How can you focus on feeling, when you’re solely focused on complaining?
How can you focus on trusting, when you’re solely focused on doubting?
How can you focus on awareness, when you’re solely focused on projecting?
How can you focus on supporting, when you’re solely focused on invalidating?
How can you focus on accepting, when you’re solely focused on rejecting?
How can you focus on elevating, when you’re solely focused on lowering?
How can you focus on knowledge, when you’re solely focused on following?
How can you focus on fulfillment, when you’re solely focused on neglecting?
How can you focus on freedom, when you’re solely focused on submission?
How can you focus on shifting, when you’re solely focused on coping?
How can you focus on self, when you’re solely focused on everyone else?
How can you focus on your reflection, when you can't even see yourself?
Now ask yourself what and/or who are you surrounded by that’s blinding your focus?
What or who is blinding you from you?
Where is your focus?

Shattered shards of a broken kaleidoscope
Scattered and taped together
Different visions
Black and white
Full and empty
I’m not human
My face is twisted into a smile stretched thin
My soul unraveled and torn, clinging onto its last thread
Who am I?
Pieces of a long-forgotten psalm
Coerced together to create a distorted whisper
Clashing, scratching, something unholy
Bloody fingers pick at the scraps of my personality
Which one to choose today?
Mouth full of white lies
Can’t you hear me cry?
One day they’ll all come back to strangle me
Nowhere to hide
Eyes everywhere, staring, provoking
Pushing my limits
Slowly losing my sanity
Thrust into their box of righteous virtue
Invalidating feelings and emotions
Formed into stone
Shattered pieces of a broken kaleidoscope
Each piece a part of me
I don’t want to see

What’s my story?
It is brown eyes staring back at me.
It is attention to my mind to my libido
To my nemesis
Which is you
Lying in your own nakedness
Waiting—longing—for me to kiss you
But in my own disillusion I see you as
Me—a fantasy which I love to ponder on—
Us as one
How beautiful it could be
This hidden ignominy—
Immorality invalidating my mortality
With your sex inside of me, my mouth
My body, my all—
Worshipping another triumph—
But in truth a failure
This responsibility of self to abstain from
You I find subtly impossible—perhaps I do
Not yet fully want myself back on
Dry land breathing fresh sea air
Perhaps I still want to live this lie
But then the only answer is to die.

Entertaining myself at work today
Easier if I did not have a glass wall
But I do and I am right across from the sign in sheet.
People see and they scoff.
Probably thinking this is all that I do.
It is all I am doing this week.
The children are testing, testing, testing, testing, and testing.
School used to be fun. Not anymore. We have made sure of that.
Remember how we looked forward to the one BIG test?
The students today have so many little ones, they do not care about it at all.
This is reflected in their scores too.
Reminds me of my twin sister
Who used to use the ovals on the answer sheet
to make birds, rabbits, roosters and the like.
Which means she had to use an entire row sometimes.
Probably invalidating her test, but she likes entertaining herself too.

Why is it not okay for me to feel this way?
You get mad everyday when my feelings I try to portray
What is it ? Can’t you meet me halfway!?
You are supossed to put your girl on display not hide her away!
Unimportant and unloved is how I feel
You have no right invalidating my feelings, for real
I can be the best woman and when treated right I am the real deal.
Let’s start this over and see what we can reveal.
Because at this point in time I have decided I’m done
You never want to be around me, and when you are you never have fun.
If I am your girl, I should be your number one
But once so much damage is done, it can’t be un-done.
I want to hold hands and laugh with you
But by the way you act it seems like we are through
I was a fool I couldn't take a clue
Cause actions speak louder than words, they really do!

The angels have abandoned their light
Eclipsing the heavens into a cauldron of ebony
As the stars flare while attempting their escape
From the lifeless blackened blanket invalidating existence
The Blood Wolf Moon suspends itself
As if the orb on Satan's scepter had escaped
And found itself wedded to an invisible source
Of this monstrous and infinite abyss
This empyrean gift deeply burned
In the darkest and most hidden hole of Abaddon
From its firmament of torment
Of human suffering's endless plight
Under this cosmic Raven mass
From a distance so close, but far and closing fast
Impeding on the sensibility of consciousness
Thwarting the evasion of all reality
The silence was suddenly shattered as demonic toads croak
In incessant and escalating voices
Like the perilous screeching of rubber on asphalt
As they rejoiced in this perfect extinction
While all else lay silent

Current station in life no final destination
To sway and slay
The bright future which procrastination
Serves to waylay and delay
If temporary setbacks your vision should blur
In times of reverses
Attitudes should slur
In occult verses
Couched in perceptions
Marred by short termism
Buoyed by misconceptions
As to benefits of long termism bereft of determinism
Wild
Churlish
Riled
Childish
Pick yourself up from the seat of your pants
Dust off cobwebs
Emulating diligent ants
Which no adversity from their mission disturbs
Go back to your drawing board
To recast, re-evaluate your strategy
Without plunging overboard
Impairing and invalidating the synergy
That your desired outcomes requires
To advance your cause
As tired strategy retires
To repose and juxtapose
Sterling searches and researches into success
Held in your heart so dear
As your desired plans access
Best laid plans without any fear or tear.

let me get a hug
haven't hugged you
in a million years
the sweetness of
his lips
covered her mouth.....
invalidating the
forgotten years
and
the fumbling hug
became a kiss
