to date
inasmuch to amend
incomprehensible
insults slips from the past.
it was only coffee,
innocence wrapped branches
intertwined with olives.
