The Introspect
faith, you kill spiders and cry
faith, you won’t ask questions
how can you not care why?
you listen everyday to everything
as if it suits you at all
faith
sight, you see light where none shines
sight, your vision reflects
the earth’s glow through my blinds
but do you present my chagrin across
and how do you really love?
sight
soul, my tear-soaked little child
soul, you take in this world
with time you’ve grown mild
as you throw away scars and words and days
though I know, you’ll never change
soul
heart, I betray you, I know
heart, you’ve stood by my life
and it’s chains bind you so
I’ve scrawled missives on your walls, where they’ll stay
a thousand days passed known by
heart
