Introspect Poems

My soul was killing my flaws

I look at my soul killing its flaws. I appreciate it and let it do so. But when I came back to earth to show them a perfect human, I realized my mistakes made me who I am. Without my flaws, I am just a perfect human—but not me.

The fiery tiger lilies upon greenest stems are blossoming
As the sunset behind the gray clouds is dimly glowing.
Gratitude for how every one of us just keep on growing.

Introspect

Are you educated or just literate
Can you replicate or do you just imitate
Are you original or do you plagiarize
Do you comprehend or do you just memorize

How many of your aims are on target
If your reverence for God is on a budget
Are you given to greater works
Or are you wallowing in the allure of the perks

Do

Premium MemberWindward

The wind
is an agent of change
so I face it
head on
and welcome its
cold embrace
its cleansing properties
its whirling breath
that chafes my skin
and chills my core
and I ask it to change me
and it always obliges.

Premium MemberDriftwood

The shores
in my world
are cluttered
with driftwood
scattered in piles
along the dunes
and their twisted
sea-shaped and
sand-worn elegance
always calls to me
in their stranded
moments of grace.

Time To Introspect

What are we doing?what is our goal in life?

Be the topper in all? Have most money and fame?
To be praised by everybody?
We dress up well, attempt to look the best with makeup
and visits to beauty parlours and doctors
We run throughout the day to earn tons and

Introspect

When I look into your windows to see inside your soul,
I sometimes have to wonder what is looking back at me...
is it friend or foe?

I mean is it smiling pretty with no falseness in its transparent
veins? Or is it sinister? Is it a soul without a name?

Sometimes it is hard to

The Introspect

faith, you kill spiders and cry
faith, you won’t ask questions
how can you not care why?
you listen everyday to everything
as if it suits you at all
faith

sight, you see light where none shines
sight, your vision reflects
the earth’s glow through my blinds
but do you present my chagrin across
and how do you really love?
sight

soul, my tear-soaked little child
soul, you

Harvard Night Introspect (Walls Vs. Bridges)

Harvard, at night - You still sit on the lawn
with the weight of both structures alive in your arms
Rachmaninoff's tears turning black at your hips
The counting of friends on your five finger tips

Sawdust and poetry, building the wall
A thousand feet wide, a thousand feet tall
Running for life times, for miles, a span
built in your introspect,
